Ally, sounds like that bathroom was a good place to start, if you can easily get a lot of stuff out from there!

Well, I'm very happy because all these things are part of my challenge goals! My back is hurting now so I think I'm done for today, thanks for starting this today, Ally! I hope you found lots of donations to get out of the house.

desposito. I have a box from work, the kind that printer paper is delivered in. It is overflowing. This morning when I went to take my shower, I found more. I did sort through most of them yesterday, and saved some that are designed for leaky bladder... I know. TMI. I have an acquaintance that runs an unofficial "pantry" from her front porch. It's just a word-of-mouth sort of thing with a facebook page. She accepts donations and then keeps some shelves and a cabinet stocked with food, some clothing, and some household items, like diapers. She can be picky about what she takes, but I asked and she said that I can bring them over. I plan to sort through them again and put the loose ones in bags, then I'll take them over. (I have 2 gallon size bags filled with tampons... Yep I'm a hoarder. To be honest, my hysterectomy was done as an emergency surgery, so I didn't know that I was going to stop needing them, and I bought some for my daughter thinking she'd take them to college, but she didn't and now she uses reusable, washable products.

Ally, that sounds like a good place for them! There was a woman who did that in my old neighborhood when Covid first started and people were losing their jobs, such a nice thing to do.
It always feels easier to get rid of things if you know they'll go to someone who wants/needs them.

I used to go to church with her. and she and her husband where talking about doing this 3.5 years ago. I remember thinking, Are you crazy? Inviting strangers to come onto your porch to take things? They launched it in January of 2020, just before the pandemic started. The timing was perfect. Unfortunately the following fall they had a major house fire, and had to gut the house and start over (old stone farm house) They shut down for a while, but reopened as soon as they could.
