BTW I got two new pairs of flip flops for Mother'sDay...(one has bling and the other is pink with a pink leather flower on the toe.... flip flops have sure come a long way from rubber beach and shower shoes...also got a set of green flowered tools so the males won't "borrow" them. I guess I will toss clothes to make up for them.

I finally remembered on the way home tonight to stop at the store and get chamomille tea. I'm having a nice hot cup with fresh lemon slices squeezed in it. Nice! I need to unwind. Back to add - actually I bought two boxes of tea. I bought one unfamiliar brand that was 98 cents. I bought it because it was so cheap and I wanted to try it. I also bought a box of my usual brand, in case I got home tonight and found the cheap brand to be yuck! (this is sooo like me )

I imagine quite a few of us are going to experiment with the minty-fresh listerine feet!

Hi, everyone! I read p 1, then skipped to p12 & read to current. I seem to be joining this late... I spent way too much $ on Sunday. Therapy shopping. Been in a mood for several days...opened my 7 day pill box & discovered I'd missed a.m. batch for 3 days in a row. Well, d'oh! (wanting to poke Womble's relatives. Wait they're in-laws. Even worse.) I had a 30% off everything coupon for Kohls. I bought 45 pc flatware. Well, okay, mine were orig svc for 12, and are at least 30 y.o. Only 4-5 forks left. A mini-set of 12 flatware, fork spoon, knife for bitty's play. (too cute) (do we always buy what we wished we'd had ourselves?) a white w/ rainbow color polkadot umbrella for when I have to walk a bit in the sun. 9 pair panties. 2 white t-shirts, a black tank, a black sweater. costume jewelry. (lots) Then to wal-mart, groc shopping. Then to hdwr store, bought a 100' hose and $23 worth of flowers and veg plants, 3 packs seeds, had been looking for leeks and collard green seeds. Don't remember what the 3rd packet is, might be spinich. Monday, I went to the fabric store. Bought 3 pc 1/8 yd of quilting cottons, in yellows, for my "postage stamp" quilt. I had traded squares on a quilting board, but got so much unusable fabric in return, am just going to piddle at it, myself. Eyelet trim for a duvet cover I am making of two sheets. $1 Buttons for a pair of capri shorts I finished Monday night. I had 40% fabric coupon and 40% notions coupon. I picked up a peach zipper for a coral skirt... put it back, deciding to wait until I see if I have a suitable zipper on hand, and to bring fabric in to match. There was tango, too orange, and peach, too light. We'll see about that, later. I put the 40% coupon on the $1 buttons. Looked around for a fabric to use the 40% coupon on, didnt find one. Just as well, I am fabric heavy. (materialistic, I be.)

It suddenly occurs to me that I have not been! Oops!

Sigh. Another "material girl" here. My stash runneth over, so why can I never find the "right" fabric for whatever I'm making?
I don't have a huge problem with too many clothes, though, and no trouble giving away stuff that doesn't fit; but because I'm extremely short and round, I tend to find something that looks OK on and buy it in every color the manufacturer offers. I just did it again: I bought the skirt I always wear in dark red, a new color. Of course, I won't know exactly what color it really is until it comes, since I bought it on-line, or what it looks like with everything else in my wardrobe. Between now and when the skirt arrives, I'll figure out something to donate/toss.

Not because of any reason I can fathom other than maybe because it eliminates the need for decision-making. Until just this very minute, I always thought I did that because I wanted complete sets. I thought it was some sort of OCD compulsion. But now - suddenly - I realize it's just because decision-making is hard for me. I never realized that. WOW. Thank you for posting.

I have been out of town and went Monday till today (Thursday) after lunch without spending $.....but then, on the way home, stopped at 2 of the best Op shops ever! I bought about 6 picture frame (not sure why, I know I wanted 1 for a particular picture......) I also bought a scarf, a pair of earrings, a book about roses and some beads for the bead jar at work. I only spent about $20.......don't know about the photos frames.....

Thank you for all the poking of my in laws not seen them yet to bring it up I love fabric too and lovely patterns, I'm off to a quilting show on the weekend, OH is taking me as a belated birthday treat yay, I have managed to resist building a stash, but it is annoying as I don't drive and we don't have a local fabric shop so I can't just sit down and sew when the mood takes me. I'll use the show to see what fabric I like though as our fabric prices are so expensive I usually buy from US websites. I could look at pictures of peoples stashes all day long on the quilting board. I can't wait to see pics of your quilt mouseanne yellow fabric always looks so cheerful. My workplace is closing this week for a refit and we have a huge sale plus my staff discount its been very tempting as its food and kitchen stuff my favourite things I did have a basket full, but took DH with me when I went to pay for it and he talked me into to putting most of it back. I bought some food and I did get a few cake decorating bits.

finished making a pair of capri shorts Monday. Yesterday, selected a pair of shorts for donation box. Also picked out 3 more pairs of unders for donation. As for the 2 t-shirts and tank, if I gave away 3 shirts 2 wks ago, does that count for an "ofset" ?? womble, good for you for not stashing. It's a form of addiction. I tell people, no, I'm not a "hoarder". But, I collect... fabric... art supplies...office supplies... paper crafting supplies... needle art supplies... books... Here's some pix, not of the yellow, but of some blocks of my postage stamp quilt. (I learned from previous boards, to keep all my pix in the same thread.) takeonestepatatime.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=pics&thread=7892&page=10#274540
