catcats I hope you feel better Diane and redheaderin I saw a group of robins a week or so ago in the park; puppy was leaping towards them. We have seen them a few times -they are very confident and are unfazed by puppy’s leaping and barking I was semi productive at work. One project has become a mess due to chaos and I am just exhausted by it. I met w a staff person who is leaving division in a month and they have no work planned or underway except for a very tiny project that will take two hours. That was it. They seemed offended and annoyed when I created a list of things they could get moving on before they transfer Took puppy for walk in park in very snowy conditions- she was so energized and jubilant that I was a little concerned she would be uncontrollable! She was jumping straight up and that is a wild move. There were a few cars in lot today and I spotted two other dog walkers, two cross country skiers and a family w little kids playing in snow. I like some company there! On the way home, we stopped at the pet store. I needed cat food snd I knew it would be an enriching experience for puppy. She shoplifted! As we walked down an aisle where they were selling dog biscuits in bulk, puppy grabbed one and ate it! At home I fed us all, fell asleep, woke up and did dishes, cleaned litter, took out trash and cleaned bathroom sink. It was so beautiful out! The world covered in snow -I wished that I could just start roaming around Now Boycat is next to me kneading my arms with his claws purring!! Gnite

good morning all!
I feel like I am up at O'dark:30 but it is the normal time. Thanks to the time change it is pitch black outside. I let Cali out and she got tangled in the bush (her lead). So in my slippers I was out and untangling her. the snow got crusty and hard overnight. Our school is on a two hour delay so the roads must be messy.
i am snuggling a little bit longer before
i start work.

Erin, I'm pretty sure the robins here aren't finding many insects, I haven't seen any outside and I've been inspecting my yard to see if any plants are coming up yet. I know they eat berries too, I would think all of last year's berries would be gone by this time but who knows, they're obviously eating something or they wouldn't be here yet.
I'm envious of your snow ohblondie, I know it's too late in the season for us to get any good amounts now. I hope you all stay safe on the roads, it's hard to appreciate a beautiful snowfall when you're driving in it.
Bree, I think a store that allows dogs in and still puts bulk biscuits within dog height expects to lose a few that way! I would have loved to have seen that, though.
I considered walking to Walmart today but it's still so cold out and today is also a phone call day which means morning is the only chance I have to get work done, so I decided not to go. Not panicking about having enough water gives me a lot of leeway as to when I go.

Well all I can hear is the wind whipping back and forth. I am thinking it must be cold outside though I was only out once to untangle the dog. It is cold when I stick my head out though.
I am on my third cup of coffee (it is half caff) and three mugs are about just a bit more than the extra large I drink every morning T work.

Ohblondie, I hope you are safe and warm inside. I saw some photos from the storm but I think there was more snow in the photos than you got.
Okay, I have to tell another Walmart story. I'm sure I wrote about the fact that I ordered 6 items to be shipped, and they decided to send 3 from the store. They only sent one from the store, so I had to go into chat to report it and get a refund for the other 2 items. Well, today the other 3 items that were shipped were supposed to arrive. I got an email saying they were here, so I went to the front porch. There was a huge box there. I thought--this doesn't look right.
I opened the box and it contains a giant box of diapers, a bottle of "baby" laundry detergent, a package of baby wipes and about 10 bottles of hair care products! After opening it I thought oh no, they left a box with someone else's name on it and I didn't look at the label before opening--but no, my name and address are correct. Obviously they switched labels.
I cannot believe that BOTH parts of the order got screwed up. I had to go to chat again and get a refund for the 3 items I was supposed to receive.
So, now it's hard for me to get to a store in person, and the ordering on the internet isn't even working!
See--this is why I keep a large stock of everything--I order everything before I need it because of things like this--there was really only 1 item I badly needed out of the 6 and that was the item that actually arrived the first day! They did not offer re-shipping, only refunds. So...I either have to try to order the other 5 items again and see if they get it right this time, or just get them from the store when I finally get there. I was trying to save having a heavy, packed full cart. Actually, one item has to be ordered online, I don't think it's offered in the stores.
I asked how to return the other items since I don't drive, and they said to keep or donate. The hair care items are not something I would ever use, so the only thing I could conceivably use is the baby wipes. Or maybe the baby laundry detergent? I can donate the diapers and hair care stuff, although I'll have to wait until there's a collection nearby again, like at the library.
I wonder how much money Walmart loses by delivering things to the wrong people?
I also took the dog out, where she wandered around and around the yard and didn't want to come in. I can't blame her, it's the first warmer day we've had in a while and the sun was quite pleasant, so we were out there for around 45 minutes. I moved the laundry to the dryer and started the second load of bed linens.
Now I'm going to eat lunch, that will leave me about an hour before my phone call so I will try to get something else done.

