1. Do numbers 2. Exercise 3. Physical Therapy 4. Wash dishes 5. Put groceries away 6. Put dirty clothes in the shopping cart 7. Wash and dry clothes 8. Put clothes away 9. Put medicine away 10. Go through my e-mail daily 11. Go through my mail 12. Take out trash 13. Take out recycling

mylittlescholar and TML When I got my 2nd Shingrix vaccine this past Saturday, I was told by the pharmacist that it is a 6 month window from when one has the first shot. (I specifically asked....). I started feeling better late yesterday afternoon. Yesterday, after trying to sleep & get over the side-effects most all the day, I finally started feeling better. I did not have fever the entire time but started feeling a little unwell about 3-4 hours after that shot. Then in the evening started feeling sick, diarrhea (sorry, TMI) just one time but felt nauseous the rest of the night and half of yesterday. Also, I had really bad chills (even tho no fever) during the night and part of the morning, yesterday, too. Kept trying to sleep but ended up with only 1 hour of sleep Sat. night. Took tylenol first, then Excedrin as I started getting a headache. Then, more Excedrin during the day because my main side effect turned into a bad headache. My arm is a little swollen and red around the injection site & was a wee bit sore late Saturday night and during that night. While I was feeling sick, other than dog care, -- DH did some things! Yay, DH! He went to the grocery store for just a couple items. (Lactose free Sour Cream -- a particular kind for DDil and my DLilgrandson who are both Lactose Intolerant (DDil was just diagnosed with that about a week, ago). She requested this particular one, but was a little hard to find. One of the Krogers had it.... Anyway, after going to the grocery store, DH washed the dishes, etc. Then he made yummy Potato Latkas! He was in the kitchen for a few hours... They were delicious! I wrapped presents for DS, DDil & DLilGrandson (1 1/2 years old). Got everything ready to take & drop off at their house which is an hour drive from where we live. (Only drop off since DLilGrandson is sick. He had 102 fever yesterday, morning & a cough. Gave them 3 bottles of Pedialyte that we had sitting around taking up space. DH drove. Dropped off the latkes and gifts. They had a gift for us, too. DH still being so great... cleaned up the kitchen from his latke making, and turned on the dishwasher! Yay, again! I emptied the kitchen trash & replaced bag. DH took bag of trash & 2 sacks of recyclable bottles/cans/jars/papers/boxes to outside cans. Lit Chanukah candles - 1st Night. Happy Chanukah to those who celebrate! Opened gift -- it was one of those picture frames & they had pre-loaded some amazingly, wonderful pictures!!! DLilgrandson is a very happy, cute baby and has HUGE open mouthed smiles. DH loaded a few pictures of ours on there, too. More will be added. Such a great, wonderful gift. Love it!!! I tossed 3 items from my cluttered dresser: 1 price tag, 1 paper & 1 travel pkg of wipes that was so old they were completely dried out! No telling how long they had been there. Tossed used/torn wrapping paper. I went to sleep early last night on the couch in the den. Feeling well, now! Hoping everyone has a terrific week! Love, CD

hello lennon thanks for starting cando hope you feel better and Happy Hannukah! and hello to all to come I am afraid I am going to have a pretty negative vent here. my heart is actually feeling like it is pounding due to stress and I am so sad because I took this day off to get ready for Christmas and it has been a yucky morning. I will try to keep concise! DD ordered a new phone at thanksgiving. paying on her own. on backorder. DD paid in full she thought. but it turns out they don't make the charge until the phone is delivered...and young DD did not know so she did not transfer more money into her account and asher balance in checking went too low -- the phone people went ahead and canceled the phone . so today I get an email saying as requested the trade-in of her old phone is cancelled. I did not cancel or realize this was going on so i called the number provided. spoke to a guy at the phone place for over 30 minutes and he finally transferred me to sales spoke to sales for about 15 minutes and she put me on hold finally a person popped on and said billing and I explained what I was trying to do and she sent me back to sales new sales person said oh no you really need billing sent me back to billing after a long wait on hold billing lady said you need sales, I said NOOOO they sent me here billing lady took all my information again (fourth time!) and then said she could not help me because the &(#ing company had too many screens open on my account!... I said yes because your company has transferred me around and now you can't help me because you transferred me around?  This f up took 57 minutes of my time, time I don't have, and nothing was resolved! now i have to go to the local store in person. UGH I took today off to Christmas shop and now all this time is wasted I could just cry And I had a rough weekend...once again will try not to belabor but ... relative is in the hospital. she called me Friday night asking if I could help her the next day by driving to her house (far away) getting clothes for her discharge, come to hospital, pick her up, take her home. Of course I want to help a relative in the hospital but (yes a but) this all would take about three hours just in driving time alone, not to mention the time at each location. And I am the only person who is not a healthy retired empty nester! So why ask me?? So I asked the empty nesters to help and they said they were busy....the kicker is that we were all going to a christmas event that I told them about. Empty nester was taking her grand kids (who are teenagers not babies) and it was at night and she said "My grandkids are counting on me tonight so I can't help." I replied right my DD is counting on me and I work full- time... the person did not get discharged but I did drive to their house and get them clothes and brought to hospital, so it took about three hours anyway. I don't mind helping out I just get annoyed because I am almost always hit up to help first and I'd like to share the burden. Grandma Empty Nester in particular drives me crazy. I would cut off ties with her in total if the fall out would not be so great. She is so selfish and self centered any encounter I have with her leaves me angry for the most part. Once I saw her in the grocery store and I quickly went down an aisle because any encounter with her is so awful. So that is my vent! I also had the charger break off in my phone after the hospital stuff but luckily I went to a repair store and got it fixed. I also ordered a new dryer Friday night and it came Sunday! So Sunday I was stuck at home most of the day for my delivery window. But it came and yay no more laundromat I was going to try and wait until I had enough cash to buy a dryer after the holidays but the big box store had all these great deals and I have no interest 12 months to pay it off, dryers are not that expensive so it is a small payment. I was amazed I could go on line and order a dryer on Friday night and have it show up on Sunday! I was up early to move the cat litters and to get some totes moved so they had good access. oddly second time in a week I had workmen in my basement! I did not get to church but i did watch it online. puppy was so excited by the whole thing. I did get some Christmas shopping done last night but I will be out to mall shortly. I am not a mall lover but ... The real spirit of Christmas is helping sick relative in hospital, not going to mall! I am glad I could help. Just so annoyed by the narcissists. |

