The dog wanted to go out during that last list, also my decluttering client called me back half an hour after we talked to discuss some other things. It is so mild outside!

Then I will have lunch. It's supposed to rain this afternoon and it looks grey and windy outside, but the radar doesn't show rain anywhere near us. I think I will clean out the seed pool just in case, it avoids a lot of work if I clean it out before a rain.

mylittlescholar yay for party fun!
catcats SO happy that poor, old, blind doggie was found safely!!!!!! Someone stealing, then dumping him. That is when I really hate people!
desposito I rarely have the energy to put things away after shopping. Even with DD1 to help, going to the store, self-checkout, loading, unloading at home is a lot. The nice thing about winter is that if it's cold enough we can leave refrigerated things in the garage for awhile. If we have to bring them in right away that is all that gets done. The non-perishables wait til whenever.
bree DD2 originally was at a big university in New England far away from home. When we had the awful troubles around here and she transferred closer to home I could go up when she needed help and she could come to me when I needed help. It felt so much better knowing that we were within driving distance. No matter how *grown up* they are we always feel those maternal instincts to protect. I hope things ease up for her very soon.
Not much happening around here. I have been feeling very run down, kind of flu-ish and my left kidney is having problems again. If it gets bad enough it usually means a hospital stay for stones that need to be removed surgically thru my back and a bad infection with a high fever. Unfortunately for me I tend to produce very large stones. I've been drinking lots of water (some with lemon juice, occasionally with apple cider vinegar) and am back on marshmallow root supplements which seem to help a lot when taken regularly.
Today the septic tank was cleaned out. That's good for another 2 years. I moved the folding table back into the garage a few days ago. It really helps with getting things sorted for donations. Otherwise stuff was just sitting in piles in the family room. I got small water bottles refilled and DD1 restocked the water crates in the powder room. Temps have been very mild for February, supposed to be 63 tomorrow. Love that!

Good afternoon scholar and danny!
I did go out and clean the seed pool, and a little while later it started to drizzle so I thought, "just in time." The drizzle lasted about 60 seconds and then the sun came out.
I've been working on rearranging the fridge and putting groceries away, I still have more to do. I think I will go down to the basement and find a bigger bin for the top shelf of my fridge, it's where I keep the current food containers that have brown rice, veggies, beans and shredded cheese, so I can just pull the whole bin out and make my dinner. Things are always falling out of it though because it has two layers of containers, so if I can find something deeper I think it will work better. After that it should be time to feed the dog and see if she wants to go out again.

Danny, I'm glad I'm not the only one who takes a couple of days to put things away after a shopping trip. I ended up putting the groceries on the porch back in the cart, along with a bunch of bags, this way it looks neat and I can deal with them when I have time. I found the perfect size bin for my fridge, now I need to transfer stuff into it and put the last produce things away that are sitting on the work table near the fridge. At that point I will consider myself back to baseline.

We just had a 20 minute thunderstorm, complete with lightning and what sounded like hail for a few minutes there. The thunder didn't seem to bother the dog, though, and it's over now so I hope it was short enough that she didn't care about it.
It's time to get ready for bed, good night, see you in the morning!

bree, hugs for all you do for your DD. I can so relate. Even though my DD is a grandma herself, if she has trouble at work or with her health, etc., I worry, pray a lot, and help her in any way I can. Sometimes I help with a little money though she does not ask. I understand your worry. It doesn't get easier just because they grow older. Mine is pretty independent, but I still worry. Today I did the dailies, took out trash, and did laundry and folded the dryer contents. Mixed 2 kinds of dry cat food and refilled containers. PUPA in different rooms. Cleaned up a Latte oopsie from his eating too fast ( I think.) It was in the LR. Wrote out a bill and a donation. Processed mail. My right ankle was sore today, but I was able to use the stairs carefully. I did a lot in my Math book today and I have now hit a rough spot which I wasn't even going to do . I had taken Geometry in H.S., and I loved it, but I have hit a page or two which I don't recall ever learning. I will keep trying. Talked with my BFF in CT and we watched some news together. Hoping everyone has a nice Friday. catcats

Good morning!
Today is the last warm day (high of 56) before a week of 40 and then going down to mid-30s, which is probably typical for us in February. I have a new hand pruner and would like to go out and cut some of the annual stems that no longer have any seeds for the birds on them.
Happy Friday to everyone!

Warning - big huge dump!!
I have been absent lately - so much going on My parents house sold the buyer insisted on closing three weeks early so we had to plan to close at 3 weeks in instead of 4-6 weeks closing is in about 1 hour we signed everything so we do not have to go I had to get a waiver that I could have access to the garage to get the last of my stuff out the two real estate agents are clueless and texted me last night about what stuff in the garage could the new owners toss. Ummm....nothing? the buyer and his lawyer are two men who have never had anyone say no to them. Talk about old white men privilege! I am one of the nicest (usually) people in the world and this is making me a raving lunatic!
I have been there late at night and early in the morning I have taken so much time off from work I am so stressed out the other day I had popcorn and swedish fish jelly beans for my daily food intake
I had someone step up and help me - we loaded her mini van and made 5 trips. This is stuff that I need to go through. You know the last bits get shoved in a box? There are papers and things that will likely get tossed but I was in such a hurry they got shoved somewhere. On my work from home day I took an SUV load to the mission.
There isnt much left but I have 10 days to get it out.
I am going to throw all the trash in the dumpster myself at my request. I am hoping it is cathartic and I can release all of those emotions I have kept bottled up
I also finalized my aunt's estate yesterday and he is in the process of breaking down all of the investment accounts.
I have had 4 hours of sleep and I am being fueled on the last handful of jelly beans and arnold palmer "lite" iced tea.
someone went to grab me a salad with chicken so I will slowly get back on track.
I have continued my work on getting the two rooms set up. Currently I am sharing my bed with two boxes of music that are headed to the high school for the orchestra and ensembles to use. Seeing my stuff together in one place makes it easier to decide what can go. Granted I am still working on the low hanging fruit
I am also working on incorporating fun into my schedule. Saturday night we are taking the bonus grand child to a movie night at her school. That should be fun.
I just keep dreaming about when I can go to sleep! 4 hours last night did not cut it for me!
OK - I feel better just dumping this off my chest. And I have to say, surprisingly, the woman who helped was so non judgemental. I will never allow her in my house but she understood the task at hand.
OK - so much for my update!
