I'm excited tonight at tj maxx i found a folding barrier/ gate to put at the bottom of my stairs. This will keep the dogs from going up there to poop. I've been wanting to do something about that for awhile!! And I got a standing shelf organizer thingy for the downstairs br. I envision it holding tp, wash cloths, and maybe my make up. I'm at my dads for the night so ill have to wait til tmoroow to see if my acquisitions are going to work out! I set up the the standing 3 tier shelf organizer in my tiny downstairs br. It fits perfectly and is storing things exactly how I envisioned! I'm happy to get all the clutter off the tiny sink counter. Also the dog barrier is going to work fine. It's not very attractive but will do the job. I wish I has done this years ago before the dogs ruined the upstairs pine floors but to tell the truth until I saw this thing at the store the other nite it never even crossed my mind that something like this could work!

That's great cleanbee! It's wonderful when the things we acquire go to immediate use. That shows good planning and appropriate purchasing. No someday acquisition, that is right now acquisition!

angela. With all my purchases now I always keep in mind to buy things I need for the life I am living now. If it doesn't meet that requirement then most times it doesn't come home with me. And I've gotten better at returning things that don't work out in a timely fashion (keeping receipts in a place where I can find them has helped)! Occasionally I mess up, but not too often anymore. Have learned so much thru this site

Acquisition last night free from neighbor. A little space heater that looks like a little wood stove, complete with fake fire. I have just the spot for it upstairs. I had considered getting one of those little fake fireplace space heaters but this one was free and suits the purpose as well.

Bought a little artificial Christmas tree. I have not decorate one for at least a decade, as I do not spend Chritmas at home, but I do want to do it this yer. At least a small one, I would not bother with huge one.

Today I got a glade plug in (oil warmer?) with some Christmas-y scent. Pine or fir or somethin. Plugged it in by the litterbox and it smells wonderful.

Oh cleanbee, love the idea of a rosemary bush shaped in this way. Is it something that you can decorate? Purchased some christmas cards and a scented candle gift set for a friend. jendela. I used a few sprigs to cook with then it turned brown black and brittle. It was potted so I watered it a little but I guess it wasnt getting proper sun inside my house. I prob should have planted it outside right away, maybe I still can, and resurrect it, but at this point I won't be able to decorate it. Bummed.

Hi cleanbee - sorry to hear about the rosemary plant. I have never tried to keep rosemary inside - I did try a living Christmas tree once (cant remember the type) and I can't remember if we got more than one season, but I do know it went the way of many potted plants that have been under my care - not a pretty sight. As for a regular Christmas tree - the last time we tried DH had a major allergy attack, and the tree had to be banished to the outside. Hi lucie - love your green tea caddy - what a great purchase. So glad to hear you found it after 4 years of searching. This weekends purchase - DH bought a 2nd hand Wii - with the intention of both of us getting a bit fitter. It seems like fun, although I was horrified when it calculated my Wii age - hopefully I will show a rapid improvement once I start using it regularly. I also bought a book on hair styling for the teenage niece with lovely long hair. I will make my own gift set with a few different hair related items.

Today's acquisition - a retro, Christmas themed crystal/glass serving platter - quite small & practical - from a local charity shop. If I don't give it to my mother then I will keep it for myself.

Ok, I bought a new laptop. It was from Walmart and really cheap, but SO much faster than my 7 year old, $40 net book. It's sort of a necessity, with my work and all.
