So I did it. Last night I spent a few hours finishing up my documents. My goal was to review this morning and submit by noon today and I did.
I have no idea if I want this job in a way but I’d be interested to learn more. It would have to be a sizeable raise.
Oh well I may never here a peep. Glad I submitted stuff. BTW I recommend people update their resumes if you are working at your leisure -it would have made applying for this job a lot easier if I just had to do a few tweaks. The last time I updated my resume was maybe 2017. I never intended to leave current job.
Took puppy to daycare she was so happy!
Put clean dishes away.
I need to do some housework today and finances.
Right now just relaxing - glad the burden is done

phoenixcat Thanks for the tips. I am joint on her checking account and I usually have a credit card of theirs that I use. But the CC expired and I never grabbed the new one. there is so much to think about and so much you learn from others from their experiences. Lunch time. We all ordered out. I ran out over lunch to get two screens we had repaired. Sick son stayed home from work. He must be asleep still as he has not responded to a text.

Good luck bree! I hope that you have the right outcome for you, whichever that ends up being in the long term! I had planned out some really nice treats for having mother-in-law over tomorrow night, and then my grocery delivery came with half of my items missing. The whole area around the store is flooded and the driver said he was surprised the store hadn't shut, and that there was discussion of cancelling deliveries entirely. Oh well, I must be thankful for what I have! I hope you have more luck with yours ohblondie!
Done: Load of laundry Laundry from machine to dryer Load of laundry 2 Watered plants Wiped down bathroom surfaces Replenished toilet roll Handled mail and broke down three boxes for recycling Trying a bathroom cleaning tip of putting vinegar soaked tissues around the base of a tarnished tap - we'll see if it works!

Bree, good work on getting your application, etc. done--you're right, it doesn't hurt to apply and see what happens.
I can't believe it's 1:00 already, these days are flying by. I did go to the library and pharmacy, and I have talked to my decluttering client a couple of times already--she has end of year deadlines and is under pressure. I spent some time downstairs trying to declutter the kitchen--since I don't use it as a kitchen but more of a work room, it is usually messy. I still have garden seeds on the table to work on, and during the recent cold snap I had various water containers around to save the water dripping out of the faucet. I guess my focus for the next few days should be the first floor now that the second floor looks better.
I'm going to eat lunch now, and then think about my next goals, the next challenge, and maybe do some budgeting now that I have a better idea of what income/expenses will be. There was an increase to Social Security for the next year, which is nice. But of course, insurance and heat bills are going way up. I need to clean off the back porch too while the weather is still mild.

I had a busy day
Dh has been having kidney pains so we called the doctor today who got him in right away. I had to do my job in the morning super fast then drive him 2o miles to the office. He has a bunch of lab work to do and got a muscle relaxant medication. Luckily he came home and went straight to bed cos he really wears me out.
I had a super 1 hour dash to get the place together after getting home Work rags washed and hanging to dry trash by the door ready letters opened and mostly trashed PUPA 20 minutes dish washer loaded....no hand washing tonight, CLean clothes all put away more but i don't remember.

ohblondie For my mom, we had an auto transfer from her account monthly into our joint account for me to use for purchases. Not only did it make it easier to track expenses but the account was still active at her death because I was a joint owner (but it was in my name and social as primary). In consultation with your parents/siblings - you may have them deposit enough to cover initial expenses to use for a funeral, etc. unless they have pre-paid. That is A LOT of money to come up with quickly and sometimes their assets can be shut down for a month or more even with a trust. I was locked out of DM's account affiliated with her trust for six weeks and it would have been longer if I hadn't gotten really pushy with the attorney due to insurance and bank line of credit issues. If you only use the joint account for purchases for your parents - you can just keep the itemized bank statements for any future records needed. Just my two cents. With Mom we have used the pre-paid route for her funeral expenses. Mom wanted cremation. The only thing I have not yet purchased is the burial urn but that will be something I will be buying I think when the time comes. (I did not want to prebuy it and have it sitting around the house waiting to fill it with Mom). I am still arguing with my bed company. Yes, I have a warranty. Yes the onsite guy can see they sent me the wrong part. However, (there is always a however) over the years they have upgraded their product and they just don’t make the same parts they did when I bought my bed (blah, blah, blah). So they are going to send another sort of this is what we think you need part to see how it works even though the last part I said can you just use a ruler to see if it will fit. I said that last part was like trying to fit a great dane with a barbie doll jacket with them swearing up and down it will fit when it is obvious to anyone who sees it that it would barely fit on his ear. That was reason I had to have service person over as they (home company) swore up and down it was the right part. I said maybe I should video it for youtube of them installing it for laughs. The service guy was more practical he was like what the heck and said that is obviously the wrong part. Yes I could give my bed company a bad review and rating but when i looked them up their current rating is 1.65 with lots of people mad and fuming so I don’t think they care too much. However they are going to send over one more try for free with another service person when that part arrives to install it. I said again please just someone take a good look at part before we do all this to see if it really has a chance of working. I need to get up again and make another try at getting stuff done. I think I will check the entry way again as I have been working on it like crazy today and I bought some new clear storage boxes and labels that can be peeled off pretty easy with no residue. I am going to put a label on two boxes and start just tossing stuff in the right box so that i can sort it all later. I also got my Sunday basket for mail (it is from an organization course). Supposedly this is supposed to help me keep all my mail and paperwork straight which I really need heading into tax season mail.

Okay I got to get up and do something ….. well besides cry and whine about life and how I need to get up and do something but I dont’ want to.
I am setting up a reverse pomodoro - essentially instead of work 10/rest 10. I am going to rest 10/work 10. Maybe getting started on a cycle will encourage me and it gives me 10 min on the clock to rest.
I will report back one way or another. Though I would not recommend betting on it as the odds are higher for me just laying here.

Hi everyone. Here’s what I done: Checked mom’s accounts. Paid her credit card bill Searched for some needed papers re: DMom- banking I thought sure those papers were in a particular stack, but NO… And of course, I was in a rush! …before work. Anyway , I went thru another great big stack of papers in a different room, TWICE! And still not found. I’m very nervous & anxious by this point. Needed those papers to go to the bank that’s 30-45 minutes drive away before going to work. I had planned my time & had known that I’d be a little late to work, but now…… Went back to the first stack of papers that I’d gone thru & where those papers should have been. Started going through them again & lo and behold! There they were! About halfway through the stack. I’d just missed them the first time. Ghah! I’ve just got to get my act together!
Went to bank. This, again, was for DMom’s account. All went smoothly there. Went to work about 30 minutes late.
We were all on pins & needles this morning while waiting for DMil to come out of the procedures this morning. She had the wireless pacemaker put in & ablation done. She’s been doing so well, since the procedures were done! Praying that she continues to recover. Got 2 big projects done at work! Yay! Fed Dog 2nd feeding
