Good morning womble!
Thanks for starting the thread, lennon!
Today the handyman comes to do the tilling, some time around 11:00. It's going to be another warm day, not quite as warm as yesterday but at least mid-70s. I have a preview of how I'm going to feel in summer, I felt so sluggish yesterday once it got really warm in here. I didn't use my air conditioner, thinking it was so early in the year and surely it couldn't get too bad, I probably should have.
I just got back from the UPS store, I figured I might as well get that out of the way today since it will be rainy for the next three days. I dropped off the ink cartridges to recycle for free, and an Amazon return, and mailed some things on the way there.
I'll try to get a few things done before 11:00, it's nice that the house is uncluttered so I'm not running around last minute putting things away!

Good morning, everyone. I was feeling a bit under the weather and hope to start getting on top of things around here again.
Diane, we had some early warm temps around here too and the upstairs gets very uncomfortable so the air has been turned on up there. The AC guy is coming today to do annual maintenance. I'm still under the two-year warranty for the new furnaces and AC units which will save money. Normally I am scurrying around trying to make things as decent as possible before someone needs to come in. If at all possible, I prefer to keep people out. Although for this repairman most of his work will be outside, I'm pretty sure he will need to come in and check how things are working in the furnace room where the inside units are and possibly the things that work the temperatures upstairs and downstairs.
I'm not stressed this time which is great, but it will throw me off with working as I don't want to get into any projects until after he leaves. So I'll be chipping away at whatever jumps out.

Well Monday comes round again. I had paid work during the weekend, and an interview due this week, plus a lead on another job, though because of some complications couldn't start for a few weeks yet.. I am pleased to have got my car cleaned up, my dad is having to give up driving so I'll be doing a spot of chauffeuring soon. It was a stormy start to the day, and looking about I realised that the bathroom was the most respectable room on the house, so this morning I set about wiping down the walls, and surfaces.. The toothpaste smears are gone, as has a good deal of dust... If I go in there and close the door i can pretend to be almost a normal person. I've not been kind to myself lately, but today I also got out to the swimming pool, it was busier than expected, apparently local schools have a training-day, so it was a case of dodging diving teenagers. Anyway, the eternal washing up needs another round, i think the water should be warm by now, so here we go again . ...one more pocket of organisation in the chaos, now that the winter duvet is stashed away the rest of that cupboard got sorted; sheets/pyjamas/lotions.. There is a hanging rail in there, ideal for those hardly ever used clothes. I'm going to try to be a good girl and turn off the lights by 11, hopefully there will be no crazy world events on the news tonight to keep me up👀

Good afternoon!
The handyman came 45 minutes early (luckily I was ready) and left at about 2:15, so he was here for 4 hours. I'm exhausted, because I did work a good part of the time he was here--in fact, I mowed most of the grass again! It was getting a little long already, but not to where I would normally cut, but since the mower was out I figured, take advantage of it. I also unrolled the whole hose which is long enough to go out to the alley, so I could completely untwist it, then the handyman attached it to the porch for me. I was able to roll it back up very neatly in two sections--so that the first section, which is long enough to get to the birdbath, is separate from the longer part which I only use occasionally--this will help it not twist up on a daily basis. I did some weed whacking too, and picked up a bunch of gravel from one of the areas he worked on.
Of course, there was a complication, as always, which made him stay longer than he would have--there was a row of bricks that someone had put along one of the plots, and they had sunk down unevenly under the surface, I had no idea they were there. So he had to dig them all out. And it was hot out there...
But today is over. If the weather cooperates, he will be back Friday for shopping, that's good because it gives me 3 days in between. I decided I need more paver stones for two of the newly tilled areas, and he will buy lumber for the area over the concrete slab.
I just ate lunch but I will need to sit for a while longer to cool off, and to rest my sore feet.

Hello danny, decade and oust!
Danny, I hope your AC guy visit goes well--I know the feeling of not being able to start anything major when you're distracted by someone who will be coming by. In fact, I have been putting off the roofing guy because I was so overwhelmed by the extended bathroom work--and now I have more handyman visits. I really need to call the roofer, but, not today.
When I was outside I saw several bees and 3 different kinds of butterfly. The yard now has violets in it, as well as some dandelions, but I still don't think there's much for them to eat. I will put out more fruit the next time I go downstairs--I have no idea if it's helping, but I guess it's not hurting anything.
I have a few hours until dinner time, especially since I just ate lunch. I need to check all the seedlings, then I'll try to figure out something useful to do while sitting down so I don't waste the rest of the day.

Hi scholar, I hope you got yourself together for your errands.
I haven't done a whole lot, other than deleting emails and taking care of seedlings and houseplants. I did get another call from my decluttering client too.
I think I'm going to have cereal for dinner and get to bed early. I have a giant to-do list for tomorrow so I'm glad I got the UPS store over with this morning.
I also realized today is the reporting day for the challenge thread, but I didn't do anything but seedlings so I can post that tomorrow.
Good night everyone!
Diane

Happy Monday! did a quick read back, as always people working away! yesterday I did finish my taxes but it took three hours as the one thing I had to check was hard to find information on and of course being the day before taxes were due, wait times were super long. waited a really long time and then was given a phone number that could not help me. my bad. I was so late. I finally read a bunch of stuff online, did the best of my ability, and pressed SEND! then I did DD taxes. finished them this morning and pressed SEND! phew.
poor puppy is having health issues. I noticed on our walk yesterday it looked like she maybe had hemorrhoids but looks more like an anal gland issue. this is prob TMI. was able to get an appointment at vet today but puppy was too wild to treat so she has to go back tomorrow and be sedated. my poor baby. she is on an anti inflammatory and painkiller right now. So I was unexpectedly out of work for two hours and now I have to do work becuase i have stuff due at 9 am that I did not get to...ugh.
I had to go to grocery store to get some food to bury pills in for puppy. she was pretty lively for her walk (confesion: I was hoping her pain pills would result in a sleepy puppy but no! reminds me of when she was spayed she had to take tranquilizers after because she was so rambunctious vet was afraid she'd pull out her stitches).
I feel so bad for my sweet puppy
So now I have to go do alot of work work. I did do the dishes, cleaned the litter.
have a good night and please if you are so moved offer up a prayer for puppy!! thanks

Good Evening everyone, i am back again
Ohblondie, i just hate papers period. Once i get working on them i seem to be pretty good and fast, but its the putting it off all the time that makes things so much worse, then like you, i completely forget about them! How are you Diane? Womble, so sorry about your dog. Bree, your puppy so always so full of energy, i hope she feels better soon Reve, i am envious of your lists....great job Decade, great job putting away winter blankets and getting things done. I also put away my winter things today after changing the bed
Here i went out on my scooter to a new park opening it was about 3 miles away and i enjoyed the ride. They had free food! There was a Taco truck and an ice cream truck. I ate both and enjoyed watching little kids play on a small football pitch, it was colored Blue. I usually go to work go grocery shopping and thats it, today i wanted to at least do something for myself and i am glad i made it there.
