Finally stopped raining and the mud has almost all dried up. Yay!! I have got my house "almost" caught up...dishes and working a little more on laundry. I have been throwing away clothes and anything that I know I really don't need. I don't really consider myself a "clothes hoarder"....clothes are about the last thing in the world that I care about...but my problem is throwing away anything that can be used. So I will keep things that are "good" even though I don't wear them. So, been going through and tossing clothes. To donate or give them away, I would have to wash them, and most of what I have aren't anything anyone else would want. I think $50 would buy my whole wardrobe a couple times over...since everything I have except socks and underwear came from a yard sale or thrift shop. So, been doing that. But, I haven't been out to the storage buildings because there is always so much to be done in the house, it is hard to get out there without feeling guilty about things I should be doing inside. BUT! My water well needs work....my husband said he would bring the part when he comes home this evening. So I can't wash dishes, or clothes, and you really can't clean very much without water. (He told me to throw the switch on the pump if I needed some water and it would work...and it didn't work, so....) The animals all have plenty of water so they will be fine until he gets home to fix it...so I am on my way right now...right this very moment....to go out and work on my two projects...finally. Time is running out. This month is almost gone and I have two buildings to sort through. Enough of my tireless chatter...I am going out there now!

Oookay! One load out. These are things I want to keep, so they need to be washed and put away, but until my husband is home to fix the water well...nothing is getting washed. Actually it will all have to be washed because it is all collectibles and dishes...but, good dishes. So I will wash those and put them in my friend's shop, but some of it, I will list on FB or Craig's List. Anything that will sell though, will go thru the shop because I live way out in the country a long ways from neighbors, and I don't want people I don't know coming here.

I took a vacation, my parents got sick and then the computer went down. I'm back to hopefully get a lot done in April.

Lucie, congrats on finishing the scary (and dirty!) attic--I take it you did not encounter any wildlife? Ellen, I hope you get your water back, that's not fun. It would be great to clean the stuff and get it OUT to your friend's store. D2M, I know you spend a lot of time with your sick parents, they're lucky to have you. Yes, one month left, so let's renew our commitment to get working. I've been doing so-so on the stretches, although I think I'm back on track now. They feel good again, whereas for a week or so they were feeling uncomfortable, as though I was doing something wrong. I have had a sore shoulder for a while, although I'm stretching that one more gently so I think it'll be okay. My cleaning schedule is...well, I'm not sure what to say about it. It's not a schedule, and some things aren't getting done at all--but other things have kind of become second nature and I don't even need to remind myself to do them. My pet care schedule varies so much I'm coming to realize that I have to be more flexible about it than I thought, but I do usually manage to have a chunk of time off on Monday so I find myself doing the floors on Mondays. So I think I have to say my cleaning schedule is still in transition. I have done nothing with the blinds, but I no longer feel the same dread about them so I'm going to try to do some this week. Something interesting has happened with the boxes of books though--now that the books are gone from in front of the book case, and I also moved a basket from one side of the book case--the 4 boxes that are in the corner are now looking very obvious and I keep wanting to start working on those. Those are all sale books, and they'll take a long time to get through, but I might add working on those boxes to my goal for April. Maybe not necessarily finishing them all, but at least starting, and maybe seeing if I have room in the 2nd BR to put one or two of the boxes. I have a small table that holds a basket with my parakeet supplies, and that would fit perfectly in that corner. The table is currently in the other corner of the room, near the parakeet cage, but it sits in front of a CD shelf, so any time I want to see the CDs I have to move the table. It would make more sense for it to be in the corner where the books are. So that's where I am. This week I'm going to clean at least one set of blinds, and do my best to get the stretching exercises back to every day. And maybe list a few books. Diane

The floor in my sewing room is still clean with no piles and I actually invited some friends in to see my boot patcher machine this afternoon. The two chairs had stuff piled in them, but it wasn't too bad. The living room was worse, but I explained that I had worked on taxes all day yesterday and had not picked up anything in nearly a week since I had been gone from daylight to dark and they were fine with it. It's good to have friends!
In April, I want to get my public areas company ready and empty the chairs in my sewing room. I'm off to the farm again bright & early tomorrow, so I'll have to wait till a rainy day to do much. I could take some paper and jot down things to do while I am resting tomorrow.

Nope, no traces of wildlife in my attic, dtesposito. Only heaps of dust creatures. Literarly buckets of them. I have to add it to my maintenance list and sweep it at least once a year. Sweeping once in 20 years is obviously not enough. Aaaand I must remember to mist it with some water before sweeping next time - the fine dust was everywhere.

