Oh Diane - pollinator guy sounds like a genuine and caring person! You will have such a wonderful safe space for your bees!
I went to event last night. I actually put a little bit of makeup on (hangs my head - I did not wash it off when I got home). I was able to visit with people I had not seen in a very long time. Food was decent - finger type food. I connected with a friend (and made a new friend - maybe I should say ally because I don't like something she did but we are on the same side as far as political beliefs). As I left we made an agreement to get together sometime.
I made DH put the jeans on the dryer (I was too tires to schlepp downstairs one more time) I forgot to get the trash and recycling out - but it is ok as cans were not even half full.
Tonight is double time busy - I will sneak in a visit to DP's and dear aunt... Hopefully this will earn me tomorrow night off.
OK - back to work

Hi all. Been so busy that I have to claim amnesty on reading back!
Sports season is so crazy. DD had another game Tuesday in a town 30 minutes away but unlike the Monday game, it was not a pretty little country town but a big big suburb with industrial flavor. Cooked a late dinner and walked dog and did dishes and crashed.
Yesterday another game 25 minutes away in plush suburb. We had to go to an academic event 45 minutes away after!! So I took a couple hours off in the afternoon to let puppy out and play and love on. Then I drivev25 minutes to game, gathered up DD, drove 45 minutes to event, ate crappy fast food fir dinner, drive home and hit there about 9:15
I was so tired but I then took pup on walk, fed all, took out trash and recycling to curb, cleaned litter, did the dishes to a shiny sink!
This morning I managed to be on time for work with clean hair (I used my car as a blow dryer) with animals all fed and DD dropped at school.
My work morning was brutal three meetings in a row with chaos and two new rush jobs. I am so deeply exhausted
Now rushing home to let puppy out for lunch

bree oh how I miss those days.....Oh how I don't miss those days......You are such a great mom! I ran out at lunch and stocked up on some 2/$! cards at the dollar store. I also grabbed toffee pretzels. Ugh - I have eaten half a bag already. I should drink a huge glass of water - that would fill me up...... I have a busy night ahead of me so I want to be properly fueled.

Well, the whole day is gone! I got a long call from my shopping friend, and took the dog out, and did a little bit of work in the yard, but not much else. At some point today I seem to have pulled a shoulder muscle, but it's not too bad so I'm hoping it will go away quickly.
I just finished dinner, and watched some more Acorn TV--the Scandinavian series I'm watching now is really good.
During the last couple of days I've read two articles about stink bugs--that now is the time they try to come into your house. I haven't seen one since last year--but now that I'm reading about them, there was one on the front window screen when I sat down to talk on the phone, then after I was finished talking, I came to the back to close the back door because I was going to go downstairs to take the dog out. There was a stink bug on the back door screen as well...I'd better watch out, apparently they are correct when they say they're trying to get into the house!
I'm going to try to do some PEEPing up here before bedtime, so that I can start the morning with a neat upstairs.

Hi lennon and TML!
Good morning womble, are you having more work done at your house?
I'm up early, I'm waiting for the animal hospital to open, I'm going to call and talk to the vet--the dog needs another exam to figure out why her breathing isn't normal. Since mid-summer she's been panting more than usual, and I told them this when I scheduled the dental, so that they would do whatever exam was needed before putting her under anesthesia. When they brought her back after the dental, they said her exam was fine, the panting was probably just that she was getting older and reacting to the heat more. I can relate to that, so I didn't worry too much about it--but even during the intermittent cooler days we've had she's panting a bit too much, and last night after about 15 minutes of resting her breathing was too rapid--I was timing it with a stopwatch and it took about 45 minutes for her breathing to slow to a normal rate. Something is wrong, and they need to figure out what it is--at the least, she needs a chest X-ray.
Yesterday evening the pollinator guy came over and brought me some more free plants, he said they were extras he had, since I had "so much space to fill". He gave me some advice about what things to plant where, and said he might also have a couple of those "cup plants" that I asked him about--they are taller then me and have yellow-daisy like flowers at the top, the bees love them. If he does bring more plants I will insist he take some money, he doesn't offer a fall plant sale but if he did I would have bought plants, so I will pay him for them. Last night he brought some goldenrod stalks with no leaves, he insists they will grow--some fleabane, and something called cinqfoil which I am not familiar with, so will have to look up.
It looks like 2 more warmer days and then it gets cooler for the next week, hopefully for good!

Morning Diane, yes we're having a new ceiling put in a side room as it's always too cold to use in the winter. We'll turn it into a playroom then so all my Grandson's toys are contained, he finishes it on Monday
Hope all is ok with your dog, such a worry when they are ill. That sounds so good to have someone give you advice what to plant for the insects, our wildflowers didn't come up this year, we'll have to prep better next year

Thank you womble! I just talked to the animal hospital, they said they can come pick her up at 1 this afternoon for an exam, so I'm grateful for that. She seems fine now, she went out and ate breakfast as usual and isn't breathing hard now, but there's definitely something wrong and I don't want to wait until it becomes an emergency.
So now I have to stay busy until 1:00 so I don't worry.
TO DO:
10 minutes on plants Put dry dishes away Wash the rest of the dirty dishes Delete 30 emails

Oh Diane.....good luck with dear doggie!
I have solved several "urgent" issues for work. One truly was urgent as she was headed to court today. Why she waited til the last minute - well I have no idea.
I had a quick shower and I am dressed, partially caffeinated, and I consumed my leftovers from lunch yesterday (omelette so perfect for breakfast)
Up next: work work work Load of laundry create space for plants I want to bring inside
