Good afternoon everypony!
I am jelly of y'all's fall experience. Ours doesn't come until November. It lasts two week, It will start cooling down in October. September is often hot. today the high is 94*F/34*C.
I am wore out, but I need to keep working. We are prepping the craft room for painting tomorrow, which includes putting up the window cling for privacy and UV reflection. The windows had tape on them, so I have just finished cleaning them. DVD has been cleaning and putting spackle on the walls.
I have a bunch of other things on the list, most of which I will need to defer. I do need to book the movers for DMIL. We will visit her as soon as we can get away.
Tomorrow we will split up: DVD will apply the base coat and I will start working at his mom's. Friday I will have help from a friend of DVD's who is becoming my friend too!

well that's the best possible reason for non-zero DR table, reve !
I managed to get the cling film on the front window that gets the afternoon sun. Haven't trimmed it yet. I don't have enough to do the other windows, dang it. But they aren't as crucial. earliest more would get here is Saturday.
it's 102*F according to the backyard thermometer. but the wind chill is bringing it down to 99*
kitty just climbed on my lap so I will find something to do sitting here. Like social media

Finally, my phone is charging normally again. I kept getting messages that it's charging slowly, and I saw information online suggesting cleaning the port out with a pin. That sounded like something that could cause damage so I did it very cautiously a few weeks ago and it seemed to help a bit but not much. I found a very thin sewing pin and did it again, thinking that if I damaged something my phone wouldn't charge at all, but it was getting to a point that it was taking all day to charge so I would have had to do something if this didn't work. It worked! It goes much faster now and no more error messages.
I took the dog out, it's so nice in the shade, I would have stayed out longer except for the mosquitoes. I checked the tree and although it's not exactly dry, I'll have to water it tomorrow--there's no rain in the forecast so pretty soon I'll have to water everything.
I also did an inventory of what I have in case I decide to shop in the morning. I'm not really feeling like it, but if I don't have a list ready, I know for sure I won't go.
I checked the USPS site just in case they had release date for the winter stamps, but not yet. I haven't like the Christmas stamps the last few years but this year I love them, plus they have a winter stamp too that I love. So I'll be buying a supply when they finally release them. I'm guessing the winter one will come out first but maybe not.
Okay, I guess I'll think about dinner. One more thing I'd like to do today is package up a trade book so I can mail it in the morning if I go shopping.

Hi reve! Scholar, is it normal to have temperatures this high where you are? Or is it the crazy weather phenomenon all around the world at the moment?

I packaged the trading book, so if I don't go shopping I'll have to get to the mailbox in the next couple of days.
Good night everyone, see you in the morning!

Is this the start of you not keeping all the books Diane?
I am seeing lots of carpet around here. I let 6 more things visit the trash can today. Things are finally improving and the video's are helping me keep on track. Decluttering is working!

Hi Everyone !!
Today, I did all the dailies and also did laundry. Spent maybe 15-20 minutes rearranging kitchen cabinets and took some things out to either donate or get rid of.
Swept out front for about 5 minutes. Brought all trash cans around back. Unpacked and read about the Roomba.
Talked to BFF in CT. Texted a lot with my DD who needed support with a family problem. She had to put one of her dogs down.
Emptied the dehumidifier.
Wishing good things for everyone.

Diane, the overall pattern is normal, September and October being beautiful months here. But it has been kicked up a notch with climate change. Last summer many days in a row over 100, this spring a dozen "atmospheric rivers" with many days in a row of constant rain. This summer has actually been a a bit cooler. I do miss the green and wildlife.
we went out for a fast food salad, did some shopping for cleaning supplies, and then got ice cream and wandered around that neighborhood. Came home to 85 inside and out--time to open the windows and turn on the fans!
the sunset was stunning, but its because of smoke from a distant fire.
Tonight I want to:
finish trimming the cling film pack up cleaning and organizing supplies and some clothing I'll bring my laptop, too.

Happy Thursday. My part of the planet is having a beautiful fall day. Sunny, blue skies and 59 degrees F. It is mostly predicted to be in the 60s today. Hope everyone facing bad weather is safe and has power. catcats thanks so much for your sweet post on the weekend thread. It literally brought tears to my eyes! you are so kind and understanding! I am working from home today which is a perk. I have a pesky kind of project to work on this morning that I hope I can make some real headway on. Chaos assigned some urgent project deadlines yesterday just after our workplace officially closes! Yesterday I finally rallied w work and got some things done. filled the gas tank on the way home got home obligatory game of fetch ate dinner - bought myself some free time from puppy w a bone took puppy for a walk; sunset is so early now! this walk featured deer, rabbits, and a racoon. several peeps too and a soccer practice. we walk a lot to a cemetary but by the time i got there it was getting dark and no one else was there. then a car entered and very slowly approached and i was heading towards the exit -- but it was just a person bringing their dog for a late walk! I need to leave for walks earlier though. the darkness brings more animals out When I got home I did not want to do anything but I did! did the dishes cleaned litter emptied the trash and took bin to curb emptied dehumidifier cleaned bathroom sink cleaned toilet bowl went around the house with the goal of putting 20 items away, which I did did some shredding and recycling I also gave girlcat her medicine this time crushed up and covered in tuna water. It looks like all of it was consumed by her! girlcat is so feisty and freaked out when I give her pills; I have to cause such anxiety in an elderly, blind, sick cat so I will try this method. Girlcat has kidney diet food. She seems to like it; in fact, boycat and puppy both seem to like it! I was not going to force girlcat to eat food she does not like at this stage in her life; eating may be her only pleasure. So I am glad she seems to enjoy it So far today I played wordle, checked my email, wrote a check for the lawn guy. next do some work on new urgent projects and start to tackle pesky one!

Good morning everyone!
I did walk to Walmart this morning. I got an early start and didn't need quite as much as usual, and didn't need anything in the non-grocery section, so my trip was quicker. Also, when I left this morning the temp outside was just under 60 degrees! So, very pleasant walking. The first thing I saw when I got to the main street was a man walking ahead of me wearing a long sleeve flannel jacket--I thought, really? The minute the temp goes down the tiniest bit people bring out their winter gear. I should now be set for groceries even if the heat next week extends for a while.
Is this the start of you not keeping all the books Diane?
Oh no oust, this is near the end of my not keeping all the books! Well, okay, maybe in the middle of my not keeping all the books, I do still have a lot. But I got rid of many hundreds if not over a thousand a few years ago. Yes, I want to keep chipping away at how many I have.
obligatory game of fetch
Bree, does she bring a toy to you the minute you walk in the door? Don't forget the magical chicken baby food to hide crushed pills in!
I'm going to eat breakfast and then get some work done in between resting from my walk.

Ugh, my back is hurting. The weather was so nice and cool this morning that I didn't have the usual exhaustion from the walk but I'm still having the aches.
Next:
10 minutes on paper Write out another special request Christmas card Clean out a hardware drawer Delete 50 emails
