Hey scholar and reve!
I made progress on my decluttering today but I'm still not at baseline, but that's okay, there's always tomorrow.
Good night everyone, see you in the morning!

I left work and stopped at Ocean State job lot where I grabbed a calendar for my mom. We usually get so many freebies in the mail, a calendar is a non issue. This year we got none. I guess colleges and organizations are cutting back on those. I found a perfect one for her and it was only $1. I found myself wandering through the store and wanting sweatpants and shirts for my son etc. I put everything back except for the mixed nuts for DH.
I went to see my dad - 1st time in 14 days. I fed him dinner but made him feed himself his ice cream. Went to my mom's and got a few things done there. DS and his GF and her DD came over and we had a quick but lovely visit.
We accepted an offer on the house. too low but it is over and done. Now I have 30 days to get the garage empty. And we are headed into a snowy and rainy weekend then a cold spell.
I am trying to do something in my house every night. Tonight I gathered up shirts and OCD folded them neatly and into the drawer. Now all four drawers are neatly folded. I can see at a glance where everything is. Most all hanging clothes are hung. I found some short sleeve tshirts to put away. they are organized by color so it is easy to grab what I am looking for.
I also tossed a load of laundry in the washer. My son picked up his clean clothes. I found a huge pile of socks in his room and DH and I went through and matched the good ones and tossed the socks with holes. DS took those with him tonight. along with the hangars I bought him. when we buy him socks we get large packages of the same socks so if one goes bad - it will match with others.
Tomorrow is work from home - hurray.
And I just realized it is time for bed. I will get a bottle of water and crawl under the covers.

@mylittlescholar---I think it is indeed natural, as you say, to have a slowdown after Christmas. It is such a busy time leading up to and going through that season !! And you do so much extra, with the artistic things that you do !! Plus you entertain a lot too. So take it a little easy and if it isn't all put away , it will keep !! Just hate to see you get so tired when you are dealing with long Covid, etc. Be careful !

thursday - technical issues delayed the start to my day. Now playing catchup
I have a meeting tonight so I will need to shower at some point in the day
A friend of the family is visiting my mom monday so my goal is to get several bags of clothing and stuff over to my mom's for this friend to take to a local charity shop. So happy to see it go. this was the low hanging fruit that I easily pulled together - the decisions are getting tougher
I also plan on tackling dishes today. Tonight is garbage night so I need to gather up recycling. We dont generate a lot of garbage as we recycle so much and try to be conscious about how we get rid of things.
OK - back at it

Good morning womble! I'm so sorry about the dog having a UTI, I know how uncomfortable they can be and how worrisome it is to watch. I hope the vet can give her some relief.
We accepted an offer on the house.
Wow ohblondie, that's great! I think you're wise to accept so that you'll be able to move on, that house has to be a thorn in your side by this time.
I had decent sleep, and the dog wanted to go out already, which is unusual. She's been having more trouble with her back legs the last few days although it varies over the course of the day.
Now the weather forecast says we will definitely get snow tomorrow, and that it will start overnight tonight, which is earlier than they said before. Five to ten inches, depending on where the heaviest band falls, and I would be very excited about it if it wasn't going to be followed by an entire week of very cold temps. I will need to do immediate and constant shoveling in the back, including areas of the lawn, so the dog has some place to go out and so that anything on the porches and sidewalks doesn't freeze solid and make it impossible to walk. So, I'm only moderately excited...
Today I would like to focus on some of my challenge goals since I didn't do anything for the challenge since Monday.

Thank you Diane, I was at the vets 2.5 hours. So glad I took the sample as It escalated quickly from a stubborn UTI to they thought maybe bladder cancer. After an anxious wait while they scanned her they found 3 good sized bladder stones, no cancer so they are operating in the morning. If only our NHS was as efficient .
That is a lot of snow due, stay safe
Pleased for you about the house sale Ohblondie xx

Oh womble, your poor dog, good thing you brought her back to the vet. Yes, vets can be very efficient these days, and of course, very expensive too--but good that they found stones instead of cancer. Let us know how she does!
TO DO:
Call decluttering client 10 minutes on old paper Restock water in fridge
Delete 10 hard emails

Diane, be careful with all the shoveling and taking your sweet old girl outside in the snow!
womble I am so glad to hear your dog *only* has bladder stones. SO painful but a much better outcome than cancer! Prayers for her operation!
