Happy Holidays to all who celebrate! bree sorry to hear you were sick. I'm glad you're better & that DD took care of you. Saturday, Dec. 24th Slept late. Needed that... Showered2shoes DS worse today, temperature 101 degrees, diarrhea & vomiting, now, too. He's been sick for a while now. We're all pretty worried about him. The antibiotic that was prescribed to him, yesterday, for his painful ear infection, etc. ... seems to be affecting his stomach or it's another virus. And, he still has whatever he had last Tuesday when he went to the ER. Wife thought she ate something bad for her, but now... it could be that whatever bug her parents and sister's family-- may have been what it was, instead. Could be passing things back & forth between families and that these bugs are affecting DS more than his wife. Lil Grandson & Dil were with her parents... They're not certain.. We are just hoping that he does not need to go to the hospital, again! We were going to go to their house this afternoon to celebrate Hanukkah, since we had to postpone last Sunday due to Grandson getting over being sick. But, of course, today and tomorrow are cancelled. I wrapped presents to be dropped off, later. DH & I went to grocery store for some Gatorade, eggs, etc. for DS & his family. Took the presents, Gatorade & a few other groceries to their home. (hour drive). Didn't see DS as he is staying in his bedroom or upstairs to prevent LilGrandson and us from possibly catching it. According to DIL, Lilgrandson keeps calling for DaDa and walks over to his door. DH & I did go inside their home & I got to hold baby for a couple minutes, but it was his bedtime and he was sleepy, so he didn't want to be held long. But, we did play a little.... running around and sitting on the floor. Just a few minutes because altho he was happy and smiley... we could tell how sleepy he was. Wish I could share pictures of him with y'all. He would make you smile, too! We were only there about 10-15 minutes. I hope that we don't catch sickness. I had not been around my DLilGrandson in over a month! They've been sick. We've done Facetime, but not in person... and babies grow & change so fast! Trimmed fingernails & toenails Emptied kitchen trash & replaced bag CD

Good morning! Oh cando, I hope you're not getting sick again too, so many people are not feeling well now.
Okay, so here's how last night's sleep went. Fell asleep as soon as I turned the lights out. At 11:30 the dog woke me up having to go out, where she peed and pooped, even though she did both at her evening yard visit. Couldn't fall back asleep so I read for half an hour, turned the lights out and was falling back to sleep when there were sirens and lights in front of the house. I got up and saw a fire engine stopped in front of the next door neighbor, a vehicle in front of that (couldn't tell what it was but probably an ambulance) and another vehicle with lights parked down on the other side of the street. So of course I had to get dressed and go onto enclosed porch to make sure there wasn't an actual fire. After about 10 minutes they got back into their vehicles from a house a couple of doors away and all drove off. By this time I was good and awake and didn't fall back until 2. So...I did hit the snooze button a few times at 6am but didn't actually fall back to sleep while doing so, I just didn't want to get out of the warm bed. I got up at 6:30 and the dog didn't want to go out until 7:30 since she was out so late. Hopefully when this cold spell is past and I'm not as nervous about the house I will finally get back to a better pattern.
The sun is out, that's a good sign--it's 2 degrees, feels like 16 below, but the predicted high is 14.

Merry Christmas!!🎄 It came so fast this year! I still have a lot to do but it will be peaceful. I have to wrap all the gifts! Also prepare dishes to pass. I would love to lay in bed for another hour We did not go to church yesterday as I don’t think we should be in crowds given our being sick so recently. I was looking forward to going w DD. Last night we drove around and looked at Christmas lights then had snacks. My sister said she was dropping by with a gift for DD so it sparked some necessary last minute decorating. I cleaned off dining room table, put on Christmas tablecloth and placemats, hung up the Christmas cards, put out some tabletop decorations, put a strand of lights on the mantle, hung the stockings with care, and lit a pine scent candle. It was perfect! I bought a new pre-lit tree last year and it is so pretty. I have decided I will never put lights on a tree again! I am glad sis stopped by as I was so sluggish on decorating this year. And it motivated me. Yesterday we lost power for several hours! Was so grateful it came back on. Also mailed a few late Christmas cards and got a few groceries - made a dash to a country store gift shop to get a special puzzle book for the relative in rehab unit. cando I hope your son gets better!!! Glad you were able to see the baby. I hope you feel better too. Your boss sounds like Scrooge. Ugh. Sounds like you might be thinking of leaving? I wish everyone a peaceful and joyous day!

