Wiped off the counter- the instant pot leaked the other day
put dish mat down
washed crock pot and it is on the dish mat drying
instant pot washed sunday night and put away tonight.
sink is empty save for some wet towels destined for the laundry tomorrow
Left over chili in the fridge
dishwasher loaded but I ran out of dishwasher soap stuff
Did I say sink was empty?
I had a small salad for supper. Usually I enjoy it but it tasted like penance tonight. Not sure why
Is there a lemonade shortage? Usually I can run into the dollar store and grab a box of 10 "sticks" of powdered lemonade that I can dump into my water bottle. I cannot find it lately.
Tomorrow is a work from home day - hurray!!
I broke down and ordered plastic bins. time to sort a room. any room. just time to get moving! I was annoyed because the delivery truck dumped them halfway up the driveway pretty much in the middle of the yard thank goodness my son schlepped them inside for me.
Well sitting here isnt getting much done!

I got dressed and picked up dry cleaning and meds. bought a hat. I need to catch up on the acquisitions thread. also got a fancy pine scented sachet which is making the LR smell good.
So what is on the agenda for tonight?

It's groundhog day here I think, I clear something and then it needs doing again the next day. We've had a new boiler fitted, so I'm still upside down from that really. Hubby is part way through plastering the hole it left in the kitchen, sorting the airing cupboard out and putting up curtains  We're going to to have to have another good clear out in the new year as fed up of moving stuff around. Plumber thought my clothes hanger collection was hilarious

Wrap 2 presents
Feed birds
Tidy kitchen and wipe over
Clean out one kitchen cupboard
Wipe marks on hallway walls

it tasted like penance tonight.
So ohblondie, did you eat something else after to compensate? I would have, that's one of my problems...
I couldn't fall asleep til midnight but I made myself get up at 6:30 anyway. I will keep doing this until I fall asleep quickly at night. I don't think I'll get a reading break during the day today because it's a phone call today.
TO DO:
Clean up from breakfast, wash dishes 10 minutes on plants Check library site Delete 10 hard emails

TML Love your list!!! I need to copy your plan. The little pictures are so pretty, too. Maybe I can do that? Thank all of you for your caring get well thoughts & happy Hanukkah wishes. My son got very sick on Monday & had to go to the ER. My DH went & was there in the parking lot. DS sat in his own car most of the time. He preferred that to waiting in the waiting room. The care clinic wouldn’t let him come there due to his high fever. anyway, after about 5 hours he was released. Clear chest X-ray, fever down some, antibiotics prescribed, etc. some kind of virus or infection. His son (grandson) had been sick a few days/week with Boca Virus & then another virus. Look that Boca one up, y’all. It’s interesting. Grandson still coughing too & fever. DS still had fever yesterday. I got over the side effects but taking me a while to get over the lack of sleep. Bad headache yesterday. Better in late afternoon. I’ve not had any energy & yes holiday sadness/depression. Still love the lights etc. zero has gotten done on the papers & house this week. I did spend a couple hours on a work issue at home early yesterday morning. The anxiety/stress from it was keeping me awake at night the previous night. It’s done! So that was huge! DMom had nosebleed during night before last. She’s ok. Wasn’t real bad. Today is a new day & after work hoping to get at least one thing done! Cd

Happy Wednesday!! I am working from home today. The woman that works for me is out for the next three days to spend much needed time with family from out of town. I am covering her workload as well as mine so I have had a busy morning. I am getting ready to jump into a LONG conference call/webinar....And of course there is no place for me to sit in this house that isnt cluttered.
I have one load washed and hung to dry. the second load is in the washer. third load is at the top of the stairs ready to roll (I will toss in over lunch). Tonight I will go to my parents and deal with their laundry.
When down in the basement I noticed some water puddling on the floor. Not sure of the source - Hot water tank?
UGH...ok. time to pull up the big girl pants and deal with that work call!

did not sleep long enough, but I am awake. I woke the cat up, for once!
DONE: updated log made coffee checked online balance checked email checked calendar
today would be a good day to go over to DP's early and then come home. DVD wants to make a fire in the fireplace. I am also going to pick his bike up from DB's garage and bring it to him.

Cando, I did look up Bocavirus because I had never heard that term, I know boca is the Spanish word for mouth but the only association I have is Boca brand veggie burgers! I see that it's a parvovirus--I'm only familiar with the variety that attacks dogs, and it can be very serious, especially in puppies.

I love carrot cake--and I totally relate to that. If I'm eating something it should taste good. I so wish I could be one of those (rare, probably) people who "eat to live", who just view food as fuel instead of pleasure. But I'm not.
I had to stop and sit for 30 minutes because I got an ocular migraine. This one was right in the middle of my field of vision so I couldn't even read during it. Since I was just sitting with my eyes closed, thinking, I got overwhelmed again with everything I need to do, so now I have a slight headache, which could be from the ocular migraine or could be from stress about various things.
I was going to go to the mailbox today, but there are a couple New Years cards I'd like to send out, and I know that after tomorrow I will not go anywhere for days--depending on how bad this storm is that's coming. So I will write out my last cards and mail them tomorrow morning, and also probably go to the library. They still can't say exactly where the snow will hit the heaviest, I'm fine with tons of snow, I'm worried about the cold--especially since they mention possible power outages.

I'm hoping y'all stay safe in this storm!
I started playing an online game, and then another--to get my daily prize. which totally worked to suck me in. now kitty is on my lap. what can I do online or on the phone? or maybe just go back to sleep...
so I ended up deleting and unsubscribing from emails. also in the middle of making an appt, but I am frustrated and tired so gonna rest

Well, it looks like today is going to be a waste. I got another ocular migraine almost immediately after the first. I only remember one time ever that that happened, a few years ago, and I was afraid it meant they were going to escalate somehow, but that never happened. The second one was milder--maybe I brought it on by stressing out during the first one...
Anyway, now it's time to take the dog out again, and I realized I need to make a decision about the snow shovel that didn't have the screw holes, I will probably need it on Friday. So I'm going to take my lovely new cordless drill downstairs with me and figure out if I can fix it myself. I need to be careful to choose the right drill bit because if I make the holes too big it won't work and then I can't return it either. So I will have to choose a small bit first and then make it larger as needed. After that it should be time for lunch.
The weather forecast has moved the start of the snow up from Thursday night to Thursday afternoon. It has also adjusted the highs for Friday through Sunday from around 10 degrees to between zero and 5 degrees, at least for the first two days.

I think I fixed the shovel! I won't know for sure until I actually try to use it, but I think it's in good shape, it took about half an hour because I took my time. I LOVE my new drill!
Now I will have lunch and hopefully can still do a list before my phone call.
