I have a note from the doctor, leaving me off work for a week. This is what I need to do:
1. Start following my sleep and med schedule so I can get myself into a good routine. 2. Pay some bills 3. Organize my credit cards and budget 4. Find someone to be my preceptor for this semester 5. Put in my April clinical schedule 6. Finish putting my laundry away 7. Drop off my current dirty laundry at the laundry service 8. Make appointments to see my psych nurse practitioner and my chiropractor 9. Move my YMCA membership to the branch that is closest to my school. 10. Make appointments at my acupuncture clinic 11. Clean this place up enough so I can spread down my yoga mat 12. Make sure I have a swim bag packed with swimsuit, towels, and personal hygiene items. 13. Text some friends and go out for some coffee 14. Finish a series of blog posts about how EKGs work 15. Make a dent on my upcoming assignments. 16. Most of all, have a low-stress, low-stimulation week to relax and let myself unwind so I can get back to a balanced state.

Over the weekend I managed to get all of the regularly scheduled laundry done. I was so happy. (Friday I had to wash my parents bedding - that is another story but it felt good to make their bed with clean blankets and comforter) I have a load of random darks to run tonight or when I can. We are in the bullseye for that huge nor'easter that will hit tonight through wednesday. I am going to stay at my parents house through the storm. They have a generator and I pay for internet so I will be safe and sound. I started to set out my clothes to pack. I already have coffee and milk up there as well as dog food and a lead to let her out. Over the weekend I just about emptied my parents closet and packed up my dad's clothes to be donated. I have pretty decorative items all over - and I sorted and packed those by holiday in bins. they are safely stacked in the basement. it will be nice to be able to ut my hands on things when I need them. I saved my dad's ties to make a tie quilt. I started to save the shirts to use as well but talked myself out of that and out the shirts in the donate pile. I brought some clothes to my friend's house that did not fit me right. I doubt they will fit her but I will let her try. We got invited to a clothing exchange, if they dont fit her they will go to the exchange.
Sink is empty, stove is cleared off. clean dishes put away. I dumped some of the old food from the fridge and got the trash out. three bags of trash out of my parents house. Still need to clear out the recylables. I got 4 bins out of the LR. (my LR) and two bins out of my parents house. And a big box of books to donate to the library. I need to step up the pace at both my parents and my house. My car is pretty much cleared out - it needs a good cleaning once the snow clears and it warms up.
OK time to focus and make my list for tonight: 1) pack clothes for two-three days (toothbrush, contact case and solution) 2) pack coffee pot (DH will want coffee) 3) pack some food (crockpot meal) and some snacks 4) laptop and charger
I am sure I will add to it as the day goes on

Good morning everyone! Lennon, thanks for starting the thread!
Ohblondie, I know storms can be serious, but I love the idea of you going off with Cali to a nice, snug place to ride it out! Too bad you can't keep your mom's house and retreat there when needed--your family can take care of themselves at your main house and you can take care of you and Cali at the other one when you needed a break! It sounds like you had an amazingly productive weekend.
Erin, I read your post in the other thread, it sounds like you have a lot going on between work, school, exercise and meetings. I love schedules and lists--I'm not always able to keep up with them, but they help me a lot. You mentioned pets too, what pets do you have?
I was surprised to see snow falling when I took the dog out this morning, very dense snowfall, so beautiful! But it has already stopped and I don't think there will be anymore--it was just enough to make a dusting on the lawns. I was going to go to the library this morning but I think I'll wait until tomorrow, there's one book I'm almost finished with and I'll be able to take that one back if I wait until tomorrow.
Today's focus is on plants again, I am behind with houseplant care and would like to start some additional seeds--I realized that if I started just a few flowering plants early in containers, that I could put them out on warm days but if there's a late frost I could just take them inside for the night. That way there will be a few flowers ready for the early bees!
Happy Monday to everyone, here's to a productive day for all of us!
Diane

Happy Monday! Everyone here has a good plan posted! ohblondie I think we are getting some of that storm too.., I did not get my important financial work done!! Sunday ended up being more social which is good as i need social. I was up early and tended to the animals. I was feeling proud that DST did not beat me… then I fell sound asleep and woke up just in time to get to church a bit late. After church I had about an hour home until I left to meet friends for lunch. ( I picked the cheapest venue .). So I played out back s puppy mostly as I felt bad leaving her. Lunch was good, mom talk w some moms who have daughters DD’s age. We actually just chatted for three hours! I had figured two. But it was good break. Then I went to the store to get a few items for my DS snd DBIL who is dealing w aggressive cancer and visited with them for awhile My DS gave me all this food she was on a meal plan and she has more than they can eat before it expires… so I have free food for lunches and dinners this week!! I then went home to get my walk in with puppy -loved the later sunset! We arrived at the park around 6:30 so I had about 40 minutes til sunset. This park is divided into two big segments. Puppy and I were the only ones there in our segment. There was one car parked near the entrance to the other segment. That segment is more rustic and isolated. My segment is more open and spacious and has houses along two sides. It was great to have the park though I would have like a little more company but no worries about unleashed dogs. We left about 7:30 when the light was really going. Then instead of doing my finance project I hit the couch to warm up. Went to bed fairly early after doing dishes and litter. Today woke up too early! Instead of getting ready fir work promptly I chilled out w coffee. Now at work and no meetings!!!!

You might want to wait until 1 minute after you get home because she might ask you to stay late for a meeting!

Now I'm going to clean out underneath the kitchen sink upstairs. It is currently a big mess and I can't find anything under there.

That was interesting--I found the lost bottle of peppermint oil that I bought 2 years ago thinking I might need it to repel wasps. And half an hour crawling on the floor made my back and hips hurt again...it feels like I can't do anything involving bending or stooping or kneeling.
Now it's time to take the dog out.

I have a note from the doctor, leaving me off work for a week. This is what I need to do: 1. Start following my sleep and med schedule so I can get myself into a good routine. -- Created a workable sleep schedule taking my difereing school and work shifts into account. --Put the med schedule into my calendar and share it with my friend --Set Alarmy alarms in my phone to force me to take them at the right time 2. Pay some bills 3. Organize my credit cards and budget 4. Find someone to be my preceptor for this semester -- Sent emails to everyone on the preceptor list asking who would want to take me on --Waiting for replies 5. Put in my April clinical schedule6. Finish putting my laundry away 7. Drop off my current dirty laundry at the laundry service 8. Make appointments to see my psych nurse practitioner and my chiropractor -- Called the VA and asked for a call-back from psych nurse (waiting for reply) --Call the VA and ask for appointment with Chiropractor 9. 17. Get copies of my BLS instructor card printed at Staples 18. Mail the reciprocity request so I can get my Illinois EMT licence reinstated. 19. Find my paycheck and put it in the bank 20. Go out to my old job and pick up my last check. My meds are still messing with my brain. I know for sure it is the psych meds and not the pain meds now, as I only took motrin for my back today. So I am starting with some of the low-energy and more time-sensitive projects first @despsito, yes, I am super-busy. It's fine if I schedule things and then stick to the plan. I run into trouble when I forget to take my meds and then forget to sleep. Or I sta up too late because I forgot I had something to do the next day. AS for pets, I have 2 large, mixed-breed dogs and one tine New Zealand Dwarf bunny. Boy, doing just a few things wiped me out! I am going to make thise few appointments and then take a nap.
