hmm, anxiety for no particular reason. baby steps.
DONE: WLHP homework and check in took meds finished unpacking did some general PEEPing select outfit
I don't want to do anything. I must go grocery shopping cause I'm almost out of cat food. I'd like to clear and clean the fridge and counters first, but yuk. Maybe if I put my headphones on and find something entertaining to listen to. I'd like to shop before the after work rush. I'm in the mood for a giant purge--to take back the kitchen, so to speak. Start fresh. Clearing off the DR table would be useful in this endeavor. Of course I've got another project on it. Its one of those tetris things.

Wise decision to prioritize getting the cat food, scholar!
Still no rain, although there has been heavy cloud cover all day which is keeping the temperature cooler than they said it would be. I just went out to stand on the back porch again for a while, and the breeze is actually chilly!

Velcrocat was VERY excited about that!
I need a reward round that is not food or shopping. I'm a bit depressed, so nothing appeals.

I havenโ touched my list since I posted it hours ago. I did go for the walk with my friend. It was okay.
I need to get out.of.this.chair. I understand about what some of you post about depression, lack of motivation, etc.
Ugh

Are you guys listening to music as you work? If you like music, it can be amazingly uplifting.
I got a long call from my decluttering client, she is having issues she wanted to talk out. Then I took the dog out, and a neighbor stopped by to chat. This is not someone from the one family I know here, it's someone who lives next door to the family I know and the family does not like her...but she has been okay the few times I talked to her. I feel like I have to talk to anyone who will talk to me because I need to meet people around here.
The sun has come out, and of course, it's getting much warmer--luckily it's already late afternoon so pretty soon the sun will go down.
I forgot if I said that I ended up sending an email to the garbage company--I think I tried that once before for something and they never responded, we'll see what happens this time. I called them a couple more times and this time they said there was a "greater than 15 minute" wait, so I figured I'd try an email.
The animal hospital called to say the dog's HW test was negative, so I can go ahead and give her the first Heartguard pill. I'll probably wait until tomorrow since I have to give it to her at a mealtime. If I give it to her with the meal right before bedtime and it should happen to upset her stomach she'll have to go out in the middle of the night.

Rant!!!!......
Just after I loaded the washer this morning, the maintenance man came and started mowing. He usually does the clothesline area first, so I figured No problem. ..
He didn't. He did the front, sides, other building lawn... Then I had to watch The Waltons at 11... I looked out again... and again... and FINALLY at NOON I went downstairs to get my clothes and headed out to the clothesline. (Luckily nobody else was washing on a weekday morning. That's usually weekends or evenings.)
I was just hanging up the first item and suddenly he came by and mowed grass all over my clothes basket full of clothes!!! ๐ก Moron!!!!
I thought he was done mowing!! I took my whole basket back in and poured myself an iced tea. Finally got my wash hung out around 1:00. ๐ By now it's cloudy and looking like rain....
Later this afternoon... I decided to check out the flowerbed by the front corner. I'm the only one that ever pulls the weeds out of it. I took the weeds back to the trash dumpster. Just 2 handfuls.
I saw some cardboard boxes in there, so pulled them out and put them into the recycling dumpster. What do you think I saw??
The 7 big milkweed plants from the flowerbed at the other corner in front!!! ๐ก
I purposely left them when I cleaned that bed a couple weeks ago!! ๐ญ He pulled them all out!!! And then the jerk throws them into the RECYCLING dumpster! !! ๐ก๐ Idiot!!!
I can't stand it. I cringe when I see him coming. ๐

Oh no sue, were the milkweeds salvageable? I'm sure he has no idea what milkweed is, so I guess he wouldn't know to leave them there--but mowing grass into your laundry basket seems a bit...air-headed. Does he come on a particular day? Maybe that's the day you could plan to be gone doing your errands. Too bad you couldn't do the heavy work, you could take over his job for him and do much better.
I think I'm done with work for the day, I'm happy with the progress I'm making with the file project. I'm going to eat dinner now.

No. The milkweeds were not salvageable. They were sitting at the bottom of the dumpster for hours. 4 feet down. You couldn't reach them if you wanted to.
Besides, we have hundreds over in the park by the pond. But still!! ๐ก
And guess what else I just noticed?? ๐ต We had a nice sunflower growing in the crack by the front patio. (From birdseed this winter. ) We all liked it and watered it.โบ It was almost 4 feet tall. ๐ป
I just noticed IT'S GONE!!! ๐ Ripped off at the base!!! ๐ก๐ก๐ก
I'd like to rip his head off at the base!!!! ๐
No, he doesn't come on a certain day... He comes and mows whenever it needs mowing.

You know, maybe someone told him to make sure to get the "weeds". When I moved here, there were a few really interesting plants starting to grow along the fence--I didn't have much time or attention for plants back then, but I couldn't help noticing these and they were really pretty. Well, one day after the lawn cutters were here I noticed they were gone, I told my sister that they had pulled up some plants and she told me she had asked them to pull up anything that wasn't grass! So maybe he's following instructions. Most people consider all plants weeds unless they are artificially bred larger than natural flowers growing in a regimented fashion within a designated area...
Hopefully the guy won't show up again for a while so you don't have to see him again soon.
I'm going to close things up now and get ready for bed--good night everyone, see you in the morning!

My mom is plugging through clothes and drawers. the donate pile is growing.
Since I am headed home in a week - I ran to a local greenhouse and got some tomato plants. Well, that was the original intent. I got 16 tomato plants, 4 pepper plants, and four each of zuchinni, yellow squash and cucumber. I went home tonight and planted them. I also planted three flower pots; two with red geraniums and white and blue petunias and one with zinnias. I came back with numerous mosquito bites!
I forgot my hair dryer - I will grab that tomorrow - i do need to take a shower as I am so dirty from planting.
Planning a girls weekend with the college girlfriends......I really need a break....
and I need to book a moving company.....

ohblondie these weren't even blooming yet. The reason not to destroy milkweeds is the monarch butterfly. Their baby caterpillars need them to eat. ๐ช I'm glad your mom is eagerly getting rid of extra stuff! ๐ On the day of my mom's move, she suddenly said she didn't want to go. ๐ฎ But we helped her settle in. And she somehow got the best room in the place. A corner room with an east window and a south window. ๐ท๐๐ธ๐บ Good job getting all those plants planted in one go! ๐ It would have taken me 2 days!

2:45 am. Can't sleep. Been tossing and turning for hours.
Feel like I've been beat up, raped, and left for dead. ๐
Those plants were my babies ๐ญ Someone just violently ended their lives. For no reason. They were weren't hurting anyone! They were actually adding pleasure to several people's lives. ๐ฅ
I will never again give him a cold can of soda when he's sweating in the hot sun. ๐ก
Not only killed 8 living beings, but will get credit for clearing out those milkweeds and an a innocent sunflower. ๐ป
