PS, I hope you get the cold weather you're waiting for!
I watched the temp all day, it did not go above freezing, ironically it will do that overnight because by morning it's supposed to reach 5 degrees. The high later in the day will only be around 10, but that will feel warmer than today.
I didn't do much this afternoon, I did finish the load of laundry and did some houseplant care. I watched a Christmas movie and then cable news.
And now it's time to get ready for bed--I'm going to put the dog's harness on before I take her out in case she has trouble walking again, I'll be able to help her get back into the house more easily with her lift harness.
Good night everyone, I will see you tomorrow in the weekend thread (all the days this week are blurring together, but I do remember that tomorrow is the weekend!)

Thanks, Diane, I feel very fortunate it wasn't very deep! might go to the "first aid" place.
DM called (she had texted) so I found my phone! under my suitcase. told her I won't be coming until late tonight or early tomorrow. I have the "candles" and music on again. Time to wrap!

I will aim for 4-5 things to get done tonight when I get home after work. Cd Thurs night Dec 22 — Had another bad thing happen at work in the afternoon. Boss came in & I was questioned thoroughly about something & accused of making a corporate rule decision. ( About 3 years ago, I had something similar happen in which I was accused of “acting like I was running the company”. I almost quit on the spot then. This brought back that awful memory but I don’t want to quit right now due to somethings that I want/need to finish up on first. ). Anyway, thank goodness, this was not a decision that I had made. Yes, I texted him about it before I sent my email to the employees. He had asked me about the rules already set up regarding an employee issue. So I had answered his question based on the ambiguous rules we had & what we had done in the past regarding it. He had okayed for me to let the employees know in an email. But now he was questioning everything including our decisions in past years, etc. He asked to see the email that I sent. He was relieved that my wording wasn’t made to seem like a rule change, but rather a singular update for this particular point in time. Still though, the questioning & discussion regarding this went on for 15-30 minutes. I felt sick again with headache after that. After work, temperature dropping! 1) got gas (23 degrees) 2) went to Pet Smart to buy a warm coat for Dog. (19 degrees) 3) tried coat on dog. Unfortunately, it was too small. I need to get a medium for her next time. She’s 23 lbs. it goes but their chest/girth measurements. Wish she’d been with me… 4) emptied kitchen trash & replaced bag DH took bag to outside can. Temperature dropped to 8 degrees during the night. Very cold for the Dallas area. Cd

Dec 23 Friday Feeling awful at 6am. Tummy issues, very bad headache, nasal congestion. Took allergy med & 2 Excedrin After a couple hours felt better. Emptied front bathroom trash & replaced bags. Went to work but was very late. I texted my boss & coworker. Had half day off today. Thank goodness!
Returned the dog coat. Didn’t buy another since temperature back in the 30s, now. (After being 8 degrees in middle of the night).
35 minute drive to another city to renew expired auto registration. I was concerned about holiday hours but after looking into that, It seemed that it would be open. Had trouble locating where the building was even using GPS. Finally found it but it was closed & had a sign on the door with the holiday hours. It was not on their voicemail & not in google. Oh well.
Went to grocery store. Had problem when checked out as price rang up higher. Grrr. Not going into any more details about what transpired after that. But, Ghah.
Put away groceries.
DS still sick. Ear infection, too, now.
