Good morning ohblondie, thanks for starting the thread! I had an early walk this morning, as I will every weekday this week. It was good to be out on this bright, pretty, cold morning. Now I have about an hour until I go out for my usual mid-day work, so I will finish breakfast and at least do my usual morning chores. Finish breakfast Clean up after breakfast Pigeon care Make bed Scoop litter pans Diane

Good morning everyone Hi Diane ... Hi Ohblondie !!! I am so happy it is Monday. A new week. A fresh page/start! I do have several things planned this week but it's spread out somewhat and should not be overwhelming!! Then to look forward to on Saturday is a Gem and Mineral Show -- I can't wait!! I'm hoping to find some chakra crystals!!! Seems like the perfect place. But first things first -- 5 days til that event! DONE: * shower * peppermint and wild orange in my necklace diffuser * breakfast * cat care * started laundry * meditative reading * renewed one library book Today one thing I really aim to get done is organizing and clearing out my top smallest dresser drawer. It's wide regular width but it's only about 4 inches deep but it has become a clutter magnet of small things. My plan is to empty everything into a medium sized box and take that to the dining table (which is cleared off) and go thru each item -- deciding -- keep, throw away, pass along, etc. I'm hoping that this start will help kickstart a series of me going thru not just drawers but several cluttered magnet areas in our home. I can't work in our bedroom since my husband "lives" in there 24/7 almost unless we're in the truck. Most of the rest today is routine -- press on with laundry, call Mom, livestream, continue organizing my books etc. Oh, and this is funny: yesterday while I was at the spiritual center that nutty cousin of my husband returned with 3 books which he gave to my husband for us to keep he said ... he's still on the diet lecture kick and these are the books he gave us: Healthy at 100 by John Robbins Why Men Die First by Marianne Legato MD How Not to Die by Michael Greger MD my husband said that he told him -- I'm not going to read these -- MAYBE my wife will read them. They are interesting books. Too bad I'm reading so many right now. The last one, How Not to Die is HUGE. I had visited that doctors website once, he does videos recommending no meat consumption. I had to laugh because I think he gave us the books since he kinda still thought my husband was not going to change anything about his diet. I should not make fun since apparently this guy is serious ... serious enough to GIVE us these books.

Good morning Chris, you sound in a positive mood today! A gem and mineral show sounds fascinating, I would love to see that.
I decided not to make my bed because I will try to wash the bedclothes this afternoon. I signed up for ohblondie's lent/40 day challenge, but I haven't quite decided what to do yet, so I'm going to think about that today.
Just have time to get my dog walk bag ready and brush my teeth, off to mid-day work.

Good morning everypony!
JL left and hour ago... we both woke up at 4:00 am, and went ahead and stayed up. Now I am sleepy, but I have to leave for tdoc in 45 mins... ugh...
mostly because my toys are out, and I wanna play with them! And I am also taking this opportunity to do some deferred deep organizing of my toy box. Some of them, anyway.
JL and I had SO MUCH FUN! We just played and played. Saturday, I started her off with posing my monster high dolls around the house. Then we went wine tasting and thrifting. Sunday we did a photo shoot with some adorable props we found. It was really cold and windy out, so we kept that short. Then it was mermaid time! And we added mermaids to the bathroom. JL had a really cool idea for the ceiling... but that's down the road, I will play it close to my chest for the moment.

Chris.. peppermint and wild orange in my necklace diffuser Are these essential oils? Does each one carry specific properties? Hi ohblondie -- yes they are essential oils and I am just learning about them -- but that combination (2 drops of each, peppermint and wild orange) seem to have a really positive affect on my mood. At the depression support group we sampled and tested out the oils when a wellness advocate came to explain about them -- she had us each use one drop of each in our hand (she dropped them in) and then we rubbed our hands together and cupped them to inhale -- after that she had us put the remainder that was on our hands onto our neck and shoulders. I like it better in the necklace diffuser though and with 2 drops each -- I smell it all day!!!! I'm still learning. At night I have a plug in diffuser that I put lavender in -- it helps the cats and me!

A bit of progress ... it's very slow today some reason: * emptied top 2 drawers of dresser * took those things to the dining table * organized out several pair of underwear to take to Vermont and put them in the suitcase (I still have too many pairs because of those years when I was keeping clothes at Dads and here) * got all the handkerchiefs that I own and chose my favorite to put back into the dresser (top small drawer) * put bras in the top small drawer (they were all twisted into the sock drawer) * load of jeans & shirts hung and put away * towels and underwear in dryer Yikes, I am very hungry. And thirsty. It's hot and humid here today We've been watching 2 really big and pretty squirrels play in the back yard and thinking about the sounds in the wall and those droppings I found in the utility room. it could have been the squirrels I guess -- I'd have to look up what their droppings look like. Gross, so not before lunch.

Hi scholar, sounds like you had a blast with your friend! Magda, I hope you can finally shake that cold, even if you're not deathly sick from it, it's an energy drain. Chris, do you really find that you smell the oils all day long with the necklace? I put them on my clothing (yes, I know you're not supposed to, but I don't care) but I find that after a short time my nose gets used to the smell so I'm not even aware of them. It actually works better to put them on my lower sleeve, then it's not right under my nose and I don't become used to the smell. Ohblondie, the oils supposedly have different properties but I use mine only because I like the smell--smelling something pleasant makes me feel good, that's the only thing I can attribute to them. I'm sensitive to smells and am bothered by a lot of them so if an oil didn't smell good to me it would not have whatever good effect it was supposed to have. The ones I love are lavender, patchouli, pine/balsam/cedar and any citrus smell. I'm home from mid-day work, my senior client went out shopping while I was there, and while she was gone I put a plastic bag over my hand and put that mousy doll out in the alley (she agreed it could go out there). In the middle of my next walk she called me, asking if I put the doll out (she still thinks someone is coming into her house and taking her things). I said yes, she said "well I looked in the alley and someone took it already". I asked if she went all the way out to look because it was probably not visible from inside the gate. She said no, she was going to go out and look right now. If someone took that doll I would be quite shocked. Even if your eyesight wasn't good and you just picked it up without looking carefully at it, you would soon smell it. Like that car commercial where the people pick up the chair from the alley and then pretty soon stop the car and put it back outside. I have a little over an hour and then I have to go out for another walk. After that, I'm home for the day. I don't want to waste this time, so I will make myself get some things done. Start laundry-bedclothes Call a friend with a question Place another pet food order Diane
