I lost a post somewhere--I had another list that I thought I posted an hour ago and it disappeared--maybe I put in some other place.
I also said that the snow started just when they said it would--around noon. It's very sparse and gentle now, though. The latest prediction is 4-6 inches which is not that much.
I'm eating lunch now and getting a news update.

Good afternoon everypony!
I, too, love that you have a hedgehog, womble wow, cando, that is so generous of you to house your bookkeeper! I hope everypony gets well soon. you reminded me about the suitcases in my closet, reve. I keep having to check what is in them because I haven't written it down. ohblondie I have hip pain too. I recently saw a video by physical therapist who explained it was because the muscles holding us in place when we sleep on our sides are weak, which makes them tense up. So I have been doing some bent side leg raises which has helped a lot with relatively little effort. glad the weather is gentler than it could be Diane
DONE: updated log
checked online balance checked email checked calendar checked notifications went back to sleep made coffee took meds
I have a video appt w/ new tdoc in 15 mins and I am still in my jammies

reve @mylittlescholar my next door neighbour is a hedgehog rescue and releases them into my garden when they're well They normally move on after 24 hours, but one or two must have stayed nearby and come for dinner every night and don't seem ready to hibernate

Good afternoon scholar!
my next door neighbour is a hedgehog rescue and releases them into my garden when they're well
Oh, I am so envious! How wonderful!
After lunch the dog wanted to go out so we went into the backyard--it is snowing heavier now and there was about half an inch on the sidewalks, so I shoveled both front and back yards--if I stay ahead of it it won't be a huge job all at once. There are neighbors down the street that sometimes come out with their snowblower and do the whole block, but I'm pretty sure the guy was supposed to have some kind of surgery so if that has happened already I don't suppose he'll be out there. It's so pretty outside! The temperature has dropped 13 degrees in the last few hours.
I'm going to sit and warm up for a few minutes.

That's so lovely womble! Hedgehogs are so sweet! Twinkletoes - You're doing amazingly with that list! Diane - 4 to 6 inches sounds nice, but still I hope that you don't need to go anywhere soon! Done: - Laundry from machine to dryer - Another load of laundry - Tidied my hangers at the front door of various outer layers and hung them up on the coatstand instead. I've got a fabric wreath hanging there now, and I've added some cute lights, and it looks SO nice now that it's tidy! - Lots more wrapping, including helping bf with a lot of his. One more awkward gift to wrap tonight, and one that should be arriving in the morning - All gift tags written and attached - Gifts organised into bags depending on what day we will be seeing people - Gone through bag brought home from work and PEEPed as much as I could Starting to be able to see wood underneath the piles of things on my coffee table.... To do: - Finish wrapping last few presents - Write Christmas card explaining one gift - Clear coffee table - Clean kitchen worktops - Clean downstairs bathroom

Hi reve!
I just went out in front to shovel the inch or so that has fallen since the last time I was out, and when I got half way through the son from the family down the street came over to help me finish. That was nice, although it was light snow and I didn't need help yet, I might need help tomorrow morning if it snows all night, though. I will wait to shovel in the back until later.
Next I'm going to write out a Christmas card for the next door neighbor with my contact info in it, something I've meant to give him ever since he moved in, just in case there's an emergency. I'll deliver it later on, along with a piece of their mail that I got by mistake today. I will also collect the dry laundry from the basement.

cando it is wonderful that you are going to help your book keeper! womble I have never seen a real hedgehog. Only pictures. They look like very sweet! TwinkleToes You are getting so much done! Diane I hope you do not get too much snow. I keep hearing about the weather and it is getting cold here but we are supposed to get rain and then maybe at the end a little snow. (I am hoping it does not turn out to be a lot of ice and lost power). reve woo hoo for seeing wood! mylittlescholar I have a knee pillow that I use sleeping on my side so it keeps my hips aligned. Sending out hugs and good wishes to everyone facing the storm now and over the next few days. I am in for a while. No one is coming over to visit and I am not going anywhere. I also have all my food in the house so I should not need to go out for me or for kitties. I was going to see Mom but her place has a lot of COVID now and they are asking people if they can to just facetime in and if they do feel they have to be over to just have one or two visit and only in the room with masks on and keeping distances. So Mom and I will be facetiming for the holidays. So I will be just home for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with a ton to do plus the kitties and I will celebrate Christmas. I need to get on a schedule for tonight and the next three days so I can get things accomplished. I got part of the garage freezer sorted out and i got the fridge sorted out. So I am getting there.

what a perfect way to make a hedgehog friend, womble! TML good point, I lost my knee "pillow" when cat p'd on My Giant Pony
managed to get dressed, had a good session. Have to be ready to go out in two hours. Instead of napping, I looked at cat trees. Found one on chewy that is tall with a small footprint and supposedly sturdy. sent info to D who will order it for me--she owes me and has credit.
I need to shower and do my hair but it is so cold I don't wanna.

When i went out there was a layer of ice on the sidewalks and it was pretty slippery. Luckily i slowed down in stead of just carrying on as normal. The family today was delightful. Two huge christmas trees downstairs all lite up. The little girl came rushing to find me when she got home from school with a big box of christmas cookies, Godiva ones at that!! so sweet. And the dog who follows me around was all excited too.
Here DH cooked up some nice chicken and even cleaned the airfryer I put a few things away right now we are under blankets in different rooms enjoying the heating as i caved and turned it on..... i could still do a few more things before bed, but most things are up to date so apart from the dreaded garage, i can relax a bit.
I hope everyone stays warm and safe during the coming days.

I am in for a while.
Does that feel good to you, TML? Or do you feel claustrophobic? I love feeling like I can stay at home for a few days and not go anywhere, and my theory is that's because I'm an introvert, I'm guessing extroverts get nervous when they have to stay home alone for a chunk of time.
Scholar, cat trees are so much fun! If it has a small footprint make sure it's attached to the wall or wedged in between something so it doesn't tip over. Cat energy can knock things down that you would never believe possible, especially something fun like a cat tree!
Oust, I'm glad you finally put your heat on, you don't want to be miserable for the whole winter. I blocked one of the three upstairs heat vents this evening so more heat will be downstairs where the birds are, I will have to make sure it doesn't feel too cold down there during the next three days.
The snow seems to have stopped already, and looking at the radar I don't see any more, even though they said it would continue through the night and part of tomorrow. I know more snow can develop that isn't on the radar, but it sure looks clear--and we only got about 2 inches. I'm going to wait until I take the dog out for her last yard visit to shovel out there since there's not that much.
I've had dinner and have about an hour before having to start getting ready for bed. Until then I'm going to try to organize my Christmas cards so I can put them away neatly, I have lots of leftovers for next year.
Good night everyone, I hope everyone dealing with extreme weather stays safe and warm!
Diane

Diane, I enjoy being in for a while where I can focus on things I need to get done. Unfortunately one of the things I need to get done means I need to go to the store again. So I ordered some more items and will be heading out in the morning - not to far but still not just staying home either but I need the witch hazel so while I am out I will get some pringles too and a few cat items.

Good Morning
Everyone is having a very productive week Hope everyone has a great day xx
I laid the dining room table very late before I went to bed and went to sleep very pleased with myself. I did think it looked a bit cramped, but we do have an an extra person this year so thought it that. I woke up this morning realising I'd not put the extension leaf in I've stripped it and relaid, looks much better anyway . I'm working tonight and tomorrow all day so this is my final fling other than cooking.
Shower
Hoover upstairs Tidy bedroom Returns
Clear landing unit
Wipe over kitchen tops
