Yesterday was a busy day. I took a longer and later lunch for puppy’s sake as right after work I went to a DD game. It was in a beautiful little town but thirty minutes away. Game went into overtime w a good outcome for her. But by the time we were back home, it was a little after 8 pm
Let puppy out Cooked a dinner for DD Took puppy on a long walk and let her sniff away as the little sweetie was cooped up for so long. I live in a safe residential area but I don’t live taking puppy out so late. She does look like she could be ferocious at first glance but she is just love personified (should that be dogified?)
After the walk I went grocery shopping as we were out if some key things like dog food
So by the time I had groceries put away and was done for the day it was after 11! Did quickly clean toilet
I fell asleep on the couch snd woke up at 1:30 Did the dishes then off to bed
This morning the usual Up, showered, bed made, ready for work Animals all fed, watered and some outside time Put clean dishes away Cleaned litter Drove DD to school
Off to work. My colleague just treated me to a specialty coffee. Nice!

Good morning bree!
She does look like she could be ferocious at first glance
You never told us what kind of dog she is, and in my mind I have been picturing a Golden Retriever type dog. But Goldens never look ferocious, so I must be way off!

Diane it would be a very quick glance as she is in the retriever family. But at night- she is big, dark, energetic and has a deep scary bark..so it would give someone pause for that nanosecond!. Then a total love bug I had a meeting on a rush job thankfully I am just facilitating this persons rush and can exit stage left.., Now want to sneak in some personal finance updates -a bill is due!

I just found out that someone (my supervisor) that went to one of my many CPR classes (I am a certified instructor) used CPR this weekend to save someone's life. Wow. Sobering. I am thinking of it as a ripple. You toss something out into the universe and you never know where the ripples will end - if they do....

WOW Ohblondie, that must feel incredible to know that you made a difference. Don't ever feel inferior, you are an amazing person with all of your talents!
Bree, I always felt a little unsafe walking dogs later in the evening--people walking dogs have been victims of crimes before, plus I feel responsible for keeping the dog safe too. The only times I felt safer was when walking pit bulls, people make a wide circle around you then. And for a short while I walked a Dogo Argentino--late at night a few times--then I felt pretty safe. Not that the average person knows the reputation that Dogos have, but she was in the bully family and large and looked intimidating.
Next:
Take dog out and feed her Clean birdbath and water bowl Bring out recycling, 1st and 2nd floors Start load of laundry

It's sunny outside, and the light has had a weird quality the last few days. Not the "autumn is coming" quality, but just different--it feels like it's coming through some kind of filter, and yet it hurts my eyes more. I can't describe it any better than that. I'm also feeling wheezy today, like I inhaled mold or dust or something. Weird.

Diane - I wonder if there is smoke or ash in the air from the many wildfires going on out west and in Canada......

Good afternoon everypony!
I am not getting up earlier because I don't want to do adulting. I am surprised at how much I am missing my hemp cigarettes. They were an adulting prop, I think. But my lungs feel better and I know this too will pass.
Thanks for you feedback on the BiT threads, Diane. Honestly the workbook questions are quite evocative. But I think you make a really good point--I need to add visualizing my OWN dream to the mix. I am quite inspired by the AshbyVillage.org, and so I think I can use that as a springboard. I will be visiting them this winter.
Glad DN is better, peaceseeker ! that much be a relief!
I agree, ohblondie , I think you are getting a lot done. not to mention saving lives!
Glad you have colleagues that appreciate you, bree .
DONE: ignored one text responded to another half-caffinated made a list

I wonder if there is smoke or ash in the air
That's a good point ohblondie, although I would think it would seem less bright, and this light hurts my eyes. Of course, the regular strong sunlight probably does too, maybe the weird quality of it is making me look up more and that's why my eyes hurt. It would explain the wheeziness, which feels better now that I'm inside. Normally I love the autumn light and the bright blue sky.
Ashby Village sounds very interesting scholar, I love the idea of helping people stay in their homes. I often thought that if I had a driver's license (and car) and was looking for volunteer work, I would like to give rides to seniors who need them. Not being a driver, I know how much harder life is when you don't have easy transportation. Or else help seniors with their pets.
Okay, the day is half over and I had hoped to keep going with my surface cleaning. I stopped for lunch and a reading break, and now I have one hour left until my shopping friend is due to call me again. I will try to make the phone call shorter this time.

You would be an awesome resource for seniors with their pets, Diane!
I made two scary calls that took me all this time to work up to. Got a recall notice from DNIL for the Sprinter, so called the dealership and made an appt for that. She has records that a couple others are "open," and will rotate my tires. Apparently my local dealership has the best technician for the coach in the state, so his stuff is booked out until December, but the stuff I need can be done in the "Sprinter Shop" in a couple of weeks.
Gonna take velcro kitty to the vet Thurs cause he lost fur while I was gone. its his stress reaction, poor baby.
I have four more scary calls that are urgent/important. hoping my success will make it easier to keep going!

Scholar, good luck with your scary phone calls, I have some to make this week too. Let's try to get through them, even if it's one per day. I think I can still call the home insurance company, they should still be open, I will do that now.

Good morning!
Well, I made 2 phone calls last night. One was to the home insurance company to ask some questions, and I don't know how that one will turn out, they will get back to me. The second phone call was to my new drug insurance plan, because although the promotional material said the pharmacy chain that has a store 2 blocks from me participated, now that I've joined, the website listed in the acceptance letter does not list the one near me. They did not say that specific members of a pharmacy might not participate. I called, hoping it was just a website error, but the guy I talked to kept repeating the address of the next closest one. I had to stop him and say--I know about that one, I'm asking about a different one. After I explained everything again he said he didn't see my store on the list. Well yeah, neither did I, that's why I'm calling. Finally he said that yes, specific pharmacies could opt out. Then he said "maybe you should go to that pharmacy and ask them." Gee, thanks for that advice, I would never have thought of that. I was calling to avoid having to go there and ask them!
This is why I avoid phone calls.
Anyway, it's a new day. I opened all the windows downstairs last night and got the apartment down to 70 degrees by this morning. I hate the juggling act between heat and air conditioning during seasonal transitions, and it's made harder because of the difference in temperatures between the first and second floors here. Luckily I have the window AC upstairs on the hot floor, so I can cool upstairs without having to turn the central on.
I have to go to the library today, I'm eating breakfast now and waiting for it to open.

Good morning ohblondie! That was a good Aldi bargain you found--their special buys are hit or miss, but you got a hit.
