I donated an unworn dress that no longer fits (price tag still on it, *sigh*) to the American Cancer Society Thrift Store near me. Also took a bag of cans and a box+ of recycling to a nearby recycling drop off. (And for a karma boost, picked up some stray bags and papers at the drop off and took care of them) Took out 2 bags of used kitty litter. The housemate has gone through several bags of clothing that were stacked in the basement and culled a bag to donate. He lost his home to foreclosure about 2 years ago and has crammed much of his stuff into a storage unit ... and my condo.

Today while doing laundry, I found a few more items to put in donation. Boy is growing like crazy. 2 PJ's "his size" that are too small, a pair of Khaki pants that look new, were hand-me-down to him and I don't see him wearing. One shirt out of my closet I don't wear any more. 3 never-used photo albums (hubby got these pretty cheapo and we have pics in a few but they have been in a cloth reusable bag in my closet for 6 months, 2 unused scrapbooks ..... that's all I remember that's in that box.

I took out 3 bags of trash today. One was tne usual stuff the rest extra things i wanted to get rid of. I also emptied a bag I had been using and threw that out to. I got a couple more things from the fridge to try and clear that out. Dh has a problem buying food. Its the reason his weight is up there he seems to panic if the fridge is only half full.

dear CatCat. Sometimes a good cry is just the thing. I got the trash out, BF took wheelie to curb. A lime went bad, and some of my free bread was moldy, but good show on that. I put 10 books in my donation box. I have to get rid of more! Good job all! I need to donate or toss a couple more things, because I got a couple of new things to me. One in, one out. Keep going and believe that the small efforts do add up.

Already posted on another thread that I filled 3 big bags of old stuff from attic & pitched it all. Things that I had left from when we cleared out FIL' s home to sell when he had to go into a nursing home. Very old things that could have had some value but I don't know. Also don't know who owned them, a couple of generations back. And some things that were ours. Maybe should have donated some few things, but cleaning them & finding where to send them would have slowed my progress tremendously. So--amnesty with a bit of guilt thrown in.

One item a day seems so easy, yet it has been almost a week since I last tossed anything.
A bottle of cologne. It was expensive, and it is nice, but it isn't me, so it's gone.

I got rid of a three-tiered metal plant stand that was old and rusty. I put it by the dumpster, and within half an hour, a woman carted it off to her apartment. One man's trash . . .

Two Twinings metal tea canisters. I used to store my teabags in them, but now I buy larger boxes and I can't get all the teabags in the canisters, so I haven't used them in years. They're gone.

Great job everyone! seashell and the neighbor. Starting the morning off trying to clean my craft/desk area. Yes sadly it's an all in one. I have ink, stamps, paper, etc coming out of my ears. I have "places" for most of it but when I get new, well that creates a problem. I am not ready to purge any old stamp sets yet. But I am organizing and cleaning up. There is so much that lands on my desk or the shelves near it. Into donation box:Another unused photo album (hubby brought home about 10 of these several years ago. He took it upon himself to put a bunch of old photos (before he was in the picture even) into a couple but I am not thrilled with these albums. I have about 5 or 6 now in a donation box. I will keep the ones that he put pictures in of course.) To Trash:One dollar store "gun" --- shoots little plastic balls. I found this in our bathroom (of course that's where all toys should be kept, right?) I know this came in a set of 2. Eventually the 2nd gun and balls will emerge. My MIL thought she should buy these for the kids when she was visiting in Jan. One partially designed "card in a box." I like the idea and I will make some to give away. But I really didn't like my choice of card stock and designer paper. Then I got busy with kids and didn't get back to designing with flowers, butterlies, etc. Will just start new when I'm ready. I am over that one!

A stuff-it sack from when I bought new bedding February 22. I kept it because I thought it might be useful for something, it's been on the floor being stepped over--and on--for over two months and now it's in the trash.

Tossed into recycle 8 yo's Valentine's box we made for school and all the cards. One more of those photo albums (they have been floating around the house since son had removed them from the bags I had them kept in from closet) Old Brita water bottle (son has chewed on the lid) 1 pkg Lawry's seasoning mix --- something that came as a sample and has been in cupboard awhile (2013 exp) 1 stamping wheel

Gave 25 hand crafted cards to my Mom today to add to her box she's sending to Operation Write Home. Some I made and some were from swaps. I had sorted through these yesterday. I had a few I needed to "doctor" ... put some white card stock inside because the paper is too dark to write on.
I have 7 more that I finished making today that I will give her next time I see her. Forgot to give her the 4 packs of paper I have to donate to her friend who does TONS of cards.