Happy Chanukkah, cando and all! ETA: oh how absolutely aggravating, dear bree! So glad your DD has you to help her work out the phone issues. And that you could help your relative. My condolences on the narcissistic folks.
I had so much fun yesterday! I don't want to go to work. Theoretically Lady D and 2 will be over in half an hour, but I am counting on them running late. Watch her surprise me! So I guess I should get dressed at least.
DONE: made coffee checked online balance checked email checked calendar reviewed photo shoot and saved the good ones
NEXT UP: more coffee take meds update logs what to wear wash up and get dressed

Well I thought I posted two hours ago - but I guess not!
The party for my dad that we had at a friends house went well. I made so much mac-n-cheese! I sent one casserole dish home with DD. We ate two last night. the others are in my fridge for DS to eat this week. DD comes home this week as well. So there will be no problem getting rid of the food!
DH and I decluttered the fridge and carefully packed in the leftovers. I brought some for lunch today. I made pulled chicken in the instant pot - and the pot is all washed. I will put it away when I get home. That was the most satisfying feeling - to have pots and pans washed and the dishwasher humming when I went to bed.
The office is so cold this morning. I am wearing a lighter weight flannel shirt and vest and I still have a "throw/wrap" around me. My fingers are so cold. With the heat in the building turned way down for the weekend - mondays are tough to warm up.
I have a list of things to do over lunch and a long list to accomplish tonight. Including helping my mom shower - that takes a huge chunk out of my night.
No time like the present to get moving!

Good morning everyone! I will read back later, I just got home from my Walmart walk--I was tempted to put it off until tomorrow but I'm so glad I got it done! It was 15 degrees while walking but I was dressed warmly and walked as quickly as my sore feet would allow so I did not feel the cold. I had less to buy than usual since I did this trip early to avoid all the issues later in the week--not only will the Christmas shopping ramp up, but we are expecting snow Thursday and Friday and then high temps around 10 degrees for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I still managed to fill the cart, mostly because I bought an impulse item--one of those decorative tins of popcorn, because they had one with the adorable baby Yoda on it!
Now I have to sit for a while, then it will be time to take the dog out. Then at noon there is a January 6th hearing that I will be watching plus commentary, so I'm guessing this will not be a productive day. However, getting this shopping trip out of the way was a big thing done.

I read all the posts and feel for each of you. Everyone is going through something it seems. Driving 3 hours would just be a definite NO from me sorry to say. I would have gone and bought a couple of cheap clothes instead of doing that drive for sure. It must be awful to live so far from a hospital. Its not warming up here, the sun they promised is probably still there.....just covered with clouds  I made waffles in butter in the frying pan then covered them in strawberry jelly. I wanted to start the week with a healthy breakfast! All the dishes are drying I went to the garage and brought up His new clothes as we had to much to carry when we came in last trip and you guessed it, i'm under the electric throw until i go to work later. |

Thanks oust! It was three hours from my house to relative house to hospital to home w the time at each location thrown in. I agree about the clothes - I would have have just grabbed some of mine -the kicker was I got her phone and charger as she had no way to easily communicate I plan to let the empty nesters help w the discharge. So I am shopping! I always get my team a particular little treat. It is good snd affordable. This year they are sold out at three stores finally found some!! Off to mall ! Not a mall person!! |

Oh bree, your phone company customer service story beats them all, how frustrating! I'm so glad you got a new dryer though, you don't have time to be going to the laundromat all the time.
Cando, I'm glad you're feeling a little better, and that your husband is stepping up to help.
I took the dog out and put the refrigerated grocery items away, and I kept an eye on something that's happening next door--they are ripping up part of the sidewalk on the big house next door to me, I'm always afraid that means water work and shutting off water to the area, I hope that doesn't happen.
Now I'm going to have lunch and watch cable news for a while. But once the commentary starts I will make some lists and do some work.

Was the mall crazy yet, bree? The Walmart was a little bit busier than usual, but I got there later than I do during summer when it gets light earlier, so that might have been why. Good luck at that phone store!

Hi Everyone! Thanks for getting the week started lennon ! cando and mylittlescholar I just know what my Pharmacist said as he was fine delaying mine so I could get flu and Covid #4. We were not giving vaccines back when I was out in practice. I did not ask him anything else to much as it made sense with how the immune system works. I will check it when I have time and Scholar you may want to double check with your pharmacist. Cando I hope you get to feeling better soon. I am not going to get my next shot for a couple of weeks which is good as the one shot in each arm thing made it hard to sleep (flu/covid). I was out and about today dealing with errands. This is my official first day of vacation! I went to a Mexican place for lunch and discovered that I really love plantains fried with a touch of honey. Their tacos were not as good as taco bell but the plantains were great. Happy Chanukah! to all who celebrate |

Well I had four items on my lunch list and I got three done. The 4th item was write some checks. I did call and initiate a transfer to cover the checks so it is OK if I do them tomorrow.
I have to really stick to my after work list or it wont get done. I crossed off one stop as it is too far away to be able to get done.
Priority - bathroom run befpre I head out in the cold!! LOLOL!!!!
