Good morning! Thanks for starting the week off, lennon.
I'm up early, I slept from 9-12 and 12-3, but then couldn't fall back to sleep. The dog didn't have to go out, and since I went downstairs early I got a good chunk of reading in before falling asleep at 9. But 6 hours seems to be my limit lately.
Wishing a good week to everyone!

Good morning. lennon Thanks for starting us off. Your plan/list for today looks like a good one. Yesterday, after my late, healthy lunch. I felt so sleepy the rest of the day. Even before we got up to leave, I caught myself falling asleep as DH was writing a Yelp review. I wanted so badly to get things done as I had planned. It was as tho I had been drugged! That’s how sudden the sleepiness came upon me & lasted the rest of the day & I fell asleep in the couch about 11:45pm (right when I was about to head to the bedroom to sleep. I had planned to go to bed at 12am due to having slept so late. Anyway, I even asked DH if there was something I had eaten at lunch that could have caused the drowsiness. He said “no”. So, I only washed a small load of laundry, moved it to dryer & hung when done. Also, did some meal planning. DH emptied kitchen trash & replaced bag And, took 2 bags of recyclable bottles/cans/jars to outside recycle can He also took 2 sacks of recyclable papers/junk mail/sm boxes to outside can & 7 larger boxes to outside recycle can. Yay, DH. Looked where wardrobe boxes are in Capsule/POD — It was disheartening to see how much is on top of those so I can’t get to more of my clothes for upcoming trip. We are still not ready to unload it due to house still not ready enough to bring stuff in. I am very hard to fit & will need to go clothes shopping. That is very time consuming. I used to enjoy shopping but nowadays it’s much harder. It will be strange to go shopping at the factory outlet center near me where there was a big mass shooting a few months ago. I am so sad about it. I’m not sure that I will be able to shop there but these employees & businesses need support & need to stay open for business. My clothes situation is so minuscule when thinking about what happened there. Anyway, I did sleep well last night & awoke this morning at 6:45 to my phone alarm. Planning on getting to work very early to do some long delayed catch-up work. After focusing on that until my real workday is to start, my 1st 2 workday items are extremely important & I hope that I can accomplish them quickly. One of them is something that boss forwarded to me over the weekend. Top of my list for the day!!! Hope everyone has a fantastic week! mylittlescholar heat exhaustion is so dangerous! Hoping you are ok! Yesterday, was our first day to be barely under 100 degrees. I think we’ve had something like 30-40 days in a row of 100+ degrees! Cold front this week with highs only in the mid to upper 90s!! Yay! Feels so much cooler than 105-113 degrees!! Luv, Cd

We decided to go see Oppenheimer last night. We went to the 8pm showing. I thought we would be out by 10 or so. UGH....It was around 11pm by the time we got out. I am so groggy this am. Then I could not get the front door to open to get to work. I had to call my son to some open the door - he was on his way to work and was driving by the house so it worked out fine. What a typical monday.
Yesterday was busy. i brought my dad coffee and a donut and spent some time with him. then went to get my mom and we did the 70th wedding anniversary party. then I brought my mom to see my dad. we brought him cake and treats. then I brought her to her apartment then she had a list for me. I was a tad annoyed as everything could have waited until when I go over tonight. Because of the list we missed the 5pm showing of the movie. I was too tired and didnt want to go to the movie but it was National Movie theater day or something, and the tickets were $4
Tonight I must tackle the dishes, wash a second load of jeans and wash the whites as I have some stuff of my mom's. She wont wear white after labor day. So I want to get it to her so she can wear it one last time.
OK - I have some backlogged work to attack.

Good morning cando and ohblondie!
Cando, how awful to have so much of your stuff still packed away. What still has to be done in your house? I can relate to the sudden tiredness, I get that a lot in the afternoon--my eyes just start closing. That would not be good to happen on a workday!
Ohblondie, how did you enjoy the movie? Funny that your mom won't wear white after Labor Day--old habits die hard.
I'm going to call my decluttering client now, and then figure out how to make myself do some work.

During my conversation with my decluttering client she brought up Covid, and I told her about the book I was reading about the 1918 flu epidemic, which is reminding me so much of 2020. I told her that in the book the main group dying were people between 20 and 40, but this is historical fiction so they can be creative with the details. So after talking to her I looked it up, and yes, young healthy people were the main group dying, so I had to look up why.
Apparently, they only recently discovered, (by looking at old blood samples--who would think they still had blood samples from the 1800s!) it had to do with the strain of flu that was around when these adults were children. People first get the flu in childhood so their immune systems are exposed to whatever strain happens to be around then. It happened that over a period of years when that group were children it was a completely different strain so that when H1N1 appeared in 1918 they had no immunity to it. The years before and after had H1, so younger and older people already had some built-in immunity. Fascinating, but a big reason why I get distracted--curiosity.
TO DO:
Feed dog Start load of laundry 10 minutes on first floor PEEPing
10 minutes cutting down boxes

I treated myself to a nice sandwich from the local diner. It must have been National Eat at a Diner for Lunch day as the line was out the door. At 1pm! In my very small little city.
I feel like I am getting much done - tying up all kinds of loose ends. I might not work from home on wednesday and come into work to finish some of these projects that are due by Thursday . And I have thursday off. And thursday was my deadline....

Hello scholar!
I have been working on fridge stuff--I had zucchini and carrots to wash, chop up and steam, and I put some things on the side for the compost bin. Now it's time for lunch and a reading break.

I think we are going to fill the RV. and mostly empty the kitchen!
DVD put cardboard down on the bed. We got the "garage" mostly filled. I am doing a bit of repacking, putting boxes of the same size together, and tossing soft items aside for LD to bring in her car.
It is too hot to be doing this, but momentum is carrying us along. just stopped for lunch. we are having our own pizza-moving-party.
the cat is concerned, but hopefully when everything is cleared out and we are still here, he will relax.
I also found the "fly nursery." I'm not sure what they are eating! but I'm glad I'll be able to get at the source of the Lord of the Flies situation in the kitchen.
