angela, it is true I have to find a place for them. So here are mine: 2 books (already on a shelf) a box of tea candles veil curtains (already hanging on a window) a handbag (I gave away 3 other before Christmas, so it also has its place) a face cream (just in time, I run out of it one day before Chrismas) box of chocolates (Lindor caramel, yummy) 3 bags of dried cranberries a jar of coffee and a coffee mug (a set)

Mine are a drill bit set (it will fit behind the seat in the truck) a tool caddy (for the truck) a new sheet set (put away in a drawer until spring) a new sweatshirt (put away) an antique carnival glass fluted ice cream dish (currently on the table, I haven't found a place for it and it makes me smile just to look at it)

Yay I got a new really big standing cage for my bird I had been pricing them online and couldn't bring myself to spend $300! Today I was browsing Craigslist for no reason at all and found several for sale right here in town. So I called right away and turns out it's my neighbor from two houses down! So I ran over and had it home in less than 15 mins! $130 for a $300 cage.

One puppy collar with bell so I can keep track of her. She's mostly black and hard to see when I take her out after dark. 3 bird perches and 2 feed bowls to go In new cage. One 40 lb bag kitty litter to replace the bag I left in petsmart parking lot last week. At least I was able to use the $5 off coupon today that they gave me last week with my purchase. 3 new pairs of stronger cheaters , my near vision has gotten much worse over past couple months

lucie, I'm counting Christmas gifts as acquisition for myself since it's stuff I'm choosing to allow into the house. cleanbee so sorry about your loveseat. I have used the double sided sticky things and they do seem to help. I got them at PetSmart and they are pretty cheap. Thanks for the tip angela. I meant to look for some today at petsmart but forgot. Next time.

I got shower gel and fifty bucks from parents,a beautiful picture of my daughter with her hair done...yippee,a CD from my son, perfume set from friend.
Will be going thru daughter's room to sort thru toys when I have gotten on track with new baby in house. We are going to work on project to build some sets for her dolls. She wants to build a doll's toy store. We got some miniature dolls for merchandise. We are going to create it. Father is bringing her a computer so we have to rearrange her room again. A second goal is to get rid of some toys. My goal not hers but I will try to have her streamline. She got dolls,Target card, Shopkins miniatures, a dress and a brother for Christmas. Brother got an iPod shuffle,Ninja turtles,a card to load music, and some other things.
We have homes for it all.

My bird is now spending most of the day hanging around the bottom foraging for seed and gravel and at night when I cover the cage she goes all the way to the top to roost on her swing. Awwwww I think this is Much more natural behavior that what she did in her smaller cage, which was basically to sit in her food bowl or nest 24 hrs a day!

Lostchild, the toys I played with the most as a child were little habitats for miniature people! It started after I read The Borrowers, I would build rooms for them in shoeboxes. A miniature toy store sounds like a lot of fun.
Cleanbee, what kind of bird do you have?

She is. And quite tame. I don't let her free in the house because of the cat and dogs but she will perch on my finger and doesn't seem to mind too much being handled. She coos a LOT and lays lots of eggs. I'm hoping that with the new cage she'll spend less time nesting; the vet said she might be underweight because of all the energy she puts into laying eggs.
