Good morning ohblondie-- I was so used to seeing the mess I never said the clutter. Does that make sense?YES! Keep going into your uncluttered kitchen and LOOK at it. That imprints it into your brain and then when something is out of place you notice! That was a new experience for me too--that was the key to getting things uncluttered--remember how they look at whatever stage you're at, then every night try to get things back to that state. When there's stuff everywhere, your mind doesn't register a few new things. But when it's uncluttered that item left out on the counter is screaming to be put away! I PEEPed everywhere, the place looks pretty good right now, hopefully this afternoon when I come home from work I'll finally start washing dishes. Diane

I got off to a great start, the good cloud cover meant it was cool with a light breeze so I worked away for a solid 90 minutes, raking, bagging and gathering up yard waste. I then got out the walk behind mower to go over some of the back yard so that it makes it easy to find all the poop when I do poop patrol. That's especially important because one of the new girls does eat it and I don't want her doing that.
I stopped only because I needed a short break to pee, grab a cold drink and have a smoke. I was just a couple of steps away from the solid surface of the patio when I stepped in a small dip, probably a hole created when I dug out some thistle. If I'd had on my heavy duty leather hiking/work boots the twist to my ankle probably would not have been as bad. I hobbled in to the house, grabbed some ice and sat down in front of my computer. I started to take 3 Advil and decided that might be too many on an empty stomach so grabbed a banana and ate that first, then took just 1 pill. After a few minutes I got up again and fixed some toast with peanut butter to put more in my tummy so I could take a couple more pills.
I am really bummed out about this because I was doing so well and am still feeling energetic, but I am limping pretty badly and so all I should do outside at this point is to get the mower put away before tomorrows rain comes. Then I have to figure out some simple tasks that don't require much standing. I am sure there are some, I just hadn't planned on being somewhat incapacitated.
I'll be back later to let you know what creative idea(s) I came up with to do without being on my feet.

ohblondie DH started out sleeping with the pillow but ended up changing back to his old pillow during the night at some point. He is such a creature of no I am not going to change. After he left to go crabbing this am at about 5:00 I slept with the pillow and I loved it. Guess I have a new pillow. The review that I have read have been good it is expensive through. I bought myself the kids the 90.00 pillows that were on clearance for 49.00 and we loved them --- of course this is one night post new pillows. Ok I woke up late today DS, DD and I watched TV together until about 2:30 so it is all good. DH and DS left and went crabbing. DD and I had to head to town to meet another mother and daughter for coffee to plan a up and coming 5K, as usually the other mother canceled. I had told another mother that I would meet them in town to pick up jumedrive with band pics so I could make an iMovie to show at the bands awards Tuesday night so I still had to go to town. DD and I picked up a few groceries then I dropped DD off at dads for hotdogs and hamburgers. (I will go once a get a few things done at home) Spent some time getting audio together for iMovie. Some Facebook time and now to do some things that need to be done before going to dads. 1) Turkey to roaster 2) Load to wash 3) Unload and reload

Back - mmmmmm turkey RoadRunner Have fun at your Dad's I am slow but at least trying. I went to exercise training this morning at 9 AM. So far at the house I have tossed out 5 bags of trash, put up my medicine and make up, and am working on laundry (2 loads going so far). For laundry right now I have one in dryer and one in washer. Normally my grand plan was to pick all the laundry up, then sort it all, then wash/dry it all, then fold it all, then put it all up. Well that has totally gone pear shaped in the past and I can't think of one time it has worked. I usually end up with Mt fold me and any clothes sorted on my bed get tossed off once it is time for bed time on to the floor thus usually needing sorting again. So today I am trying something different. I am picking up clothes and sorting on the fly to go into the washer. Then I am drying. I am going to try to fold the clothes and put them up after drying one load at a time. I think it is the omg of mt fold me that send me running. But I will not know until I try something different. My next stop is laying down for 15 min.

TML folding and putting away have always been my Achilles Heel of laundry, until about a year or so ago. I put a baby changing table in my laundry room I fold and stack by family member on the top part then one day a week I put away. If someone needs somthing they know were to go and get it. For the most part I am fairly consistent ie sometimes it is mt fold more but it is all in one place and I only see it when I go into the utility room. Thanks for the well wishes...not an fan of going to dads but I do for him, it was good some old same old just a different day. Update on progress hummmm...not much. One the way out to dads I miss stepped as I was leaving and feel face forward on the cement. Macbook went flying out of my hands luckily it is ok. Scraped and bruised knees, strained arms and bruised wrist/palm becaused I tried to catch myself with my hands. I think I fractured my big toe on the right-side. Swollen black and blue and I can feel a very specific pain when I apply pressure. Sigh I was going to start working out today really I was. Anyway lunch at dads is done. Worked on iMovie for band awards. Load to wash. Brought turkey cook in from garage. Gee I really need to pick up the pace, but not sure that I will. Will have to try working 15 mins on 15 mins off maybe that will put some fire under me.

