dtesposito...this is a great idea for a thread. Should be long-runner!
I posted a couple of days ago in the wrong thread...about taking down my Christmas tree. Yes, it's still up. If it had been a real tree, it would be a dry stick right now.
My younger son is visiting next month or in July, and he bet me money that it would still be up when he arrives. Hah! We'll see about that! Giving myself one week to get it down. Just got back from my room...five whole days, a few readings and lots of rest. Anyhow, I need to give myself another week for this as today should have been the day the Christms tree came down!
Giving myself one (more) week to get that tree down. And win money.

6/4 Anti-Procrastination - put away 1 earring
A few months ago, a pile of stuff fell off the living room side table. A few weeks ago, I spotted an earring under the table. I left it there to remind me to look for the other one. A few days ago, I was in the gold drawer of my jewelry box, and saw the other earring.

6/4 Anti-procrastination - got trash bag & gathered 4 outdoor pet bowls, put in carport to wash later. (needed them out of the way to set out the new flowers) have more pet bowls in kitchen to gather. Also, some random sacks of food bowls *somewhere*. Not sure where. Basement, I expect.
6/5 Anti-procrastination - dusted off box of kidney care canned dog food (was sitting on the kitchen floor), dropped it off at the Veterinarian, he can re-sell it.
She asked me if I wanted credit, I said, No, no pets. She looked startled. Apparently the after 5:00 clerk just noted the file without telling the receptionist when I reported Token's death. She seemed to want to hear about it, so we talked a few minutes. The vet had given me free office visits twice, two dogs, charged just one, and when Token was sick, a free visit, just charged treatment supplies.

I need to actually put papers into the accordion file not just sit them on top of it. What do I think is going to happen they are going to get in there by osmosis?

What do I think is going to happen they are going to get in there by osmosis? razy you mean that papers dont file themselves through osmosis? I guess i have to pick my pile up off the floor and put them in the filing cabinet. my procrastination project for this week: i will mow and weed whack the grass tomorrow. Its been about three weeks since i last mowed and we just had a week of rain. As for the weed whacking, ive never done it here and its now my second summer here. I will post tomorrow when i finish.

Papers filed. A few old papers thrown away. Insurance paid. Car registration bill put out for paying later, in person. Great thread - I wouldn't have done this without it.

dtesposito - i can relate to the "many wall calendars." what a great idea! i have lots of art, but i always have two big wall calendars per year - one in the living room by my desk, and one in the bedroom by the bed. i love to look a nice pictures too, and have the months change the "art show." what a great idea to have these calendars be your changing "wall art." it turns out that i don't really like the calendar in the bedroom- i buy online and it looked good in the picture, but the pictures are not my style. i also have a "mini wall" calendar in the kitchen. i'm pretty boring - i usually go for a handfull of artists that i really like. my problem lies in throwing away expired wall calendars - i LOVE the pictures so much. razy - congratulations on getting rid of your old wall calendar and finding more stuff to throw away - and dusting! as much as i hate dusting, the sparkle afterwards is always worth it. my procrastination item is a ton of paperwork for disability. i have put it off - for a month. i gathered all the requested documents - but now i am supposed to log my monthly income - since 2005! i can't do it. i don't even have those records anymore - and i did not start invoicing online until 2012. they want the seemingly impossible. i am so "stuck" regarding this project! i called my case worker last week, with a lame message that i was having trouble with the paperwork - and i am. no callback - of course.it puts me in absolute dread and paralysis. so. i need to "just do it." and- not at night when i am tired and fuzzy. if i find i can't manage it, then i need to "get help" and stop procrastinating! part of me feels ashamed and undeserving. part of me just shuts down at ANY paperwork - and in my life, there is a LOT.
