Wow! Great lists Nael_C
I may have to start off smaller.
When should your new washer be arriving?
(I hope you’ll be patient with me as I will have typos & might get things mixed up).
I hope you get lots done!
How’s it going?
Wondering our time zone difference.
It’s 6:47 in the morning, here.
Be back later!

Thank you a lot partner!
Starting off smaller I think helps relieving our big expectations,
I find if I put too many tasks on my day, I may get disappointed and instead
of even doing some, I may feel discouraged and do nothing.
It's going fine today. It is now 3 o'clock, in the middle of our day!
Have a nice day cando
! Do your best, and that is enough!

You just described me in that last post.
I slept late & have been up for about an hour. Long phone call with my DS & grandbaby. Video call- FaceTime.
It’s 9:55 in the morning, now.
How about posting our tadas too?
How’d you do today?
Re: self care. Im not as good as I used to be regarding that and need to improve that again.
So here’s my plan for the rest of the day.
Short visit with DMom to see if caregivers gave her the fidget hand mitt that’s like a dog & if socks fit.
Meal plan at least today & tomorrow’s meals.
Empty kitchen trash
Paperwork/ decluttering papers
Plan schedule for myself for earlier wake up/bedtime/exercise
Off to shower now.
Good night to you. I’m guessing about 7 or 8 at night where you are?
Post by Nael_C on Jan 2, 2023 11:34:15 GMT -5
It's 6.30 at night where I am. It's already dark outside.
It gets dark at about 5.15-5.30 in the winter.
I have wrapped up my house work for today.
I didn't finish putting on a load of laundry (handy men didn't come,
they will be coming tomorrow, so I had no washing machine).
I also did not finish any vacuuming of the floors, will add that to
Also, I forgot to add one of the most important tasks of the day to my list!
That is, scooping the litter boxes! I did that.
I'm OK with posting our TA-DA's too here!
Good night! Nc

Yay on scooping litter boxes! How many do you have there? You are wonderful with your special needs pets. It takes special people to care for them.
There was a time when we had 2 litter boxes but that’s the most we’ve had. Even just 1 is hard to keep up with for many people.
My dog that passed about the same time as my Dad was a special needs dog. I miss her soo much.
We have only one dog, now. She’s 23 lbs. she’s a short haired mix.
My Catahoula Leopard Dog was 65 lbs.
Couldn’t shower cause I forgot that I was out of conditioner. Need to add that to my list today & shower later.
Getting cleaned up & dressed to visit DMom, buy some Sudafed & shampoo.
So far only about 130 calories for breakfast.
Emptied kitchen trash & replaced bag
3:50 in the afternoon 1/2/23 Mon.
DH took bag of trash to outside can
Dressed2shoes, teeth brushed, contacts in.
meds to Dog
DH & I visited Dmom. Cognitively she wasn't too well, but she was very talkative. Wide awake. It's very hard for me to figure out how to relate to her and talk with her. What to say, how to react, what to do, etc. We have an electronic photo frame -- so looked at the photos as they were going. Mom looked good. She was still liking the Fidget Dog Hand Mitt. We were glad to see that the caregivers gave it to her so she could put her hands in it and/or fiddle with it. Also, she had one of the new pairs of socks on that my Sil had sent. They fit her & she likes them. So, I will take the rest of them over to her place. She'll have more than enough socks, now.
Went to Walgreens. Bought shampoo/conditioner, antifrizz/detangler spritz and Sudafed from the pharmacy. Haven't had to buy it in years-- weird statement they had me sign. I did it, tho. (had to do with falsifying their log... I guess stating that I haven't bought any more Sudafed lately or something like that... I don't even get to see their log, but it is punishable to falsify their log... Hmmmm. interesting, and I don't like signing stuff that I don't know about. Oh well... did it anyway.)
4:37 afternoon Mon. 1/2/23
Drank 3rd glass of water
Put laundry load #1 in washer
Put away all the things that I bought earlier from Walgreens
Tossed packaging to socks that I'll be taking over to Mom's in the next week.
6:51 in evening Mon. 1/2/23
Drank 4th glass of water
Moved Laundry Load #1 into dryer
Put Laundry Load #2 in washer
Put away hand-washed stuff from drainboard
Hung Laundry Load #1
1 bottles & 1 piece of cardboard into recycle bag
Another packaging into trash
Finished unpacking small carry on suitcase that has been sitting on my front bathroom floor since Dec. 1st.
After visiting Mom & going to the store earlier... I've had trouble finding energy. My DH went to bed for a long nap & I put music on & tried to get motivated... I really pushed to do the little bit that I did...
Washed sinkful of dishes
Moved Laundry Load #2 to dryer & hung the hang-dry things
Put Laundry Load #3 in washer