I hope you get to feeling better post the fall. Do you need to get the potentially fractured toe looked at medically?
My problem with mt fold me is I have kitty who likes to make it Mt cat bed and my houseclearner who while trying to help keeps tossing dirty clothes in the pile. So right now I am rewashing the remains of Mt fold me and trying to fold each load as I go. Not sure how it is working since I am dealing with my first load to fold and it is sitting in basket looking at me.
So I am going to take 10 min break then fold that load and take the trash bags out to the cans. Right now kitty seriously wants petted so that is my job for the next 10 min.

TML YAY for kitty time Check book balanced YAY feeling a bit accomplished. Not sure about toe I do not want to spend the money. I can not wear closed toe shoes for sure but it is sandal - flipflop season. I have some very hard-sole sandals that I can wear, maybe that will work.

Oh no! Two injured SOSers in one afternoon! Calypso and roadrunner--hope you are both okay.
TML, how is the new laundry plan working? Do you have enough room to put the laundry away when it's folded? Or is that what stops you from folding?
I spent a long time with my senior client today, sorting things out in her kitchen, and when I left it had gotten hot and I still had to walk to the grocery store. So, when I got home, I did another long rest session on the couch. I'm not sure when I'm going to get things done, if my half day of work is going to tire me out so badly....I'm actually thinking about bedtime now, I'm so tired.
But, I will not go to bed at 6pm, I like early bedtimes, but not quite that early. I will commit to at least washing my utensils tonight, and maybe leave the rest of the dishes until tomorrow. I started a little book project this morning also, and I'd like to finish that. Maybe some loud music to wake me up??

Hope RoadRunner and calypso get to feeling better soon!!! Hi Diane - I am not sure about the laundry my closet where it goes is a bit of a mess. So I am straightening up where I need to put stuff (baby steps). I also cleared out a drawer in my sink vanity so I can put wash clothes there. I also got all of the trash bags sitting in the garage out into the garbage cans for their Wednesday pick up. They have been languishing since I was out of town and then the house cleaner was out of town. I did not throw any food stuff out in them so at least they did not stink. I am on session 6 with the personal trainer and I am starting to see a difference in my strength and endurance. He has me doing leg lefts with leg weights on and said that in the next couple of weeks I would be doing them with two weights on each leg. Right now it is a strain with just one weight. So tonight I was able to wheel the big trash can into the garage, fill it, and then wheel it out again to its spot. I also brought in another trash can so I can just fill it from the steps and then wheel it out. Go Go Go Diane!!! So the dryer is almost ready to spit out the next load for me to fold. I just need to do it and put it up. It makes me feel better to have the clothes put up so I am not digging through a pile of clothes to find something to wear and it keeps me from losing it (which I haven't on the outside but I have on the inside) when I walk over and see dirty clothes tossed on all my clean clothes so I have to sort them off.

Oh, and kitty is feeling better. In his litter box are now big tootsie roll sized poops and no huge noticeable smell with the filters and cat fresh and etc. He was doing liquid when he was sick and it smelled like a zombie elephant had died up his rear and liquefied.

After I got the mower put away I hobbled my way up the steps to the back porch and there was a sit down project before I even got in the house. A couple of days ago I clipped a huge bunch of giant leaves from some weed or other. Since they don't have seeds I can put them in the compost bins and the wee beasties gobble them up. But I have to shred them up into smaller pieces so I sat and tore them apart, kinda like tearing spinach leaves for a salad. That took me about 45 minutes.
When I finished I came back in the house and realized that what would be most beneficial to my ankle would be to try and stay off it as much as possible so I gave myself permission to spend the rest of the day in the recliner, ankle propped up on a pillow, great book in my lap. I continued to ice it on and off and will take a little more Advil before bed but it is already feeling much better. So taking care of myself was the right choice, as opposed to forcing myself to carry on and not giving my body a chance to heal itself.
I expect to be back in the game tomorrow and while I won't run a marathon or throw on a 40 pound pack and hike up a mountain I should be able to get in a good days work.
Roadrunner - I hope that you are soon back on your feet and feeling good to.
Thanks to all for this great work along weekend.
