Congratulations on your exciting news ohblondie! I hope your dad is better soon. Do be careful with the wet foliage outside Diane - boyfriend's sister has horrible bruising and is mostly in a sling at the moment due to slipping and falling on wet leaves. Just in from visiting with boyfriend's family. Social battery is well and truly drained, so looking forward to several days of sleeping in, doing very little, staying in my pyjamas and making a dent in my Christmas chocolate!
Done: Emptied dishwasher Stacked and ran dishwasher Got rid of cooking leftovers (used lemon slices etc.) into compost recycling Cleared off the table of all the Christmas things and put all the table linen into the washing machine (it will go on tomorrow, the air dryers are all still stashed upstairs Achieved dining table zero

HI Diane - I am off for the week - YAY. I am getting stuff done it is just slow as molasses.
So far I have zero dirty dishes and zero dirty laundry. I just need to get folding and putting it away. OH yes I do have some dirty laundry - in my new clothes pile which I also like to wash the cat has been dragging shirts off to sleep on them (adding fur for the first washing). So new Christmas shirts are heading to the washer with the cat fur blessing too.
I am also going to start some cooking. I need to get the veggies cooked and put up so I can have them the rest of the week. I also cleared out the entry way. So progress is being made but not omg your house looks so much better progress. I just keep at it but I am decluttering too so hopefully it will get easier and easier eventually (key word eventually).

I have no idea of time right now, i can't believe its a Tuesday it feels like the weekend. I did a few things to make the place more livable Vacuumed for 10 minutes wiped up the counters one load of laundry done and DH emptied the machine and carried it all upstairs for me DH got the mail sprayed some bleach in the small bathroom and quick cleaned Filled one sink with dishes
Just wish i could get my body clock to make sense of time and days, i think its because of the holiday and my non normal schedule.

Social battery is well and truly drained
That is a great way of putting it, reve! And that's something that happens very quickly for introverts like me, we don't have much charge in that battery to begin with.
Funny you mention slipping on the wet grass, I did kind of slip last night on a muddy patch and thought, that's all I need with my various aches and pains, to fall and make them hurt more! I discovered that it actually DID rain overnight because I did find some water in the bucket on the upper back porch--I mustn't have looked at the yard rain bucket today, just yesterday. That actually makes me feel better, I was picturing some kind of gigantic water main leak or something that was seeping up into our yards, the lawn really was saturated.
It's almost time to make dinner.

Oust, I'm mixed up because of the holiday too, today felt like a weekend to me also.
So progress is being made but not omg your house looks so much better progress.
Ugh, that's how I'm doing too TML! I had hoped to get a lot more done today. Tomorrow I'm home all day and I will need to think of some kind of game that will keep me working all day. Maybe listing categories and doing things from each of them, in between doing something fun. Or rolling the dice to tell me how many things to do. I don't want another week to zip by without showing major progress.

So at the library today, one of the books I took out was a young adult novel entitled "Every Time You Go Away." Of course, every since then, I have had the song of the same name going through my mind. All day long, and I couldn't think of the singer. I knew he was from the 80s, I knew he didn't have a lot of other big hits, but the name escaped me until 2 minutes ago, when it popped into my head--Paul Young! Remember him? I love that song but haven't thought of it in so long. Now it will go through my head the entire time I have that book in the house.
How bad is it that it took me 9 whole hours to think of it?
It will soon be time to get ready for bed, good night everyone, see you tomorrow!

Congratulations, ohblondie ! Hope your Dad recovers quickly. so glad you had a peaceful Christmas, bree . I think about ( peaceseeker and several other SOoSers MIA) often.
I worked on the big doll restyling project. DVD and I watched Eddie Murphy's new Christmas movie. I liked it, he said he'd see it again. Once, . Need to find out if I can access the Hallmark movies.
Then he went to his mom's, so I: took meds
washed up and got dressed took ball back to the neighbor-kid (he's still missing one, apparently) put the clean dishes away rounded up and stacked the dirty dishes sorted the packaging detritus, recycling and trashing as needed put DVD's gifts in a bag put mine away washed the dishes heated up leftovers for dinner brought DVD a tray
put soapy water in the lasagna pan to soak
I'm feeling sleepy...

Good morning scholar!
I have been on the phone for over 2 hours trying to get regular channels put in.
Oh catcats, I sympathize. That's my fear of buying any new technology, even a simple DVD player for me current tv--dvd players aren't complicated but knowing how things go for me, I'm still afraid.
The dog was fine last night but I had 2 hours of being wide awake in the middle of the night. I slept an hour later this morning although I didn't mean to--I have so much I want to catch up on today.
