Good morning bree, thanks for starting the thread!
I tried to post earlier but the site seemed to be down for a while.
The dog slept well last night so I did too, but shortly after getting up this morning I had an ocular migraine which I haven't had for months. It didn't last long, so I've been alternating playing a 5 minutes computer game with doing 10 minutes of something productive. I will do a few lists before lunch, then hope to do some other kind of game this afternoon.
I did call my decluttering client even though it's Christmas, neither of us actually celebrate the day so she requested I call--she claims the daily calls help her a lot and I don't mind making them.
Happy Christmas Day!
Diane

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!
I am just having a leisurely morning -- benefit of having a teenager versus a toddler on Christmas morning!
I still have to wrap my presents, I purposefully left them for today.
I had a good productive Christmas Eve. I was a on quest to find vegan ricotta for my lasagne = it was sold out of my regular store, so yesterday morning I went to three stores and finally found it! big relief.
after that I went home and did cleaning -- vac'd living room, dining room, kitchen, stairs, hallway. mopped kitchen floor did some dusting moved some stuff to garage like a floor lamp that was displaced by xmas tree delegated several task to DD put new Christmas linens and centerpiece on dining room table put out clean animal blankets
all of this was done by 2pm as my sister was going to visit w her DD and beau ; DD lives out of town and I have not seen her for several years; never met beau.
I even baked an apple pie (which is for dinner today) so house would smell cozy; I am always worried it smells like the animals and I am used to it!
my niece had her dog with her; puppy was so excited! she was just thrilled and they had a little playtime
after that we went to mass. we go to a church for Christmas where my DB DSIL are the music directors and they do a great job. It is a smaller urban church versus my big suburban church. I like it there.
and then a last minute trip to Target! wasn't too bad. I just needed a few things
then I walked puppy - it was peaceful. I went to neighborhood streets instead of the town buildings as they would be deserted so I enjoyed the Christmas lights. It was so peaceful. And my regular church was packed for a later mass, so I liked to see full buildings with lights and cars in parking lot versus dark ones and empty lots.
then DD and I watched a Christmas movie and enjoyed the lights on the tree.
it was a good day ..
today is Christmas! I need to wrap and bake I am not sure what this day holds - people are sick ... trying to be mature about it all!!
so far fed animals re-potted a plant - thought of you Diane did dishes next: WRAP!! then: prepare food have a great day all

Yes, you did, a cute Christmas angel emoji!
Yum, apple pie--that is the only kind of pie that I like.
Next:

Anyone know how to care for a Christmas Cactus?
Yes! They are one of my very favorite plants, I have several! Although, full disclosure, I do occasionally lose one and I don't know why--I have one right now that is droopy and I'm caring for it exactly as I care for the ones that are thriving. I'm hoping to repot it to see if that helps. They can live for many, many years with the right conditions.
But, the most important thing to know about them is that although they are called cactus, they are a type of tropical cactus, not desert cactus--so, they need less direct light and more water than desert cactus--in nature they live in the rain forest! They like misting too. The soil they're in should be less rocky than desert cactus, although still have good drainage--if it's in a decent size pot and doing well it can stay in the pot it's in for now. A bright window is good but not hours of really hot sun.
And in case you don't know this, they're called Christmas cactus because they bloom around this time of year. They can also bloom other times of the year depending on the plant and the conditions, but most of the year they are not blooming, just interesting foliage. So when the flowers dry up and fall off, it's normal!

Next I'm going to feed the dog and take her out, and after that have lunch and a reading break.

Done: Vacuum living room Collect and dispose of wrapping paper Empty dishwasher Excess stuff on coat rack taken upstairs Change air freshener for Christmas scent Lawnmower and strimmer put outside Stacked and ran dishwasher Leftovers combined, covered and fridged
Merry Christmas everyone! Slightly despairing at the state of my spare room where we have chucked everything to make downstairs guest ready, but we will get it sorted again. Pleased that my gifts have been fairly light on the tack and tchotchkes this year, so I don't feel the need to immediately start a donation bag, but feel horribly guilty for doing so. (We are seeing more family tomorrow, so it may come yet!)

Hi reve, you're right, there will time to deal with the spare room later, you got so much done during the last few days!
I just spent another while on all the documentation for the items I bought for my shopping friend, she wanted them divided so she can pay half of it now and half later, and I realized I forgot to include some stamp purchases so I had to go back in the USPS records to find the orders, luckily they were all itemized there. I think I'm done with this project for now.
It's time to feed the dog again and hopefully take her out.
