Cando, Def, and Seashell.. all good.. I am impressed! Rice, a desk, and 3 bags of trash! Keep going, this is a new month. A new opportunity to get rid of 31 things! Or 31 days to get more organized. We can do it! Although I did not post yesterday, I did gather about 6 cardboard boxes and today will cut them down for trash. I do not need to keep boxes from Amazon whatever...If I can not think of something to purge, I go look at my books and add one to the pile. I have to get them out of here. Took all exes books off one shelf, and put some of my own there.. space! Only took me 5 years! I am going to forget about any ideas of selling them on line.. although you get about a 10 cents a book at Half Price Bookstore, I can not think about that. I may ask the BF to do it, he gets more for some reason and he can have the money for the work/time to haul it.

Hi! Thanks for the cheers, Misssue. Good job with the boxes. Yesterday I tossed these: 2 partial bottles of contact lens solutions & 1 wrinkled old apple. CD

Today I threw out about 10 pieces of paper that I did not save for scrap paper. I threw out some bread and rolls and other food scraps for the various critters that live near my job. A paper plate, a paper cup left my truck and made it to the trash pail. Last night I used a bunch of ripped up cardboard in the bottom of the trash bag to give it a little bit of heft and then put more trash in the bag and out to the curb.

I filled up my office size trash bin in my office ( home) with receipts and catalogs. I unearthed my reading chair in my office.. the nice one I can sit and read in, the one I kept for me that I do not need to slipcover! I was worried because I know that piling it with "stuff" not good for a chair.. like having a 200 lb person sitting in it 24/7! It was fine. Cushion needed a little fluffing. I had to put a light bag of clean Tupperware on it, no where for that right now.
I gathered some more books. BF did take two giant tote bags of books out for me. I got money for them, not much, but enough to pay for dinner for us both! I am going to take advantage of him willing to run to GW for me, no 2nd thoughts that way. Gone and more gone!
No matter what the item is, getting it out of the house is an accomplishment for all of us. I hope the more we all do, that we all get better at it, day by day. It is a good habit for me! Started a new pile of books to donate. I have plenty.
Sunshinehouse.. BIG applause for throwing out paper, food, and trash to curb. YEAH!
Thanks all for being supportive.. you keep me accountable!

Great job Missue, Sunshinehouse & Lil Ninja!!! March 1st, Friday -- 6 bags of trash to outside can, 2 bags of recyclable bottles/cans/jars, 8 small boxes, Went thru part of a shelf in my pantry area & tossed lots of expired cake, cornbread, brownie & cookie mixes -- oldest one was 3.5 years old. Also, 2 coffee cups from that shelf. Can you imagine if I had done the entire shelf?! Also did a "refrigerator boogie": Tossed lots of stuff from the fridge. Yesterday: 1 broken pair of sunglasses & 2 receipts. CD

Welcome LITTLE NINJA! I am so glad to see you here! Selfishly I was thinking if you joined and posted with us, we here could be motivated by you also! Spices and coffee cups.. way to go! You bring graphic style to the thread. I threw out some plastic containers, cheap Tupperware knock offs. I have washed some of my vast Tupperware in dishwasher and working to use those.. get rid of stuff I do not use. I did a purge of spices a few weeks ago. I told myself I have to keep the bottles in the drawer, and the biggies I buy at Sams or GFS, in the pantry. I had a ton of Weber Seasoning, free from representing them.. I got rid of the strong mesquite I did not like and some others... Hard to do, but out they went! Cando! 6 bags of trash! 8 small boxes! Mixes and the fridge! YOU are doing fabulous ! Here is to more real estate in our own houses! Me, I have to clean out my fridge, I dilly dallied yesterday before I went food shopping and did not do it. I have a box of mugs I purged before Christmas. UNDER my kitchen desk. So Ninja you reminded me of that! I also have these filled cupcakes left over from gulp a 2 years in my garage in a Rubbermaid. I don't think I will use them, and I sure don't need to eat bake goods I don't like. So more motivation from Cando.. and I all but forgot about them! WAY TO GO ALL who are contributing! Keep at it. Just one thing a day!

Tomorrow is Garbage pickup day.. so I have to hustle.
Still looking over mug box..like why I do not know. I have a lot of dishes. I did toss a Kitchenaid Timer that never worked.. I have a couple digital and my favorite Terrillon Timer that you can wear around your neck, I have had forever.. maybe 1980! I have continually worked on any paper or receipts that is about, big dent. I have to go in the freezing garage for the cupcake mix. See how this thread helps?
All keep going. Even one item you make a decision to get rid of, is helping all of us make good choices. My name is Misssue and I have way too much stuff!

A teal faux suede shirt which I love, but never fit right. Only worn twice. It's in my donation bag which I will bring with me Friday on my way to work. Gone pecan.

Garbage gone.. which since I pay it in my taxes, I try to always fill it. Big snow here today. A few boxes of cupcake mix as I said I had for too long! I still have some time tonight..and the mugs go to donation.
Welcome Ponygirl! Getting rid of things you like but never fit right. Way to go! I know I have a few of those...! Anyone else have just one item to donate or toss out?

Thank you for the thread welcome! I sure have my share of items that I'm holding onto that don't fit...that need to move out! I'm going to keep up with this since I've been making a big push (again!) to try to make a dent in my clutter problem. Last night, I tossed a big Cabela's catalog into my burn bag. We can burn in our area so we take advantage of that with whatever items cannot be recycled. This sucker must have weighed five pounds! There will be a spring version coming soon, of that I am certain!

Yeh way to go Ponygirl. I love a fat catalog.. I only keep the ones I use for my business! I know you can shop on line, but sometimes a paper does it. Good going.
I tossed any junk mail that came today before I got in the house. Other than my "dailies" tasks I do, dishes, laundry etc a low day. I did not toss much. But it all adds up.
Anyone else? Have a good night all. Small things do add up.. either going in the house, or out!
