Diane are doing great with the blinds and working on your stretching. Flotsam good going donating another book. Catcat you have been busy working in the garden especially with weeding. Don't overdo it as it can be hard work. I've got some of the dishes washed and most of the table cleared off. Not as much done as I would like but it is a start. Dh is going away for a week on a motorcycle trip so I am getting stuff ready for him. If I didn't help him he would be without something important.. Hopefully I remember everything.

I have not disappearde, ya know? I am just scared to weight myself. But my trousers still fit, so I am trying not to think about it. I will do it before the end of this challenge, I promise.

I'm about 90% done with the garage area. I had unpacked all the boxes about 3-4 weeks ago and just dumped stuff on the counter and floor. All I did was make room for my shipment if it arrived while I was gone. Yesterday, I sorted through all of that stuff and assigned it homes and I ACTUALLY LABELED THE CABINETS AND DRAWERS. On my way to work, I took a full trunk and backseat of donations. It was my first drop off since we moved here and it was so easy - why did I wait! Just drive up - they meet your car with a big bin - unload it all - hand you a receipt and you are on your way. Dropping off another load today and then all the donations are out of the garage. The only think left to do in the garage storage area is to place some things high up and I really want someone around when I'm climbing on ladders. One more bin of paper to go to recycling. And need to get one more cubby system for holding little things like nails and screws. Right now it is all contained in plastic bags. Found my dad's knife that he used to wear on a pouch around his belt (also had the pouch). It is almost like he left it there for me the last time he visited. He always carried it with him. And, thanks to Dad, I found almost everything I need to start hanging pictures, shelves, etc. including the stud finder Good luck everyone!! PC

DD & SIL came and painted my kitchen today. It looks lovely! So clean and fresh. They painted walls, cabinets and trim. Now the back door looks dingy and the ceiling looks awful. It looks as though there is more work to do before I start bringing small things and two shelf units back in. Sigh!

I started finally with goal #2 and worked about half an hour on taxes. To start is the difficult part for me, but then it often goes quite well. I hope to finish tomorrow.

I have not been on for awhile. I made my four medical appts for the family. Two are actually done! Have not weeded yet - some excuse is that when I am free the weather is not cooperating. The lawyer never returned my calls so I think I need to find a new one! Have to get to the other goals yet....

Yesterday I tackled the ceiling. There are three spots where the paint is peeling and as soon as the sheetrock mud hit it there was an immediate yellow stain. I did the whole ceiling except for those three spots. Today I bought a quart of Kilz to go over those spots before I try again.

Hello everyone, I stopped posting because, OF COURSE, I stopped my stretching exercise. I had 4 busy work days and low energy lately and I just...stopped. But, I just did them again today and since it's June 1st I'll consider it a new start and try again.
We're half way through the challenge, time is flying again. I hope that one day this week will work for moving the heavy cabinet and tackling the last set of blinds in the sunporch. I'm not quite sure what to do about the repairs, I really need a ride to a large hardware store or else I won't be able to get what I need--and I can't do that until the opportunity arises. I've still done nothing at all on books.
Even my clothing goal, which was going well, has stalled, I think I DO need to buy and sew another pair of jeans soon. And still need to finish taking in my other scrub shirt sleeves.
I hope everyone else is doing well--ima, painting the kitchen is huge! I'll bet it looks great.

Not doing very well with my goal. When we started this challenge, I weighted 67,5 kilos. Now, nearly two month later, I am on 68,4. My goal was to reach 65 by the end of this month. OK, I will be lucky if get back to 67.

Added three boxes to my ticker. Have a lot of linens to wash - about 30% I would consider "delicate". Donating a small pile (so far). In regards to stuff left from the original move (7 months ago!) - I have memorabilia boxes in basement to move from cardboard to plastic. I have 3 bins of stuff in the other bedroom that needs to be unpacked. And, I need to start hanging things on the wall. I'm hoping to finish the bins and boxes this week. I would like to use next weekend for hanging things. We'll see - good luck everyone!!

