I'm sorry you're coping with technical problems on a deadline, lostchild. That's the worst.
Brought in mail. Opened it. Sorted it.

Paid credit card bills.
Need to pay corporate credit card bill (set to autopay the minimum, but I need to go in and pay off the balance) and run payroll.

Put paper collected from current job into workable space. This is stuff that needs to be organized, accessible, and moveable.

1/2 an hour working on organizing work papers while also making a meal. It's a crazy mess right now and I can't see how it will ever become tidy or make any sense.

An hour on above project. Much better, but still chaotic enough to cause anxiety.
I may buy one of those plastic file boxes with a handle. It may just be a way to soothe anxiety and momentarily feel like I can get control of things. On the other hand, it is for my job and will probably actually help me be more organized.

Got all of household papers on desk and plastic container. Desk has three inches of papers and container is half full. This means I have about two weeks worth of junk. My dresser is cleared and ready to move. Nightstand ready to come back to room.

Spent another hour on the work papers. I made a lot of progress. My organizational system is almost worked out, but I still have several piles to sort through. I sure wish it were done, but at least it's more done than it was!

Good work, Louie! I went through a ton of work e-mail today. Filing and deleting. Took hours. Very tedious, but made a lot of progress.

thanks grasshopper and well done on your filing and deleting, sounds like you're making good progress! I paid a few more bills last night so all up to date. I have some paperwork to submit before the end of this month so I have planned to spent tomorrow doing that. Last night and this morning I spent hours going through my email account - I deleted over 1000 email and set up a different system to organise them. I also unsubscribed from heaps of lists. I know it's not papers but it links with the paper clutter for me. time to update my paper clutter 'to do' list: complete paperwork due end Oct 95% DONE complete the online questions - DONE upload documents submit completed form online finish shredding basket of papers four drawer filing cabinet in kitchen- sort through (contains papers from self employment) - this is 1/2 done [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]

For the past couple of weeks, I've been doing 2 x 12 minutes daily, alternating between the paper piles and the old magazine piles. It's been going well, not too much stress as long as I alternate. So as of today, I will increase the time to 3 x 12 minutes daily. My goal is 1 hour per day (5 x 12 minutes), but I'm sneaking up on it gradually.
