Cando, new flooring, that's so exciting! I know it's anxiety provoking, but new flooring makes it looks like a different house!

Hello!
Lots of work going on!
I had a nice pleasant Sunday
Went to early church service
Met some friends for brunch at a nice bakery/restaurant/coffee house type place
Came home just in time for football game
After game too puppy for a walk. It was beautiful night; sky was many shades of gray and blue with purple and gold. It was quiet so I could focus on the sound of snow crunching under my feet
Had dinner - delicacies from the bakery
Did the dishes
Cleaned litter
Watched some videos
Dd was off w friend most of day.
Tomorrow I have to stop this genteel life of relaxing!!

Yes, Diane, they were 11 years old when I adopted them. I had lost my beautiful Kippie, a 14 year old Snowshoe Siamese, in June . Managed to make it through 3 months--catless--and then saw these darling long haired brothers online, up for adoption. I applied and the foster Mom drove them to me in another state yet ! I sure do love them. They are both big. Latte is about 18 pounds, and Mocha is the larger one. Both have blue eyes and the Siamese "points." Latte has crossed eyes which are adorable. I love hearing about everyone's cats and dogs too. I am also a dog lover, but cats more.

Up at 3 am unable to sleep. Went to sleep probably close to 1 am, so this is going to be fun day. : (

Got up, turned on some lights and got to work
Moved two sizeable boxes to basement
packed up rest or ornaments
took stockings down from mantle
made Aldi noodle soup
opened one big box (Home Depot replacement globes for Metarie mini ceiling fans in long room; btw cute name, but HD spelled it incorrectly; should be Metairie -- perhaps it's some copyright held by the inner ring suburb New Orleans that holds the amazing Metairie Cemetery.)
Speaking of NOLA...
Put on my favorite go-to energizing music from some guy who lived there from 1995-2005)*
TO DO:
Put on shoes
Move side table from landing to upstairs noncarpeted areas (Apologies, I've gone on way too long about the dreaded carpeting cleaning day, arriving at 11 am; ooh, found a count down timer. This may just change my life.
T- minus 6 h 18 min 44 s and counting.
Already 21 s...09...

- Emptied dishwasher (hereafter, dw)
- Refilled dw
- Cleared out all the books from a little two shelf bookshelf
- Moved most of said books to other bookshelf
- Moved numerous three ring binders to basement
- Moved two more boxes and two small bags to basement
T-minus 5 h 40 min 32 seconds and counting...
TO DO:
- Take out one big garbage bag and pizza box
- Take down rest of small ornament boxes to basement
- Take down Christmas stocking to basement

Hi cando you have done a lot! ClimbingPyramids you were up so early and worked away. Hope you get some rest I woke up to the wonderful realization that I am off work today! Such a happy happy feeling First thing was feed girlcat who was chirping and complaining. Boycat sleeps in Let puppy out and in Washed pet food bowls and gave all fresh food and water Put clean dishes away Washed stragglers Wiped down front of kitchen cabinet Wiped down two small tables Wiped up floor around my messy kitties food area. Sent sn email to a relative who can be very difficult for me to deal with. I should have sent it last week but I delayed because she can be so trying. And I fear her answer will annoy me so I wanted to delay the annoyance! Played wordle Made coffee Made some tentative plans for my day- puppy walk around 2-3. Warmest time day and still light out. Need to make a meatloaf - today is use it or freeze it date. I don’t like cooking eating meat but I think DD will like this. I really want to reclaim dining room table. On the cusp of it. But first need to do some work there. Finances. Update checking, pay any bills, pay DD tuition, etc But next another cup of coffee and a video The animal kingdom and DD sleep! |

Thank you, silly Canuck! After posting that last list I worked even more on my bedroom and got more of the clothes folded and put away. cando, you will never know how much it means to me that you took the time to read my list and make comments on the particulars. I feel “invisible” in most arenas of life. When someone really “sees” me like you, Diane, scholar,Bree, reve, and so many others often do here, it really lifts my spirits. More than words can say. Thank you. I read through your lists. You are ROLLING. Wow! I have a question bout the flooring, I am sorry if I missed this somewhere, but you mentioned insurance paying for it …did you have a water leak? |

Have the day off work, so I slept in a little. Started my actual day at 9:05 a.m..
Done
Folded and put away 25 more pieces of laundry from bedroom floor. I am so close to having that floor to zero. So close! I am sorting as I go. Have some pieces to give my sister and some going into donation. Turned one old tank top into cleaning rags
Emptied out and put away a travel bag
Load of laundry in washer … should only have one load to do today
