I was out most of the day with the other half's family, but wanted to at least get my 3 things for the day done.

Bag of trash filled
Bag of recycling filled
Achieved dining table zero

I'm glad to see people are still getting things done even though it is a holiday! I guess I got a few things done, I spent a long time tallying my books for the year and setting up my notebook to keep track of next year's reading. So many books, so little time...

Emptied kitchen trash & replaced bag
Took bp meds. Haven't had them in several days -- maybe a week.
DS is back in the ER tonight. My DH is with him.

Unloaded dishwasher
DS was discharged from the ER about an hour ago. DH will be here, in about 30-45 minutes.
DS threw up in the parking lot after being discharged. No covid, no flu, treating him for a gastro bug/bacteria or something. He's had ear infection, deep coughing but lungs were clear, heart rate is up, congested, nausea , diarrhea, vomiting, fever for about 2 weeks, now. This is his 2nd trip to the ER. He is just miserable and has been for a while, now. They did all kinds of tests & gave him fluids, IV antibiotics, prescribed more oral antibiotics, med for vomiting.

Good morning!
Cando, your poor son, that is a long time to be so sick. Hopefully these latest fluids and meds help him get better. And it sounds like you were up most of the night!
I slept much better last night, just one interruption where the dog woke up and whined, but she just went to get a drink of water and came back to bed--that's unusual, but at least she didn't need to go out! This morning when we went out it felt so different--it's 17 degrees with no wind, so much more comfortable than 8 below and windy!
Hopefully today I will catch up on some things.

cando I hope your son gets to feeling better soon! Diane I am hoping to make a dent in stuff today too! As usual during holiday I have gotten up later than planned. My first up is to get laundry started and then to get breakfast. Hopefully soon I will have things arranged so I can do a quick proper breakfast at home. This morning will be a microwave catch and catch can breakfast.

It is warm here today-18 degrees F. Is that a hyphen or dash after the word "today"? Or is that a minus sign before the number 18? Did you mean "warm here today. . . -18 degrees F" (minus eighteen). Or did you mean "warm here today- . . . . 18 degrees F". Either way, that's very cold! Hello Lion! I'm pretty sure it's 18 degrees by bree, because if it was 18 below she wouldn't say it was warm even facetiously! She would be too cold to be clever!  , very good point!

Hello reve! It's good when company makes us get our houses looking good.
It's 20 degrees here!
This house is going to drive me crazy--I was on the second floor and heard a huge noise that sounded just like something very heavy fell on the roof. I thought it was weird because there was barely 3 inches of snow, not enough to cause a huge slide. But I went outside to look, and there is no pile of snow on the ground, and no sign of what that noise was. I looked all around the house thinking maybe the location of the sound was deceptive but I don't see anything wrong.
One more list before lunch.

Oh, and I discovered that the plant I received is a Kalanchoe blossfeldiana, a type of kalanchoe that blooms if the conditions are right. Very pretty, but I don't think I'll be able to do what you're supposed to do to keep them blooming, which involves putting them in the dark at certain times of the year.
