Good morning womble!
Thanks for starting the week off, lennon!
I had better sleep again last night, so hopefully it's settling down.
It will be 70 again, but then storms overnight and the temp will drop back to where it usually is this time of year for the next week. Today I plant my first indoor seeds, then have lots of houseplant catching up to do.

I seem to be so busy that I am missing the weekend thread.
Went to a memorial service yesterday and good thing I did. I saw my hairdresser and his family. The appointment I thought I had wednesday is today! It is his fault as he enters all of my appointments into my phone for me and he entered the wrong date.
Over the weekend I washed and dried and delivered (put away) my dad's clean clothes Saturday I brought my mom to visit my dad - they doze off holding hands. I went back on sunday and fed him his lunch
We went to see Wonka - cute movie.
I had hoped to work on emptying the car but the weather did not cooperate and it rained most of the weekend
I continued baby stepping my way through my mess. I have random bags and boxes with the most random stuff. Sometimes these bags and boxes only have one or two items in them. I grabbed and emptied a couple of them. It isnt making a huge difference but things are getting put where they belong.
OK - time to put son's jeans in the dryer and run a load on MY clothes for a change!

Good morning ohblondie!
they doze off holding hands.
Oh, it seems so wrong that they can't figure out how to have facilities that let people remain together even if they have different care needs.
Next:
10 minutes on seedlings
Start dishes soaking Check movie schedule and set DVR Delete 10 hard emails

Hi everyone!
Yesterday I was worn out and after I walked the puppy I crashed.
Today I am still so tired and highly anxious
At work but productivity low.
I am going on a business trip shortly
DIANE would like your perspective. Is a kennel or at home best? The person watching the cats can also watch the dog but it would not be an overnight. Puppy is very social but this would be for six days and seems long to be in a kennel. Very unsure if what is best. Best for me is in home but what is best for puppy? It is a mom daughter duo. Daughter is young teen and would play w puppy. Help! Anyone can chime in

Hi bree! I always think home is best, assuming the caregivers at home are extremely trustworthy. You have a yard with a good fence, right? If you trust the caregivers to either keep the dog in the yard at all times, or only walk her when the adult is on the other end of the leash (you'd be surprised how many problems I've heard of caused by kids and teens walking dogs they couldn't control) and the adult has experience handling strong energetic dogs, then I would say at home. If they accidentally let her our of your yard or house, would she run off? Or would she come back into the yard if they called her back? You'd also be surprised how many people leave gates open or open doors without noticing that an animal is ready to run out.
But of course, kennels are not fool proof either, so I would make the decision by how much you trust the caregivers, and how much time they can spend with her. Is the kennel the same place she goes for daycare? Would she be able to play with other dogs? If not, or if only a little bit, home is better for sure.
I don't have a simple answer, I guess, it depends on circumstances. Good luck making a decision, it's always hard to leave animals (or kids) with caregivers.

Good afternoon oust!
Now I'm going to do my half hour in the yard. While out there, I'm going to turn one of the rain barrels over to catch the rain today. I'm getting low on inside plant water, and although the next week will be colder it doesn't look like any freezing temps, or if there will be, they will be several days away which gives me time to empty the barrel.

Good afternoon scholar!
It's much cooler out than yesterday, and it does feel like rain. I cut down the tops of some plants in the back part of the yard, and then worked on the middle plot that had zinnias and black eyed susans last year. The zinnias are annuals but they have hollow stems, so I cut a bunch of the stems and put them aside for now, eventually I'll bind them together and figure out a way to keep them upright. I have more chicken wire in the basement, if I can make another circle with it and fasten it to the fence so it doesn't fall down that would hold some stalks upright. I also turned one of the barrels right side up.
Now I'm going to do one more thing, clean out the seed pool before it starts raining. Then I will stop for a long lunch/movie break.
