bree I need to do the same with clothing. I need to be ruthless. For example - I am not really wearing the Lularoe leggings as much. they are too wildly patterned. But I wear the solid black ones (from big box store) often. even today with my football jersey (we are having a tailgate party at work). I am trying to look at things with my eyes wide open. I have one dress I used to love but then I saw myself in a picture wearing that dress. It needs to go. OK - FOCUS!! I need to focus on work and not think about home.

TML, the story about your mother made me totally forget the first part of your post:
kitties are napping together and sleeping all cuddled up again. We seem to be through the disaster of the cat soap opera.
I'm so, so happy to hear this!

I took the dog for a walk to the mailbox. Today is supposed to be the coldest day of the week, but honestly, none of the days were warm--every day the weather site would say the temperature was 40 degrees but feels like temp was 32, or something similar. The sun is out and it feels okay out there. We have another 5 days of 40s coming up, I wonder if it will actually feel like 40.
I'm going to make lunch now.

Diane, I have noticed something in your posts that may be helpful to me !! You often say "10 minutes doing PUPA " or "10 minutes doing a shelf" or things similar to these, i.e. "10 minutes". doing something. I guess this way, you are chipping away at things without committing to large batches of time. I should do this. It may be that I would not RESIST doing things that I don't enjoy doing. Also, you seem to come back multiple times a day and say a few things that you will aim for next. That seems wise too. THANKS for the good ideas.

Today I did a few basic things--rinsed dishes for DW, made my bed, wrapped a return package and put into a folder a thing I had to have copied. No computer ink, so it was worth it to pay a small amount to have it copied. Drove to shopping center and mailed package, had the papers run off, and then moved the car toward the food store. I shopped slowly, studying things because I usually have things delivered and don't shop in person very often. Didn't get heavy items; those will be delivered. It felt good to get out on this windy, but warmish day. Ate lunch and am not sure what else I'll do today. catcats

Catcats, I always have trouble making myself do anything if I think it's going to take a long time. When I break things down into steps, or chunks of 10 minutes, it's totally doable. A lot of the time I can make myself keep going longer, but also a lot of the time I just do 10 minutes and stop. Either way, I've done something. I get a lot of pain in my back, side, hips, etc. when I'm on my feet for a long time so this also allows me to rest a lot. I have a timer on the cell phone I carry around in my pocket so I have it with me all the time. I make the lists here and often have to come back and look at the list because I forget what's on it, but I get a lot more done when I post here. It seems like an adult person should be able to just do whatever needs to be done without using a 10 minute timer, but it works for me, so I keep doing it.

Errands this morning, nothing major I washed just a couple of dishes reheated some food Vacuumed around for 5 minutes DH dumped his work bag out on the floor before we went out so i went through it and gathered the trash and then repacked it. That area needed a good vacuuming! Thinking about a nice 30 minutes walk later and to get the mail on the walk.

Thank you for the good thoughts everyone! I think it is a combination of the UTI and a penchant for manipulation. I am hoping Mom’s UTI gets cleared up soon she started on antibiotics today.
I need to get started on house tonight. I am going to try to get some stuff done in my master bedroom so I can sleep there tonight.
