The irony is that the original post that I deleted was supposed to be funny, but then I deleted it because I wasn't sure if it was funny or not, and didn't want the stress of being misunderstood. yet ... the thread evolved into something that has made me laugh all day! Your funny thread worked a treat, Lion!

Ahem. Have you people been drinkin'? REGARDLESS - ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!" I don't know. Should I answer as a mid? Make that MID. NO mod. Should I answer as a member? Ok vino at supper. Do I count the Metamucil that supposedly tastes like ground gristle. But how dies no does anyone know what ground gristle tastes like ?!?! Anyway I should probably not be typing on my iPhone while lying in bed. After drinking vino ground gristle and etc. I just had three cookies. Does that count?

I just had three cookies. Does that count? If you're eating them in bed and getting crumbs on the sheets, be careful. Because, as you know... Too many cookies soil the cloth.

I heard "tea" and "cookies" - that's all it really takes to get my attention. PAR-TAY!

This reminds me of my childhood declaration that the steak tasted like feathers. Agreeing that cookies eaten in bed without due cause would lead me to squalor courtesy of the crumbs. Due cause ... thank goodness I'm not bedridden. Though the cookies are "off" for me. I'm off for some decadent reading in bed. Also agreeing that wholesome laughing out loud does not erupt from my innards much but this thread grants me that. Thank you Lioness.

Darn it, this post got churned around in my other stuff and I couldn't find it when I needed it, so I ended up running out to the store to buy another one just like it!

I'm so laughing out loud, and that rarely happens for me based on something I read online.
But I need to get on with my chores, so I've put this file in a cardboard box on a high shelf in the closet, with the intention of donating it in 6 months, without looking at it. However I will forget what's in it, take it down and open it up and loving reread and fondle it instead, enjoying the memory, and then put it back in the closet where it shall live forever.
Or perhaps try to find a similar thread, and declare it a collection. If its something I'm collecting I am allowed to keep it.

You do realize that in 2023, some new member is going to bump this thread up to the top of the board. "Look, I was reading thru this old pile of posts and this one is dated 2013! Can you believe that I keep posts that long? Jeepers! I HAVE to get these things organized!"
Meanwhile , in the NOW of 2013, thanks for the laughter today, everyone. Goodness knows I needed it!

Okay, enough already. We have tripped over this thread, put it up, taken it down, had the cat spill tea on it, watch the dog eat it, put it in boxes, and time traveled into the future with it to see what it might be doing in 2023. I say we donate it to a worthy charity forum where someone will buy it, have it for a while, then put it in an online garage sale where someone like me will buy it and bring it back to SOoS, saying, "Isn't this awesome? I've never seen another one like it and it was such a bargain! I just know I can find the perfect place for it or discover a use for it or sell it to make some money or give it to someone as a gift. I'll just put it right here until I can decide what to do with it..."

But wait, Celeste... Couldn't we take a photo of the thread? That way, we could be reminded of the memories, but not have to keep the thread itself!

This thread is such a treasure and nothing in the universe will ever be this funny again, right? Perhaps some members might want to save this thread for their children? Yes, yes, that's the perfect donation destination. Our children (or nieces/nephews/godchildren/whatever) Because you know, grown children will definitely all want a discombobulated thread with some funny memories and chewed edges with tea spilled on it, right? In fact, I'm sure they'd want us to get it to them right away. I'll just contact the moderator of childrenofhoarders.comand tell her about the used thread that they just have to come pick up right now! They'll be so thrilled. Because you know, they don't have any threads quite like this. Well of course, proboards format might not fit their format, but, who cares if it actually fits or is useful. We'd be giving them a "treasure"!
