I rummaged around in my entryway closet, which is where I put everything that I want to take to my sister. I came up with 2 full shopping bags of stuff for her, mostly books but some other things too. I rejected a handful of books that I don't think she'll like that much.

Good evening everypony!
I had a fabulous, very full, very fun, very exhausting day yesterday. I have more invites to social events, but I'ma need to pick and choose, so I don't lose the day afterwards. Although I won't be "on duty" for these. A whole lot of people pitch in for the monthly (this month's Dias de los Muertos-themed) gathering, and I have "graduated" to being in charge of more as I get the lay of the land.
DONE: slept! made coffee made ACV water checked online balance updated spreadsheet reviewed a lot of photos and sent and posted them uploaded a video and shared that too checked in w/ DPs, they have been able to visit my Godmother and Aunt
cut off the top of two milk cartons that were weird to take back to the grocery store discuss Costco haul w/ DXH (he just got home)

Home from work My post-dinner rest period has to end. I will set timer for one hour and just do chores.
Came home Cooked good dinner Watched news
Work was fine. I got my big-shot write up done I also requested some project specs, so got another project underway
My staff situation—I think person just did not want to do it, so tried to make it a little difficult. Think they disagreed so decided to question over and over -this person makes many things overly complicated and extra difficult in my view. Also likes to find reasons to be out of office a lot. Needs direction to stay on track. Does not always grasp business goal or need to Just. Get. It. Done.
So now I will go set timer and just get going!!

Hi Magda sounds like the whose got the monkey game we played in a management training class ages ago in the delegate section. To play you pair up and one plays boss and the other is person you are trying to delegate to. The boss starts out with stuffed monkey toy and tosses it to delegate with request. The delegate thinks of excuse and tosses it back. Boss clarifies request And tosses back. Rinse and repeat using same task working to get it delegated. The goal is when the timer goes off not to be stuck with monkey. Then you switch roles with new task - they said to use one nonconfidential you were working on in rl. After class we each got to keep monkey as reminder.

Good morning! Halloween is almost here! It's supposed to be rainy/freezing rainy on and off from today through Halloween, so I don't know how much it will affect trick-or-treaters. Makes a good creepy movie setting, though! I'm eating breakfast and updating my to-do list, I have mid-day walks today but don't need to go anywhere else. Diane

Good morning! Halloween is almost here! It's supposed to be rainy/freezing rainy on and off from today through Halloween, so I don't know how much it will affect trick-or-treaters. Makes a good creepy movie setting, though! Good morning Diane! If we stay home, we get a decent amount of trick-or-treaters. Our street is part of a loop, with another good-sized neighborhood down the street. This year we will go to my mom and step-dad's again. My sister's family comes so her son and the 2 of my kids that still go out, go together with the dads. We will take turns sitting out on the porch at mom's passing out candy to the kids. Her door is not one that is easy to run back and forth to as there is a hallway from either living or family room and a decent entry way. The big reason though is the dog. Her dog she had for several years was a barker at anyone knocking/ringing the bell but happy to see people. Her new dog we believe came from an abusive situation. He is a very nervous dog and gets confused. Once he is "comfortable" with a person visiting, he will cuddle up next to them and get loves. Then when he sees that same person in another room, the whole barking "you are a stranger! danger!" starts all over. He will be in their bedroom in the kennel for the night and they will try a little benedryl to help relax him. The evenings are busy here this week. Our 8th grader has 2 orchastra concerts this week back-to-back. Husband will take her to tonight's concert and I will stay home with the 2 non-concert-going children. Tomorrow she performs with another middle school at the high school concert. I will drop her off for their one and only practice together and pizza dinner. Then I will return with my mother for that concert and husband will take care of kids. Then of course Thursday is Halloween. At least that night I don't have to worry about dinner. Mom is doing u-bake pizzas and salad. I am thankful I did not agree to work this Friday. I worked the last 2 Fridays and will be happy to have 3 days off in a row this week ... Wed, Thurs and Fri. Got out of bed at 5:25 as the cats were playing loudly and I heard K talking in her bed, awake already. Well she scared the heck out of me! After coming out of the laundry room, I reached to turn on the bathroom light to give me some light to put away my recently folded towels and THERE SHE WAS! She was already up and in the bathroom waiting for me to start her bath. She's out of bed 2 hours early so it will probably be a rough day at school with a possible call to come get her. K bathed - hair washed & dressed K's bed stripped & made Load towels from dryer folded & put away Load darks started in wash Dishwasher unloaded & few dirties loaded Lunches packed Drink & snack for K - sent her to her room to chill. She doesn't need to leave for 2 hours. Cats & Fish fed

I love the monkey game! It sounds like K is getting in the spirit (along with the weather).
I am awake, but think I will nap as I a feeling a bit scratchy.
DONE: all manner of catch up on my various accountability lists coffee, water and meds

Oh definitely take a nap. Give your body the rest it needs and try to fight off whatever is coming.

Good morning Angie! Our neighborhood loves Halloween and there are a couple of streets that only have houses (as opposed to multi-unit buildings) and those have so many kids coming that lots of people just sit out on the porch, otherwise the doorbell would ring every 10 seconds. That has to be hard on any dog, let alone a nervous one.
Once he is "comfortable" with a person visiting, he will cuddle up next to them and get loves. Then when he sees that same person in another room, the whole barking "you are a stranger! danger!" starts all over.
Poor guy--it's so nice that he was adopted into an understanding home that will work with him.
TO DO:
Clean up from breakfast Scoop litter pans PEEP kitchen surfaces 10 minutes on books

mylittlescholar the monkey game is not so fun in real life at work. No cute stuffs animal- just work!! I actually dreamed about this person . Person came in my office and broke my recycling bin and made a mess of my office with all the papers. I think it was apt- this person wastes my time needlessly as person is not focused on the real work, so it is like messing up things that are to be recycled and are -already done. I have to really figure out the balance to keep person on track and focused without letting them suck up all my time with their lack of focus. Today is a good day. Awesome sun and blue sky and colors of fall foliage I slept nearly two hours more last night than Sunday night. That extra sleep is priceless. I also was a little early for work. Yahoo!! Did the usuals Fed cats Made bed Drove dd to school Packed lunch Showered and scrubbed:) Hung up some laundry to air dry Put breakfast dishes to soak Did a tiny tidy Off to work Now for me to stay focused and not immerse myself in recycled papers

Then when he sees that same person in another room, the whole barking "you are a stranger! danger!" starts all over.Poor guy--it's so nice that he was adopted into an understanding home that will work with him. It's going to take Norman (the new dog in the house) and my mom an equal amount of time I imagine to get comfortable with him with other people. Mom and her husband got Norman right around 4th of July -- only a week after Lucy passed. My mom wanted to wait until Fall after their cruise to Hawaii but my step-dad is a depressed mess without a dog in the house. So they adopted him. This is their 3rd rescue. Both other dogs died of old age/health issues. Norman is a smaller lab-mix. He is a cute little boy, maybe 4 years old. He is full of energy but definitely nervous. Hopefully he will come around with the rest of us, but I feel it will take a couple years. My mom tends to get worried about what the dogs will do around the kids. Well with Lucy she didn't worry. Lucy was a big yellow lab but so gentle and too fat to jump up on anyone. Shadow was the excited jumper when people arrived. Snoopy was the dog my step-dad had when mom and him met. He ended up getting put down after 3 biting incidents with the girls (now 21 year olds!) were little. I think the neighbors at the houses in your area are smart. If you have a lot of kids, and can stand the cold, outside is just the way to go.