I love how we all keep on keeping on, not giving up, two forward, one back, sometimes more back than forward but not giving up. Good job, everyone.
I think I am closer to getting the barn cleaned out, goal #2. The couple who were going to help me have apparently bailed but out of the blue another couple offered but since I barely know them I am hesitant. My bff thinks I'm still not being wary enough. There is a man that I know well who would be perfect. He has a regular job, though, and it might be too much to ask. Couple #2 have full time jobs, too, though. I will call him this evening after I have checked into dumpsters.
Yep, I have decided to rent a dumpster! This is another huge step. With a dumpster, a strong man to help and some ruthless purging, I'm thinking the worst of it could be done over a weekend. The last time I called Waste Management their charges were exorbitant but now that I'm doing better I did some googling and found a couple of other companies to check with. I will do that this morning. I'm not as worried about money now as I was back then so now the dumpster is a real option and would, I know, make the project much easier.
Still, I can barely breathe at the thought of all this but that's the way I felt about the new garage door opener and I survived that. In fact, it was one of the guys who did the install, the nice one, who contacted me with the offer of help. He would like some of the lumber that appears to be in there at the back. At least he's already seen it. I'll post again when I know more.
Edit: Called around and found the dumpster company that I want to use. Bin There Dump That, haha. Very professional with a sense of humor to boot. Now to see if I can talk G into helping me. Best case scenario, we could get most, maybe all, done the weekend of the 21st. I would have the dumpster for 7 days so if there's any room after the barn I could see what I can get out of the house by myself. I need G to come over and see what size we need. He lives about 15 miles away but I don't think I can figure it out without him. I'm still not ready to let anyone into the house.

i just found this thread. It's June 9 but I think I will join in for the 3 weeks we have left! first of all - what @sparkle says - kudos to you all for keeping going - no matter what. I've never been too good in the accountability dept. - to myself or to others. and lucie - if you are exercising, you may be building muscle, which weighs more than fat! so you may weigh "more" while shrinking in inches - if that makes sense. Don't be discouraged; you can do it. (I need to join you, but not this week.) I am going to cheat with goal number 1 - my garden. I started that around May 1. it has been endless work work work. My goal will be to get the beds as weeded out as possible by June 30. My new garden "mates" took over half the inner beds: still, I had to dig stuff of mine out so they could prep the beds. clay/silt soil/hardpan. Lots and lots of work. Plus, I have all the periphery beds still. slugs, snails, and worst of all - voles. I have worked there almost every other day since May 1 - besides my garden jobs - sometimes I have done marathon days of 8 hrs or more. Darn near killed myself but am finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel. I have most of my dahlias planted. I am trying to get my collection down from 58 to about 30. So hard - I love them all. Right now I have 34 planted. The rest are still in my storage unit. Debating on what to do about those. I sold quite a few tubers - had sales 3 weekends ina row. So have been very busy. I also gave away a couple hundreds of dollars worth of plants I dug and potted - my friend has a lot of land. He also has a lot of composted manure, so he will give me some of that as often as I ask - that is worth more than gold! i had no money to buy "amendments" - I LOVE it when good trades work out for all! Goal number two is to continue on desqualoring of the storage units and home. I have done nothing on those since inspection, but with the dahlia tubs leaving the large storage unit very soon, I have hope that there will be a place to move and then a staging area for sorting. I still dream of using it for a summer studio but i have lots to get OUT of there for that to happen. I also have a 2nd small unit - chock full. These will be my rest-of summer goals and will continue throughout summer and into fall. My immediate June goals will be to get all excess summer clothes out of here - consigned or put into freeboxes on the street. My third goal was to do some creative work. I had booked 2 art shows at two banks for this summer - for July and for August. Last year I pulled a rabbit out of a hat, combining old with new works. This year I have no rabbit. July will have to go - maybe August too! It hurts me to type this. I will call the bank now and relieve myself of this burden. ETA - I called the first bank - the one I thought was for July. I have August in that bank, so am keeping that. there will be time to make a few new works and finish up some others in progress. I have a voice mail in to the 2nd bank - that is probably the one I need to cancel. I am bummed but will do what I need to do in order to attend to the other important things I need to get done.

Don't despair Creative Chaos - Diane has been rebooting this every two months and she has promised me to keep going until 2020 so I have a chance at working on my memorabilia bins My same goals have trickled into the third reboot (so far!).

14 boxes unpacked last night - updated my ticker. Not quite as impressive as it sounds because it was mostly memorabilia and I transferred from cardboard to plastic bins. About 25% though was actually unpacked onto shelves and into cupboards.
Next week I'm changing my unpacking ticker to my memorabilia ticker which will sit there until the end of time.

14 boxes! That's huge, phoenixcat! Glad you could get some of it onto shelves and into cupboards. The barn cleanout is set for the weekend of the 20th. The person I wanted said yes. I have till the end of the week to decide what size to order. I emailed man last night asking for his advice. I am a bundle of nerves no matter what anyone says. Today I have a hangover, probably from stress. It definitely isn't alcohol though I might open a bottle of wine tonight ...