It is warm here today-18 degrees F. Is that a hyphen or dash after the word "today"? Or is that a minus sign before the number 18? Did you mean "warm here today. . . -18 degrees F" (minus eighteen). Or did you mean "warm here today- . . . . 18 degrees F". Either way, that's very cold!

Hello Lion! I'm pretty sure it's 18 degrees by bree, because if it was 18 below she wouldn't say it was warm even facetiously! She would be too cold to be clever!
TO DO:
10 minutes on plants 10 minutes on military letters Restock water in fridge Delete 10 hard emails

Merry Christmas! 🎄
The kitties and I are enjoying a quiet Christmas. I need to call Mom after her lunch.
It has been a very slow morning so it is time to see what I can get done while everything is quiet.
Diane sorry to hear about the crazy night. Hopefully neighbors are well.

Good morning TML!
Hopefully neighbors are well
I couldn't tell which house they were coming out of, but I don't know anyone on the block on that side so wouldn't know their situations. They do send a fire truck with ambulances, I assume so they have additional personnel there to help in general if needed, but I looked outside fairly quickly and they didn't seem to be taking anyone away so maybe it was some kind of false alarm--it was too fast for anything else. After I was back in bed, trying to fall back asleep, I did think about the fact that there were three vehicles and probably at least 6 paramedics/fire fighters that were out in zero degree temperatures in the first hours of Christmas Day, ready to help people that needed them. I was annoyed about having trouble sleeping, but I was in a nice warm bed in a nice, relatively warm house, so that kind of put things in perspective for me.
Next:
Take dog out and feed her 10 minutes on first floor PEEPing 10 minutes on first floor plants
Start load of laundry

My neighbors down the street came over with Christmas gifts--they are so sweet--they brought me a plant and some cookies and a package of treats for the dog. They did the same last year, even though they know I don't buy gifts for them, I just sent them a card.
I had lunch and fed the outside birds again. Today is a phone call day so I will take the dog out to the yard since she probably won't be able to wait until my call is over.

I am working on fridge, freezers, and cabinets. I am so tired of kitchen being an an organized disaster. I am being ruthless and getting rid of anything out of date that is not something that out of date means nothing (like salt… who puts freshness dates on salt). I cleaned out the freezer in the garage and I am working on the fridge right now. All the stuff in the garage freezer is good til June 2023. I think I am going to start doing a 6 month clean out (June-December) so that I know how old things are even if they do not have a date on them (ie they are less than 6 months). I am also putting things in order that i can eat. I am in a bad cycle where I am not cooking in which would be healthier but I am feeling too rotten to get stuff done. I just need to focus on areas of biggest return right now and that is kitchen, clothes, paper. Plus side organizing for me and kitties.
I asked for clear storage boxes and labels with sharpie for Christmas so I am going to start doing rough sorting into the boxes. The labels I got are the ones that peel off without making a mess. So I should be able to rough sort and then keep refining sorting as I go. Even if I need to order more boxes. I am so sick of stuff being moved around too which is why i need to get it labeled and into boxes. All of the cats stuff is now missing. I had two sets because one set earlier went missing. I have no idea where it is. Stuff just gets moved around so that the house is always like a blender. I know I am not the best for putting stuff up but i know where stuff is unless someone else is moving it around for me. I had a box by the chair the cats use that holds all of their stuff but when the new blinds went up all those boxes evidently got moved and went somewhere in house. I was going to brush cats and nothing. So hopefully the box will turn up as I clean.
Edited I know it sounds crazy that my wish list for this Christmas was organizing stuff. I just did not need more stuff to organize. I need to be decluttering not collecting more stuff. I need stuff to help me get organized. It seems like it will take me forever though. The other thing i am doing which is why kitchen is a top priority is I am seriously going gluten free. I ache and and have inflammation with gluten. In fact when i had covid and they put me on prednisone two rounds - 80% of my pain cleared up. That means that 80% of my pain is related to inflammation. It may not clear it all up but going gluten free is making a difference in how i feel but eating out is really hard gluten free if you have to do it 100%. Basically I live on sushi and thai with rice noodles but those places by me shut down at times during the week and then next thing you know I am ordering from the pizza place or the Chinese place - gluten items. If I get my eating out to about 30% it is doable - Japanese, Asian Rice items, gluten free Greek, and my Dairy free/gluten free McDonalds special breakfast.