Hi Everyone ! I did some cleaning today--- a small amount of vacuuming which I will finish later, and the toilet, BR sink and floor, and most of the tub. Took a shower and washed my hair. Oh yes, did the cat pans and made my bed. Kitchen tidying . It is cold and very windy here again. The PT lady who is to do home PT for me called today and we set up the first appointment for next week. She sounded very pleasant. I am still walking with some unbalanced feeling. I am not sick anymore though. bree , I LOVE that your puppy shoplifted. ohblondie , I can just see you in your slippers on the crusty snow, untangling Cali. And Diane, I always like to hear about your dog and her new dog bed,and how she is doing. redheaderin, I believe I remember that you have 2 dogs and a dwarf bunny. I do love rabbits a lot. I have had 2 dogs in my past, a while back. They were Golden Retrievers, Janet and Jessie. I did love them as much as I have loved all my cats. A dog would be too much for me now, scooping the yard, etc. I am lucky to have my darling cats though. Mocha and Latte are great company for me. Have to get dinner now and feed those boys. I used to think staying even sounded boring and far too simple to be
worth considering. Now I understand how difficult it really is. I also
understand that it isn't just a boring, basic thing. It's the
foundation for everything else.
I went back to bed and didn't wake up until 1:00 pm! I guess my off-plan eating and sleeping and caught up with me. This is a pattern on Wednesdays. my "Saturday" in terms of household responsibilities, as its when Lady D and 2 leave town. I have been disappointed with myself, but apparently my expectations are unrealistic. I need to declare its my day completely off. Well, except for dishes, duds, dinner and personal care.
NEXT UP: what to wear? take shower do hair do face get dressed pack food to DPs'

Well, I didn't do much after my phone call, I took the dog out for another long yard session and I finished the last load of laundry, and had dinner. I still have to put the clean laundry back on the bed.

So I got ready to go, packed up some food, and left... when I got to DPs, I realized I had forgotten my food. So I came back, took my meds and left again.
And then I crashed. Didn't even have the energy to sit and scrapbook. So disappointing! DF made dinner for us. I skipped the movie and came home. I will try and go to bed early.

Well, today did not go exactly as planned. I met a friend for lunch and then we went thrift shopping. I am thrilled with what I found. Most of it was designer. When I came home I realized I had to make room for the new purchases, and also have a look at what I already own. I was amazed to find out how few nice things I really own. SO that lead to organizing my closet and finding 2 more bags of stuff for the thrift store. I left my ex two years ago with almost nothing. How do I find myself with excess clothes to take to the thrift store? Done: Organized closet Got 2 bags ready for thrift store Did my nails (YAY!) Put away one bag of laundry Got chemicals for toilet tank Stopped at Dollar General to get a calendar and deodorant Watched 2 youtube videos about electrical conduction in the heart while doing my nails. Made my chiropractor and GP appointments Put away all new clothes Changed licence plate Fed dogs Fed bunny Made 2 meals for myself at home Tomorrow is going to be a day of errands.
