HI cando It is perfectly good that you are doing read-back amnesty. The important part is to get to doing! I just did another load of trash and I need to get another load of laundry into the washer. I also dosed kitty with one of his meds (the one I normally have to chase him around the house with). Yay tnmimi

Okay, I'm checking in one last time--I did a "musical tasks" thread all evening and got an amazing amount done, considering how I felt when I started it. I did more than half my dishes, I PEEPed all but the second bedroom so the apartment looks neat and uncluttered, and even dusted 3 rooms, a job I've been putting off for a few days now. Cando, you certainly do have amnesty on reading 5 pages of posts! Do you have to work tomorrow? If so, don't stay up too late! Thanks to everyone who posted here, it's so much better to have company when working. I hope everyone staying up (and those just getting up) get a lot done--see you tomorrow! Diane

Last call for the night. I did one more load of laundry. Cleaned a cat box. Killed two flies that got into house when I was taking out trash.
Fed kitty and gave him last med in food. He is laying on his pillow looking sweet with big smile on his face.
Self care completed and ready for bed - woo hoo
Diane what is the musical method you were using?

Oh my goodness - I check in to see how everyone did this weekend and what a list!
So sad to read about hte injuries but I hope everyone is on the mend.
Everyone was on a roll this weekend. It was overwhelming reading about all thjat got accomplished.
I woke up feeling rested and refreshed and I think most of it was because I DID get lots of thigs done around the house.
Yesterday I went to my aunts house and cleaned her porch and helped her get it all set up. Hubby used the shop vac to get the floor clean and he tightened up a plant stand. I wiped the framework and the baseboard and the door.
Went to my parents house and did a few things for them. In talking with them I discovered the plant stand was mine when I had my first apartment. I gave it to my mom when I moved and she used it for awhile then passed it along to my aunt. I gess we got our money's worth out of that little stand! I just hope it does NOT come back to me!!
We DID NOT go to the outlets. Hurray.
Came home and bundled up all of the branches from our massive yard work session. Hubby cut up the bigger parts of the branches (smaller trunks from a small tree) and we added that to the 4 or 5 lawn bags that were out front. Hopefully it will get picked up today.
I still have more mulch to spread - I will do that on Saturday. I offered up the extra mulch to a neighbor.
Kitchen still looks good. I swept the floor again! My daughter asked if we could keep the kitchen island cleared off. When I looked at it, the only items on it were hers (toothpaste, water bottle and something else) Hubby's tape measure was there and a big bouquet of flowers.
Some dishes got backed up and need to be done - I can knock those off when I get home tonight.
I did the ironing last night and got a couple of loads folded. Ironing board was promptly put away.
DD had a "friend" over last night. I heard voices and some guy was sitting out on the deck hanging out with her. I was happy because I want the deck to be a hnag out place. So I made certain the door to the LR was shut so if he came in to use the bathroom he would not see the mess.
I am taking pictures and once I get the laptop working - I will post.
Awesome sauce to everyone and ALL OF THE FREAKING WORK THAT GOT DONE THIS WEEKEND!!!! YEs, I am shouting from the rooftops because I am so proud of my SooS sibs!!

I was too tired to post but last night I dropped off a 13 gallon bag of yarn and small bag of embroidery floss at the thrift store. Most of the yarn was from an afghan project that I was saving. It made me sad thinking about the time when I started it. Very hard to let go of but I tried to remind myself of other things that brought back sad memories and when I finally let them go of them I did not regret it. If I want to do that project I can always buy the yarn again.
Really struggled with the "It's still good" last night.
All weekend I kept up with trash and quick bathroom clean ups.
Washed my sheets last night.

turkeyhill.I struggle with the same thoughts of "it's still good". But I remind myself that I get excited when I find something good at the thrift store. It is nice to be able to think that someone else will get excited about their awesome find! Also - we should not dump trash at the thrift store. They often get overwhelmed and cant spend all of their time dumping our trash. I TRY to only donate to the thrift store items that I would get excited about purchasing there. It is hard though - really hard when we see value in the items we drop off. But aren't we donating them to the thrift store so that they can get the value out of our item when they re-sell it? So we are really transferring the value of our item to the thrift store to help a good cause.
