Earlier today, DH was heading out the door and I handed him 2 kitchen size bags to take out, and told him that they were from the last few days, and told him about the bag a day challenge. He looked a little astonished. Then I explained that most days my bags were smaller, and he said, "Like sandwich size?" One of those 2 bags was from Saturday, so it won't be counted here, the other was from Monday. I have one more the same size ready to go out, that will count as yesterday's. I will spend about 5 minutes right now throwing out stuff to count for today's bag.

A friend came by the office today and I gave her a bag of aluminum cans for recycling that I had been saving for her. Now I have an empty recycle bin and can start saving again.

Third day and a third bag. Started to tackle a heretofore untouched part of the house. Plenty to go.

"I've counted as a "Bag" organizing or cleaning an area roughly the size of a bag, or so. As well as actual bags, and things. For example, cleaning my bathroom sink was a bag one day. My shower is on the hit list; for me, that'll be a bag."
Rob, does this mean that you are running out of rubbish? Congratulations if so. I like your idea, because there are two areas where I have blackslid greatly. My flat is at level zero: that battle is won I hope. However, I am too ashamed to list all the biscuits, cakes and sweets I have eaten in the last two weeks or so, and reveal how little walking in parks I have been doing. There is a downside to being organised, which is that I don't need to shop all the time. I went out just three times in three weeks for a quick visit to the shops, and had to force myself out. I have been reading and spending a lot of time online. Admittedly the books I am reading will be donated when I have a bag full, but going out and getting some exercise is important too.
Now that maintenance is established, diet and exercise are next on the list. I am not sure how this converts to bags, and am sure that I won't do one every day, but a bag of books every two weeks and a bag walk every two days could be something to aim for.

robnoxious007 You're doing GREAT!! I wish I could come over and watch your progress! I'd even help, but ONLY if you let me. I can't have anyone help me cus I'm too OCD. I HAVE TO sort and decide on every little thing: keep, sell, give to family/friend, donate, recycle, or trash. I've tried to change this, but I just can't seem to do it any other way. I decided 4 years ago to sell my house... but I'm still here... 4 years later.

ugh...the pile in my driveway that someone was supposed to pick up? Well she never did and it got wet and now I have to deal with it. Time to find new, dry boxes and put the stuff that did not get ruined in the new box. the rest in the trash. I might just put it all in the rtash - but I still need to collapse the boxes.....wet cardboard is the worst
UGH....

Cleared the top of the sideboard/buffet in the living room. Just 'stuff' that had been put there. And cleaned the top.

This afternoon when I traveled from office A to office B, I took a minute and grabbed the trash from the car and discarded it at office B. Two McDonalds bags filled with assorted little bits of trash.
