Good morning!
I didn't sleep as well as the night before, but did okay--I think I slept for 5 hours straight in the second half of the night. It's good when I'm vague about times, it means I was sleepy--when I can say exact times it means I was wide awake and seeing the bedside clock all night!
The forecast says rain on and off all day, yesterday they said half an inch, today they say an inch and a half--I think I'll just leave the rain barrel alone and wrap the spout for the night or two that dips below freezing, it should be okay. Now I'll just have to worry about the roof.
I ordered a new microwave and it's coming tomorrow.
Happy Friday!

I don't see any water in the storage area, but the chimney is right there and I hear rain falling down the chimney--there's a cap, which I know stops animals from getting in, but shouldn't it stop rain too? We have light drizzle now--since it's going to rain on and off all day I'm hoping that means light rain instead of a downpour.

Wow, I just realized something amazing--I went to order water filters from Amazon and looked up my last order to see what I paid, and I see that I only used 5 filters in the year I've had this pitcher. When I first looked into this pitcher I saw that the filters were kind of expensive, but thought it would still offset the cost of the water--well, I use the filters a little longer than they say because I go by water taste, not the number on the tester they include. I had to do the math and figure this out--averaging how many bottles I typically use in a year--and even taking out the one bottle per night that I still bought last summer since it seemed like once the water got warm I could taste a difference--then subtracting the cost of the filters--I still saved over $200 on water during the past year. And that doesn't even take into account the effort it would have taken to carry home that much water in my shopping cart. Plus the worry about running out of water if I couldn't get to the store. This pitcher was a very good buy!

Okay, I just realized something else--I miscalculated because I was thinking I used 5 filters in the year--I actually used only 4 filters because I still have one left from the box of 4 I bought. (One filter came with the new pitcher.)

I'm eating lunch now and looking up a few plants to make sure I'm not missing something that I wanted to add to the yard this year.

So, when looking at planting instructions to know how early to start seeds, I started the salvia first because instructions said start 10-12 weeks before last frost, and that it takes salvia seeds 7-21 days to germinate. Well, last night when I looked at the trays before turning out the light, I could see the first saliva popping out of the seeds--after 3 days! You're supposed to just lay them on the top and push lightly down into the soil because they need light to germinate, so I could still see the seeds--and several of them were opening up already. I can't remember how they grew from last year, if they grow as quickly as they germinated they will be way too big by May.

good mor--afternoon, everypony!
it seems that "leaky" barrier between blood and brain causes brainfog in Long COVID (and probably CF, etc). glad for the clarity, but now for the help!
I used my new CPAP for the first time last night. It was more comfortable than I expected it to be. I am excited. can't wait to feel the improvement. right now I just want to go back to bed. Which I might do. LD texted she won't get here until 8:00 pm. DVD says the later she plans to come, the more likely it will be the next day.
point is, I'm feeling less inclined to push myself.
I do need to get to the bank and my folks. decided on aiming for 3:00 after debriefing w/ DVD. I also want to glue down the page I am working on as it is on top of the guest bed. Maybe I could manage that right quick? also promised a BFF in Arkansas that I would call her today. Maybe multitask?
DONE: morning stuff yadda yadda

Good afternoon scholar! I'm glad you think you'll like your CPAP, I know some of them are uncomfortable.
I got another 90 minutes call from my shopping friend, she is really back to normal, she wanted to talk about the State of the Union speech. It's been months since she wanted to talk politics!
Next I'm going to do a procrastinated task. Since I'm changing my water filter I'm going to do a thorough scrub of everything, water pitcher, plus my 3 permanent water bottles.

I will now put the pitcher back together with the new filter. I went out earlier to wipe down some porch railings since it's been drizzling all day, I should have done more out there but now it's getting dark. And, almost time for dinner.

I am late checking in
The leftovers from the freezer did not sit well. It was eggplant too! My fave. So I called in sick this am and spent the morning in bed I snuck out at noon to go to a multi cultural Fair at the HS I came home and rested I went back out to get gas and run an errand including the dollar store. I got some groceries there Came home and ate an egg sandwich and rested
Got up and moving and I started the dishwasher, hand washed my mugs and lids. Pulled together some plastic containers to go back to work. Made something for dinner, ran a load of laundry once the dishwasher stopped, folded some laundry, pulled a few items out of a bin and put them where they belong.and I prepped the coffee for the an
I know this is extreme baby steps, pulling out a few items at a time. But they are getting put away where they belong! And this is big for me.
I need to clear out the pile in front of the linen closet to get linens put away. I keep purging that closet and I need to do it again.
I also need to reorganize my one kitchen cabinet. Not sure if that will be this weekend.
Ok. Time to get DH dinner in the oven
