I am now doing mail and sorting it into shred, bills, store, need something done on it, and trash. I am taking break and then i will get back to it. Lunch was Amy’s vegan Gluten free mac and cheeze. I am day 5 gluten free and it is difficult. I am still working on kitchen.
1. More mail 2. Shred 3. Clear off stove 4. Load dishwasher and run a load 5. Get kitchen counter ready for dishes washing line. (Ie clear off counter so i can wash dishes - soak, get them ready for next into dishwasher). 6. I would like to cook something tonight but cooking in disaster area while trying to clean it is hard. Tomorrow I will do a slow cooker sitting on stove so that it is cook and then toss the ceramic into fridge with just a knife, cutting board, and spoon for clean up. Tonight i need to figure out what i can order for delivery or drive thru that is not gluten. Something rice noodles maybe. 7. Boxes and get it broken down and into recycle
Dinner ended up being a tuna and salmon roll. Seaweed, fish, and a bit of rice. Still gluten free.

TML I remember that first week--so hard! I just got off the phone with my therapist (t-doc) and this week I want to set myself up for going back on plan in January.
I really appreciate y'all dementia stories as DM is experiencing memory loss and is definitely at risk. DF and I were already practicing how to offer memory prompts to my brother. I offered to write down some of my health issues for DM, and she wants to try that. maybe even laminate cheat sheets--as I have trouble articulating when I get frustrated.
I slept all morning--grateful I can! but I need to go get some cat food and litter, so time to finish getting dressed. I would like to go food shopping. first I need to drive the RV.
NEXT UP: dress pack drive pick up SUV make a list
go shopping

Almost time to get ready for bed. I did absolutely nothing today, other than my shopping trip--until my phone call I watched news and a movie, I played computer games, and I did some reading. Then after my phone call I did a little work looking at my bills and checkbook, sort of budgeting, but not formally. And of course, I took the dog out multiple times and took the cans to the street for the garbage pickup which is a day late this week due to the holiday.
I will keep reminding myself that when I do this walk I won't do anything the rest of the day--I did have extra aches and pains this time, but I also just couldn't mentally make myself do anything, including things I could have done sitting down. But I guess it's okay, a grocery trip is a chore and if it knocks me out for the day I will have to accept that.
Unless it's pouring in the morning on Friday I will go to the library and the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions, but tomorrow I will be home all day and will try to catch up. I think I'm going to use the dice tomorrow, I haven't done that in a while and doing something different might help.
Good night everyone, see you in the morning.
Diane

Not working is awesome, bree
I just realized I have to get up very early and drive in the rain through traffic for a long time to go to a medical appt. I had better figure out:
where I am going how long it will take me to get there where I should park what to wear
and then go to bed!

bree so glad you found your keys!! dtesposito Your shopping trip sounded like a huge accomplishment, yesterday. Physically exhausting. mylittlescholar sounds like you have a good plan. Hoping medical appt goes really well. I forgot that I had awoken pretty early yesterday with a bad headache & other issues. At least I made it thru my workday, yesterday. Fully awake the whole time. Altho I did get 2 big projects, done, I did have some difficulty focusing. Wish that I had gotten a little more done. Most the office building is empty. When I got home, I crashed on the sofa. DH made Matza Ball Soup. Yay, DH. I emptied kitchen trash & replaced bag Still need to do that important time critical paperwork. Please make me get it done tomorrow night, someone!! DMil will have surgery this Friday. She’ll get a pacemaker that is wireless (no leads). And will have ablation done. Her words, “I have to do something! I can’t stay like this. “ This will hopefully stop the tachycardia. I’m guessing it will help the enlarged heart & congestive heart failure. (I try to not ask questions since other family members are with her & speaking with the drs & know all the particulars. ) She will not have cardioversion done for the AFIB. The choice for the surgery was to have it this Friday if the whole medical team approves it or next Thursday due to dr being booked up until then. So, entire medical team approved it. They took her off IV antibiotics. She is no longer on bipap. She is on 5-6 Liters of oxygen. But breathing nicely & no longer wheezing, etc. Hoping that I can push thru tomorrow & get that paperwork done tomorrow night! Cd

Happy Dice Day to Diane!
Cando, I can relate to the critical paperwork. I have FIVE critical paperwork tasks that I have been procrastinating for reasons I can’t even identify much less explain.

Playing Ring Around the House with a self care task at the beginning of each round and a paperwork task at the end of each round. Going to include garage and front porch in the rounds. Only one load of laundry to do today. Need to pack for a weekend trip we are taking. Need to do some long procrastinated tasks today, too. Staying with my FIL midday today so my MIL can go to her follow up appointment and go to the DMV. (On my list, if it says “deal with” it means to put that item where it belongs or toss it.
TO DO (Round 1):
Take Meds PUPA master bath Deal with any ten items on floor of master bedroom closet Make the bed PUPA half bath Put away clothes that were hanging to dry in laundry room (from yesterday) Deal with any five items in garage Clean microwave Wrap SIL’s birthday present (this will get those items off my dining room table!) PUPA foyer PUPA front porch Deal with any ten items in sitting room Put away last bag of Christmas stuff from living room floor Dust the hallway baseboards and pictures PUPA half bath Deal with any ten items in guest room Write out check for HOA fees, find envelope, address envelope, put stamp on it, put in purse to mail it out later today

Well my DD headed home today. She left bright and early. Hopefully it is nice and warm when she gets home. She drove north in driving rain and sometimes snow. Today should be better driving weather. We had a lovely time together - we all went out to dinner last night. (I was not feeling well so I was the party pooper). She really pulls our family together.
OK - now I have to buckle down on things. First up would be getting my car cleaned out - the bags in the back seat are almost piled to the ceiling. And most of them are almost empty - I could easily condense the bags and fold the empty ones.
Now I have a plan. time to get to paid work so that I can head out over lunch and fold a bag or two.

Good morning! I slept well last night and most of my aches are gone so, high hopes for today. Our temperature did not go down at all last night, it was weird, when I took the dog out last night 3/4 of the yard still had snow on it, this morning only 1/4--so it was warm enough overnight for snow to melt! Today's predicted high--55!
