Okay, I'm going to roll dice to tell me how many things to handle/put away in the porch room, and then roll again for the other rooms upstairs since they aren't as messy. Hopefully I will continue this until the upstairs is completely decluttered.
TO DO:
Wash some dishes 4 things in porch room 3 things elsewhere Delete 10 hard emails

I hit a wall. Need to push through. The only thing I have done for the last hour + is eat breakfast and delete 20 emails. My MIL called her appointment is cancelled, so I won’t have to go over until this evening to help her with the DMV thing. Yay.

Well I guess it has been pesky phone calls for me this morning!
I also printed out a document my mom needs to sign.
During my conference call I cleaned out my wallet and found lots of stamps and $6
I also updated the list of money my mom owes me - she has me continually running errands but I no longer have a credit card of hers to use
OK - time for a pee break then back to work

Still working on round 2 …. Picking up little bits here and there as I go, answered two phone calls, so I am okay with it l.. just going to keep plodding along. However, going to set my timer for twenty minute break after posting this list:
Done :
Take Meds
PUPA master bath
Deal with any ten items on floor of master bedroom closet
Make the bed
PUPA half bath
Put away clothes that were hanging to dry in laundry room (from yesterday)
Deal with any five items in garage
Clean microwave
Wrap SIL’s birthday present (this will get those items off my dining room table!) - don’t have a bag big enough. Will look for one at the thrift tomorrow. For now,mi moved the present to the corner of the room - and this at least got it off the table.
Went through a bag of purchases that were lying on ding room table and dealt with them.
Threw away a bunch of bits of trash from dining room floor and put away a bunch of bits and bobs from the table
PUPA foyer

Deal with any ten items in sitting room
Put away last bag of Christmas stuff from living room floor - this took longer than I thought it would
Dust the hallway baseboards and pictures
PUPA half bath
Deal with any ten items in guest room
Write out check for HOA fees, find envelope, address envelope, put stamp on it, put in purse to mail it out later today

Hi Everyone!
So far today -
I got the big trash can out for the garbage truck to pick up.
I picked up groceries
I had a discussion with the cats where they told me all their troubles and I petted them and provided moral support (yes Tiger that nice ray of sunshine will be back just maybe in a slightly different spot and tomorrow).
Next Up -
1. Get the shout and start a load of laundry
2. Clean off kitchen table
3. Get cat food container ready for next batch
4. Shred a few things
5. Start Kitchen for PEEP

cando Still need to do that important time critical paperwork. Please make me get it done tomorrow night, someone!! We are back to 73 at the moment. This is why I can enjoy cold weather when it comes. It doesn't stay! to do am meds

wow TwinkleToes you sure got a lot done today so far!! So I am dreading this job application! I just finished reading a background document, now I just gotta start and write the cover letter. I have mixed emotions -- the good is that I hope this job pays a bit more than mine and that would help with my debt. there are rumors circulating about the salaries at this company. 2-3 peeps from my company have gone there and rumor is that they are well paid but who knows for sure. Con -- I think I'd have to give up hybrid work. and some retirement bennies I'd get at current company that i am eligible for in a few years would be gone. Pro - no more chaos! I have some fears/hopes - Chaos is getting a new boss and she might end up getting let go. But Chaos would def bring down anyone else to save her skin, I have seen her do it. If she is gone -- I could be vulnerable too or I could be very happy. Due to some timing issues I do have a fear I could lose my job in about two years (based on retirements and reorgs). My planned (God willing) job window is four years tops. I then would like to retire. I have to think about age discrimination too I guess, I think (?) I look younger than I do -- I historically have but that is catching up with me for sure! Anyway I am overthinking. If I don't apply I'll never know and an app does not even mean an interview! this job has a national search! So I gotta just get the letter done and resume updated and press send. I was just thinking an ex colleague of mine might apply for and get this job. person used to work at this company, then worked w/me, took new job with big promo but lousy commute. this person has job at this level now (would be step up for me) so person would stand a good chance to rejoin former employer. otherwise I have not done much. put clean dishes away. ate breakfast. did poop patrol in the back now that things are thawing (ugh!). Next write a cover letter draft no matter what. I Had lunch plan today but my friend is sick so I have nice free time to write that letter!!! ohblondie did you decide to go for that political appointment? |

Bree, good luck with your job application. In my preferred scenario, chaos gets booted out by someone who finally sees how bad she is and you get promoted!

did poop patrol in the back now that things are thawing (ugh!).
My yard is now completely thawed too--since we only had 3 inches of snow nothing had a chance to sink down out of sight so I got most of it as it was produced!  I still found a couple of piles this morning though, I think they were from the day that it was so cold that I couldn't dig down even into shallow snow, I thought my hand would freeze.

bree no - I pulled out. it was a HUGE (50%) pay cut and I was no guaranteed I could get a leave of absence from my current job. the money thing was huge. I would have had a 1 mile commute to work (round trip) but I just couldn't do it. I just grabbed my calendar for the new year. Now to copy over all of the info from 2022 into 2023.

ohblondie a 50 percent pay cut! yikes, that would be hard. I am looking at this job because I want more money in my current situation. Diane thanks, I like your scenario So I set the timer for one hour -- w/one playtime interuption for puppy - and I have a draft cover letter! Needs work but way better than a blank piece of paper. I also realized I have to update my linked in page. as I am sure that will be part of the review. Also need to update resume. But I am slightly less deer in headlights. Still nervous. would like someone to come hug me and say it will be ok! as a single parent that is not really part of it. I have to take puppy for a walk soon. it is freakishly warm here!