I haven't been on in a while since I have been extremely busy around here with all sorts of things happening including my mom going in for hip replacement surgery on April 15th. I also found out that the cancer has grown again so the doctors on Friday gave me a double dose of the injection and I had to have an iron infusion. I was finally able to get a majority of my bedframe up to my room but have to get what I have up setup before I bring up the last two pieces. I may try to do that during this week but am uncertain right now how much will actually get done. 1) get my room cleaned and organized especially all of the paperwork - I was trying to get my neat subscription updated but am having serious difficulties so now scanning got done 2) Make at least 2 food items for me each week from scratch - Made homemade salsa and made a vegetable stir fry 3) Go thru the rest of my items in the attic - Haven't started yet 4) Go thru my items in storage - We have now gone thru quite a few items in storage and are trying to sell some items and drop others off for her older children and grandchildren. 5) work on straightening out my bills - Have been focusing on getting medical insurance for my boys and I and think it is finally all situated but since doctors don't want me working I have to do some new forms and change things around. I am still working on that so other bills have taken a back seat for now but once I have money I definitely need to focus on bills again and try to get things paid down or even off. One item I absolutely need to work on is getting my educational loans forgiven since I am not making enough at this point.

The last week was crazy and this week I have something going on every day until Friday. I am looking forward to getting some time at home to work on my goals.
My three goals were: - establish an exercise program - handle 2 financial matters - main rooms of house clean enough to let people in.
I did not make any progress on my goals last week. None at all.
I really must move ahead rapidly this week. Especially on the financial matters. Wish me luck!

The floor in my sewing room is still clean with no piles Andrea, I'm sorry you're still going through medical worries--I wish you had more help so you didn't have to be moving bed frames around. Goldfinch, are the financial matters things that you can break down into baby steps? Write them all down and just commit to doing ONE step at a time--maybe that will get you started? I've gotten some more paid work scheduled for the next couple of days--I was planning to have half days off for the next 3 days and hoped to start on the blinds again. (No, really, I did--I really and truly did....) I WOULD follow my own advice and break it up into little steps, but I was already doing that--I would only wash a tiny section at a time. And then my sunporch looked really messy because the step stool, rags, paper towels and spray bottle were sitting there for days at a time. Saturday might still be a half day, if it is I WILL work on the blinds. Sooner, if I can make myself start. Diane

It's 12:30 a.m. and I am just now getting finished up with all my regular stuff...mostly taking care of animals. I have 33 baby animals to take care of, besides the horses, cats and dogs. I washed and put away the things I took out of storage but that isn't much to show for one month already gone. I am going to make a list tomorrow and work off of that and see if I can stay focused and make some headway. I was going to make the list tonight, but too tired...so I will think about what I need to put on the list and make it in the morning. I have so much I need to accomplish this "year". I know that sounds crazy to say "year" but I have decided if I can't get all my junk, etc. under control by the end of the year, going to think about selling this place. I am working myself to death and have so little to show for my efforts. Either I need to redirect my efforts or do something entirely different.

I hate this lap top. I lost my post. So, briefly...to re-cap. My husband decided to take the day off, so that always affects how much I can get done because he always wants me to help him work on whatever he is doing. Today it involves getting the tractor running and going down the road a few miles to pick up a brush hog (mower) that he bought. My plan is to work an hour on my project. I think I can finish it in about four or five days of working an hour at a time because I have already done a lot on it. Also need to wash dishes, put away laundry and do more laundry, since he brought home 3 trash bags full off the boat...including blankets, etc. Need to bring out plants that overwintered on the sun porch. Okay...running late now...got to feed horses, cats and baby possums. Y'all have a good day.

Ellen, if you can take care of 33 babies AND work on your goal, then I can certainly commit to doing some blind cleaning when I get home this afternoon. I work until about 3:30, so I have the whole evening free. Thanks for the inspiration!

Ellen, I hope you're having a productive day and all the babies are doing well. I had an extra dog walk sandwiched in during the time I was supposed to get a break, so I came home with very sore feet. However, since I publicly said I would do something with the blinds (hmm, I'm thinking of other things I could do with TO the blinds) I am happy to report that I have washed 1/2 of one set of blinds. I really did not want to, but I needed to do it right away because once it gets dark I can't see well enough to know if I'm removing all the dirt. So yay, half a blind done. It's the top half too, which is harder because the top several slats require your arms to be up in the air the whole time. I will do my best to get the other half done by the end of the weekend, so by Sunday night. What an icky job. Diane

I moved the printer that I had set up in front of the couch to do taxes to the sewing room and removed the small folding table it was sitting on. Today I cleaned off the plastic table that I used as a coffee/end table and scrubbed it. I will be folding it up and slipping it under the couch tomorrow and setting up my new coffee table. Before I bring in the wagon rim, wood, glass and base, I need to sweep, mop and lay the new throw rug.
