Hi, BUSY people !! Even when we give up and hide under a blankie, we are busy. We are recharging !!
This morning I did the dailies and took down the trash and recycling. Put away the rest of the Chewy order and cleaned up a hairball accident. (TMI)
Started a load of laundry which includes mostly one of my winter jackets and a washable purse which needs to be packed away for Spring.
Called the Dr. and left a message about a scrip.
I need to do a bunch of cleaning today, mainly vacuuming everywhere. I just had to stop and rest a while, so here I am. Maybe I will BBL.
My best to all !!

catcats you are sweet! and you are chugging away as always! I folded and put away two loads of laundry. they had been languishing for so long in a laundry basket, luckily no wrinkle worries. cleaned cat litter brought recycling and garbage bins back to garage and filled w new stuff! took a shower quick run to store to get cat food, what else, and then to office for afternoon

bree Part of my job is supervising staff who review and approve applications. I tell this one woman not to lock them to herself then review and re-review and review again. one read through will tell you if it needs to be returned - so I tell her to return it right away. Once she knows it is going back - send it back. I am trying to do that with emails as well. I have my email set up with the "preview panel" where I can see the body of the email or at least the first few lines. When it pops across my screen - if it is urgent - i deal with it right away. If not - I wait til my scheduled email time to address it. Usually when I get in, before lunch, after lunch and mid to late afternoon. I try to address all of them at the same time. We had a lunch holiday party today It was nice. I was in the running for "Name that Tune" game but bowed out before the end. I did win the Ugly Christmas sweater - gangster penguins with flashing lights! OK - back to work for me

read my work email thoroughly each day.
Bree, my decluttering client has a terrible problem with work emails. For some reason she doesn't like to, or forgets to, look at her work emails every day. When she does she has a lot and can't handle them all, so they get put aside and several days later she's telling me she missed an important one and her boss is asking her why she didn't do something. She works at home and doesn't keep a set schedule, which I think is a mistake--it's so easy to get distracted or say you're going to start work but put it off. I told her I think she should try for keeping the same work hours each day if possible, then she could have a particular time where she makes herself deal with emails. I'm not sure why she doesn't even want to look at them, unless it's the dread of getting asked to do more things that she doesn't have time for.
Even when we give up and hide under a blankie, we are busy. We are recharging
Catcats you are right, everyone needs some down time in their day.
I'm home from dropping off the sample, going to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions, and then I decided to stop at the library to return a book that couldn't be renewed so I didn't have to out again this weekend. I was waiting in line at the pharmacy at the front of the store by the regular registers, and a customer at the front had a little girl with him who was around 3 or 4, and she coughed violently non-stop while touching everything within reach. As soon as they were gone both clerks pulled out cans of disinfectant and started spraying them all round the checkout area, one of them said--"I think I should start wearing my mask again!" Of course, I WAS wearing my mask, so I was happy about that.
For some reason this walk really knocked me out--the whole time my legs hurt from my feet up to my hips, and even my shoulders hurt holding on the cart. I'm glad this was not a Walmart walk day, there's no way I could have done that walk today. It's been 3 days since my doctor appointment so it can't possibly still be stress from that.
Anyway, I'm home now and there is a library book calling me--I decided to try a horror story and started it last night, so far it's really good. I will read while I eat lunch--better to read the creepy books during the daytime!

Good morning everypony!
It's so important to have a system to deal with emails. David Allen wrote a whole white paper about it! I do not have one. I have almost 15,000 in my inbox, I kid you not. The online version of my inbox is very clunky, but that's a dumb excuse.
I am so impressed with y'all... dealing with what you are dealing with, and yet determined to make the best of it.
You are loved! You are admired! You are valued!
I met with a new provider this morning, who was substituting for my regular person who has been out sick for six months. I'm very happy with our plan. Gonna go back to review everything in a month; hopefully with my regular person who is coming back.

Part 2. I vacuumed everything except my bedroom. Can't do that until later because Latte is sound asleep on the bed in the cutest position. When they are eating supper, I'll go in and do that room. I moved the rocker into the dining room since the tree will have to go there on Saturday when Diane comes. Moved 2 cat things to the basement. There are other things around here that they can lie on. In January, I will clean them and bring them back up. Tended to laundry. Processed mail. I am so worn out. Phone call from Carolyn inviting me to go to Pennsylvania with her Daughter, Angela, and her and Larry, and some others for a meal at a smorgasbord and then off to see Christmas lights. On Saturday. That's the day that Diane will come to do tree. If all goes well, I will do it because a day's outing with good friends is a winner to me. I may fall asleep in the van, coming home.
My best to all, catcats

put hats on teddy bears
Catcats, I would vote for seeing friends too! I miss seeing my friends in my old neighborhood even though we call or email, and I'm not even that social!
Other than my errands the only thing I accomplished today was making up the letters and labels to send to my shopping friend so she can send cards out. I got them packaged up and mailed. After today I will still try to get some more cards together and will mail on the 16th, which the post office says is the last day for Christmas delivery--not that I believe them, but it's reasonable to hope they'll get there.
I can't believe there are only 2 and a half weeks left in the year.
I'm eating dinner and then it'll be time to start getting ready for bed. I only had about 3 hours of sleep last night so I expect to fall asleep quickly tonight.
Good night all, see you in the morning!
Diane

Fed cats, vacuumed my bedroom, ate supper, and talked with my BFF in CT. Took shower, transferred clothes to dryer, and put dishes into DW. Turned it on.
Tomorrow, I will try to bring some decorations down and put them up. Since Diane is coming and since I want to go out with friends to PA, I would like to get some decorating done and just have her do the tree. Hopefully, I can fit it all in on Saturday.
Such a busy time of year.
My best to all of you.

Good morning to everyone!
Today's high will be 52 and there are a few things I'd still like to do in the yard so today would be the day to do them. And for the last few days I have some messes downstairs as well as my messy desks upstairs, so I need to do PEEPing.
Somehow it's Friday again--the weeks go by so fast.

Diane I sound like your client w emails, well I look at mine every day, but I forget the less urgent ones and they become messes. ohblondie your system sounds good I actually spend most of my day in the email world, as I think about it. weird how in the old days I used to wait in the fax line at work to send papers to HQ; there'd be a long line of us hoping the fax would go through! catcats your trip sounds to see the lights sounds perfect yesterday I went to the office in the afternoon and accomplished two important tasks. phew. by deadline. I went to a wake after work last night for a person my age from the neighborhood where I grew up. It was not fun but it was good to reconnect with some people and remember stories of growing up. I am so glad I grew up before the world became computerize no social media! just a few channels on the TV.. I know I sound like an oldie but it was good time, we were with our friends in person mostly unsupervised roaming around. kids participated in activities but nothing like the crazy over scheduling of today. I was not going to go to the funeral but I decided to because in addition to being there for the family, I want to show up for the old community too. after the wake I took puppy for a walk. she was extremely exuberant! flushing birds out of trees. vertical leaps of pure joy after that I went out to look for meteors and did see one, then I went to bed. Today I am off work! I must Christmas today. I have so much to do I don't know where to start. puppy is at daycare, so I need to focus on the stuff that is hard to do in puppy land.
