Thank you for the good wishes everypony! They did see some red blood cells which is not a good sign, but I am not worrying, fortunately. Honestly my biggest fear is surgery and then having that corn-chip-in-the-throat feeling for months from scar tissue. I think I won't do any more reading until I know I need to!
The good news this morning is I am back down a couple of Christmas pounds.
I did not grow up with the cleaning for the new year tradition, but I actually like the idea. So I plan to focus on housework today. I am feeling pretty good physically, and got slightly better sleep last night.

Today is a phone call day so I will be on the phone for the rest of the afternoon. I have to keep reminding myself it's Saturday, the days are blending into one again.

emptied front bathroom trash & replaced bags Took 1 bag of trash to outside can 2 left over sauces from fridge into trash Printed out registration renewal for my car -- late getting the renewal done, so don't have the new sticker yet. Shopped for soft warm pants outfits for DMom - online.
Ended up placing order for 3 outfits-- I'd already ordered one of these before so since they still carry them (online) I ordered- One is exactly the same color as I bought before a couple months ago. It's very soft velour & I know she's comfortable in it. Very inexpensive. The top is pretty short, but Mom is pretty short & short-waisted. Either in bed or in wheelchair all the time. So, it works for her. Originally I only bought the outfit for the pants & figured if the shirt worked -- a bonus. Pants are long for my Mom but it doesn't affect her at all because she is in the wheelchair/bed. The caregivers really like it as it is easy to put on & off of her. Roomy enough in the waist, etc. & the arms are wider. When their too skinny, it's hard for them to maneuver my Mom so that they don't hurt her. They try to be very gentle, but she is very frail, petite woman. Very inexpensive. I bought the XL for her, anyway. She weighs about 125-130 lbs. It doesn't matter what the laundry directions are because it's all wash & dry at facilities and group homes... She looks pretty in it & it's so soft (think that I already said it). They're on sale now for $9.99 I had already bought the Teal color (which really isn't teal, but a greyish blue) and just ordered another one in that color & also in black & camel. I'm afraid the Red might stain other items she has, so didn't buy in red. Here's the link in case anyone else is interested -- well, I'm not sure if the link was showing my account information, so just put this in the search window for Walmart & it should come up. cando thank you for the search term. I will look for Mom she was complaining about the pants I bought her. Not stylish and blah blah. Which would have been fine except that she told me to buy her the type of pants i was wearing. So then she proceeded to comment on my taste. I said are they comfortable and she admitted that they were. I told her what I wear at home is different from work and she would not like my work clothes either when i am on site. cando the good thing at least in my state is that as soon as the online renewal is done it counts and you can show that print out if needed. (Not that I am late or anything sometimes) I keep plugging away at house. Next stop is dish washing and cat area. I also bought me a few things online but they are for using in my air fryer so i dont have to clean it much. Maybe then I will use it more. Also I got a hanger for closet to hang up my hair dryer, curling iron, with another spot for another appliance. I am not good at always digging them out from under sink. Happy New Year’s Eve Everyone!

that's a great tip, cando! but it sure looked silly on those tall models.
well that nap lasted 3.5 hours! I am feeling chagrined about my big plans. But I think I will head over to DPs now as it is not raining very hard. I did get to talk to DSIL for a minute.
Happy New Year!

ohblondie Hope your son is well, soon. About those velour pants... I'm not sure how warm they really are as far as very cold weather goes... And, yeah, I thought they looked a little silly on those models, too... mylittlescholar ; however, I thought they'd be right for my Mom in length... but they were too long. Of course I did buy an Extra Large. TML I wouldn't call those velour sweatpants stylish, really. But they are soft! And, re: registration -- Yes, that's what I meant. I printed the receipt for the renewal. We were past due & had to pass inspection before I could renew the registration. So, there'd been extra anxiety while driving since it was expired for 30 days. Today, especially on the expressway when the police were coming up behind me with flashing lights... thankfully, they pulled over someone else. Tadas: Went thru big stack of papers in the dining room. 1 tossed in trash 52 put in recycle bag -- mostly old mail, flyers, brochures, coupons, etc. After that met Dh at dealership. He turned in rental vehicle and I picked him up afterwards. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Update: From Ottoman in den: 10 papers into recycle bag 2 papers into "to be shred" bag 1 bag into trash 14 small sterile wound pads (that were no longer sterile) into trash ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Went thru today's mail: 1 into "to be shred" bag 3 into recycle bag (kept 2 pieces) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Still going thru papers in huge stack thats in my dining room on one of my dining room table chairs: 160 papers into recycle bag (these were assorted papers/mail from 2018-2022). 27 into trash 2 plastic wrappings into trash Happy New Year, everyone! Good morning! I was sleeping before midnight and I had a pretty good night's sleep too, although there were some firecrackers and some rain overnight. The dog didn't react to either.
The busy holidays are over, it's a new year (and even a new week) so time for some planning.
We have three more days of warmer weather before it goes down into the 30s for the foreseeable future, so I need to figure out if there's anything else I want to do while it's still mild outside.

Good morning, dtesposito and TML Happy New Year! Cute bunnies! I woke up about 5:30am feeling sick, sweaty, itchy... nasal congestion, 1 ear not hearing well out of, headache, hot. Turned the heat off & put just the fan on. In & out of sleep for a while after that. Finally moved to the den about 6:30am. Feeling much better, now. Went thru a small sack of mail from 2018 that was in the big stack of papers on one of my dining room chairs: (this was a sack of mail that my neighbor had collected for us while we were out of town--it's not that we don't go thru our mail -- it's just that we don't go thru all of it and we may pull out only the important things & put back the things we open or leave out the things that we don't have time to open because we kinda know what they are... and mean to either toss, shred or recycle and/or file at a later date. It's a bad habit that we have needed to overcome for years! We need to learn to put things where they go right away... must have a place for things, must decide whether we need to keep the items, and must go thru them if we set them aside to go thru later. We both hate having a messed up home. There's been times that we could at least have company come over.... but, sadly, it hasn't been that way for several years. I have had a couple brothers stay here during the last couple years. The last guest that stayed with us that we really had to clean up for, though, was around the end of 2019. Sadness. Want to be able to have guests by this February if possible! Doesn't have to be perfect, can be messy... but has to be at the very least good enough to open the door and have someone come in & sit down, use the restroom, go in the kitchen & sit at the dining room table.) 23 papers into recycle bag 10 papers into trash 1 magnet into trash 8 papers into "to be shred" bag 1 paper sack to be recycled The recycling will be put outside & picked up this Tuesday morning. After having cold temperatures in the single digits and Wind Chill below freezing a little over a week ago ... today's high is supposed to be 77 degrees! CD

Good morning TML and cando!
TML, those bunnies are adorable--I was just talking to my shopping friend about the fact that I'm sad that I'll probably never adopt another dog or cat, and I said that maybe I could at least adopt an elderly guinea pig or bunny, they wouldn't live as long. But really, any animal I adopted might need to see a vet and the fact that I don't drive makes it difficult.
TO DO:
10 minutes PEEPing 10 minutes on plants Restock water in fridge Delete 10 hard emails
