Hi all! Another busy day at work with just staff in - I have had a bad habit of keeping bags of stuff under my desk and today I got that cleared out for the first time. I found things that had still been there since I started my job four years ago. I have a desk organiser for stationery that was getting quite cluttered and I reorganised that. Still lots to do, but I'm feeling like I'm making progress
Done: Changed towels bathroom Vacuumed downstairs Load of laundry Dusted bathroom Achieved coffee table zero Dining chair that has been used as a junk chair upstairs brought downstairs at last now that it has been cleared Got rid of three empty archive boxes
To do: Laundry from machine to dryer Set out clothes for tomorrow Put new cover on the extra dining chair Achieve dining table zero

Good afternoon reve!
The next thing I'm going to do is look at a proposed feature in the book database that I started using a year ago. I have emailed with the owner of this site and suggested they do something that FictFact did--the database I used prior to this one. They actually are working on that feature and the owner is letting those of us who suggested it look at the proposed version of it to give comments. So, I will do that now and respond, hopefully it won't take too long.

Well, that was cool--my very favorite feature of FictFact was you could get a list of the next book in all the series you were reading--it saved so much time. This group will soon have that feature, I'm really happy about that! I did pass along some comments.
Now I need to steam some veggies and maybe make a sweet potato before I can eat, so I guess I'm done for the day. It was an okay day, I feel like I got some things accomplished.

ooh I would love that feature, Diane!
wow wow wow we got four curtains up! two more to go, as we want to cut off the bottoms and use them elsewhere. The rod and rings are up and ready, however. DVD bought the curtains from Disney when they were refurbishing a hotel, so they are a nice quality and block the heat and light. and since we picked the paint to match, they look great.
We also moved in the 14x14 cabinet for my scrapbooking stuff and the file cabinet. They only fit one way, so it looks weird, but the colors are perfect. I am in the process of filling the file cabinet. There is a lot of storage between these and the hutch over my desk. Now for the decision making.
I am wore out from yesterday as well as this, so its time for another break.

Well scholar, the name of the site is "BookNotification" and it will have this feature at some point in the future. Of course that means you have to put in all the series you're reading and where you are in the series, which is why I keep trying to do the data entry required, it's taking forever because I have so many series. It's a new site so is still adding features but I think it'll end up being really good.

Oh my....where to start
Last wednesday the real estate agent listed my parents house on the market. immediately I was receiving notifications of numerous showings being booked for Saturday (none sunday) then again on monday. I was psyched. Friday the agent called my sister and told her that the house smelled musty and mildewey and she was putting out air fresheners. I was furious - the photographer that was there monday to take the listing photos commented on how good the house smelled. (She also commented o hte good feelings she had in the house) I walked into the house friday night and there were several plug in fresheners on full blast and several little disposable ones. the smell of fake scent was overwhelming. I unplugged everything and took everything out of the house. But it was too late. It was a rainy weekend and I could not leave windows open to air it out. It was so gross smelling and it made it seem like we were trying to disguise the smell of something bad. The smell is mostly gone - but it is lingering in one room. We had two more showings yesterday. This house is in one of the most sought after neighborhoods. It should have sold over the weekend. the agent we did not use sold her listing in one weekend. We had one opportunity to come in strong and sell. And I feel like that ship has sailed. The home is immaculate and well maintained. And clean. People have commented how clean it is. It does not have stainless steel appliances. really? Not everyone likes stainless. they are easily replaced.
I wonder if the universe is trying to tell me I should buy my sister out and retire there.
OK - busy weekend. I went to a college football game (not a big one - a small local one). Trying to support a friend and her family. This was a remarkable weekend. Every football team in our small city won their games this weekend. Our pop warner teams, our middle school team, our JV and our varsity. We are not known for our football - but something great happened this past weekend. And our varsity win was a huge and important win over a local power house.
I took monday off and ran my mother all over town to deal with two banks, return something to a local store, lunch and a dr appt. I ended up with a free night on monday and went to meet DS and his GF and her DD and her father and we had pizza. Tuesday I was up at the crack of dawn to meet my dad for an endoscopy. I went to work after that. I had yesterday off and went to a meeting at school, then to open the house for a showing (I open the blinds and make sure everything is pristine), I took down a blind that was malfunctioning, went and took my mom to visit my dad, brought my mom home, dropped off the blind to be fixed, went back to the school for another meeting. I ended the night at a celebration for a group I am involved with - good thing because I was starving and they had some nice food.
I was home at a decent hour and I devoted that time to getting my summer clothes put away. I pulled some items out to donate. I made sure that the sets were out away together - no scrambling for the missing shirt or pants. I was able to find my fall bin pretty quickly - everything was nicely organized and ready to pull out and wear.
Here's hoping today will be a quiet day and I will get some work done. And someone will love that house as much as my parents did!

Good morning womble--ugh, more technology problems, or at least, machine problems. I hope your washer keeps going for a while.
Ohblondie, that really sucks about the house, but I'm sure it will sell soon, now that you've gotten the stinky air fresheners out!
I was able to find my fall bin pretty quickly - everything was nicely organized and ready to pull out and wear.
That's a win!
Another night of about 6 hours sleep, the dog had to go out in the middle of the night. Despite my continuing bad sleep, the good thing is that the dog seems a little bit calmer--I did increase her CBD oil after talking to a vet tech at the company that makes it, and it's possible it's helping a tiny bit. I've started using the harness to help her up and down the porch stairs so I feel less worried about her falling. I did sleep later than I wanted to again, I don't remember turning the alarm off after one hit at the snooze button.
She didn't want to go out yet this morning so I'll wait until she's ready.
I'm eating breakfast and figuring out what I can do today.

Happy Thursday! Have not posted since Monday. Did read back Diane your comcast troubles ugh! ohblondie I did not want stainless for my kitchen when I was buying~ I hope the house sells quickly. I bet it will sell this week if your area is like my area, houses are snatched up with huge offers. I am feeling sluggish! overall. not sure why. hard to be productive at work and at home. I am keeping up with going to work, doing the dishes, litter, dishes, puppy walks. It gets dark so early now; I don't like to walk puppy in the dark as more animals are out and it is just harder to see of course. yesterday morning I let the cats out early -- girlcat is a relentless alarm clock - and puppy was at the door barking so loudly. I went to check as the sun was not yet up and there in the early morning light was a mom deer and two fawns across the street looking at us! I see deer all the time, every day, but it never gets old. At another walk, I watched 12 deer emerge from the woods into a field; puppy watched too but we were far enough away to just watch and she did not try to get them. and then next walk, we saw nine deer emerge so shadowy and disappear into more shadows near the park. I am the deer counter. we are having beautiful autumn weather. deep blues skies, sunny, and just a touch of chill to the air. work has been kind of a big mess w/lots of political intrigue. it is kind of exhausting and I am not interestedi n political intrigue! sigh. glad to have a job but sometimes makes me so weary! my goal today: Need to redry some clothes! I left them in dryer too long so they are all wrinkly. hope that by redrying with a wet towel thrown in that they will dry wrinkle free, IF I get them out and folded! Have to take poor boycat to vet just for his shots need to outline my finances for this pay period. some big bills coming due. work - need to make progress on numerous projects

bree every house in this neighborhood has had multiple offers above and beyond the asking price. I am not expecting record amounts for this house -- but the fact that we have not had one offer is concerning. The market was different when we bought our house 20 plus years ago - but we made an offer under asking and it was accepted. there is something just not right going on