Thank you cando
! You did so much yesterday, awesome work! Also, how nice
that your mother could play with the fidget thing! Great thing that you
pushed yourself on doing the work, I think it helps to see that even though
you were not in the mood, or low in energy, you persisted and got it done.
I am sure I am doing OK, the changes are not going to be seen immediately,
but slowly building up in time, they will!
I also was glad to keep the Self Care list of things done.
Post by cando on Jan 2, 2023 22:20:26 GMT -5
Agreed the changes will take time... but we can do it!
I got rid of a lot of papers over the past week, but no one else could tell, but me, really........
Since my last update, I did some more laundry and ate a late meal.
Folded load of laundry #2
Put away that load
Moved Laundry Load #3 to dryer & hung the hang-dry things.
Drank 6th glass of water.
Next for me is take blood pressure... see if I can have the Sudafed that I bought earlier today. I won't if it is up.
Figure out meals for today & tomorrow, at least.
See if I can work out some kind of schedule.
10:15 at night 1/2/2023 Mon
bp 123/75 P 71
meds to Dog
Folded/hung laundry load #3
Put away that load
DH took 6 boxes & bag of recyclable bottles to outside can
DH took 3 sacks of recyclable paper type stuff to outside can
midnight -- going to bed in the next 30 minutes which is far better than I've been.
I will be waking up earlier than usual... between 5 & 6am
Took 2 Sudafed (for my nasal congestion & stuffy ear)
Also, did Nasal Saline
Hoping I'll sleep better since I did that. I've been needing the Sudafed for several days & kept forgeting to buy some until today.
made meal plans for 1/3/23 & 1/4/23.
Made tentative schedule for myself...
Hope you have a very good day.

, hope you feel better soon and you begin
to sleep better!
Didn't really have a good night's sleep, so I overslept in the morning.
Won't feel guilty about it, I was tired from yesterday too.
The handymen came, but did not plug neither the kitchen appliance,
nor the washing machine. So, we have four of those appliances in the house!
Not enough room to do the job correctly cleaning the place!
We have to find other ones to come and finish connecting the appliances.
No loads of laundry yet, very frustrating.

Post by cando on Jan 3, 2023 9:29:49 GMT -5
That is very frustrating that they didn’t connect up the appliances & you have to call out someone else.
Wishing you good luck & energy today!
I didn’t sleep well, either, and overslept too.
I know that we can do this. Have you always had trouble sleeping or just recently.
I usually sleep well, but not with a consistent schedule for many years. Usually I’m out like a light, but not the past week, especially.
I’ll catch up on your posts this evening.
Luv & hugs,

Well, I have been sleeping problems for at least the last 1O years.
My biological clock seems to be totally warped, or broken, I don't know.
I eat more in the night than in the day also, which messes up with
the gastrointestinal system.
Anyway, we managed to have the washing machine connected, which was quite
the adventure (lots of tries and mistakes), but at last it is working
and it is such a great washing machine. It is a Hoover, and it does a perfect
I went ahead and put on 2 loads of laundry today.
Got them out of the washing machine and hung them out to dry.
I need to put at least two loads a day if I want to catch up in a week!
I also vacuumed the bedroom and even did behind the furniture.
I discovered dust bunnies behind the furniture, which is so bad
for the health. I intend to be more serious in properly vacuuming the rooms
from now on, so no dust bunnies live where we breathe, sleep and eat.
I shone the sink, also did some long abandoned baking trays, now that I have
a new kitchen and the oven works I can use them.
No water drunk today, that is bad. I instead had coca cola, which is also bad.
Sending you a hug cando

Sorry I didn't get back here, sooner.
I just read your post and Wowser!!! You got so very much done, today!!!!!
I'm so glad you got the washer working & that you really like it!
You did a lot of laundry, too.
And, then vacuuming and shining the sink & washing baking trays. Yay!
And, yes, I completely understand on the Coca-Cola. It is my drink of choice, HA . I did good on water, today.
6 glasses (my goal).
I'm telling you... I had to start with 1 glass of water per day as all I used to drink was Coke. I've tried to cut back because the caffeine or something would cause me to have lumps & pain in my breasts. The only time that I start having the pain, again, is if I start drinking too many cokes, again. I don't even have them in the house, anymore. When I eat out though, I ususally get a Coca-cola.
Sorry to hear you've had sleep issues for a long time. I've been fortunate in that regard except for being shtupid & staying up too late & not getting enough sleep. The little bit I'd get wasn't enough quanitity & so I'd often get headaches during the day or just being too tired after work every day. The last few nights, tho... I couldn't sleep well & felt sick. Especially last night & unfortunately... due to that... I wasn't able to do anything after work. I started getting a headache & kept passing out on the couch.
I did feed the dog and give her meds.
I also dieted successfully, today. I stuck with my planned meals.
Work was not good, today. My boss wasn't very nice, today... Very stressful day mainly due to the way he was...
Also, when I got home from work, found out that DH scheduled a Structural Engineer coming to our house, early in the morning. Ugh! I don't have the energy to try to straighten up the house even a little bit. I knew we needed to have one come to see if we have a foundation issue, etc But, this was very sudden. It has me quite freaked out due to the condition of my house.
I wish that I could keep my eyes open long enough to do some paperwork. I'm glad that I got dishes done, yesterday... I think it was & a lot of laundry. Unfortunately, my plan for starting exercise tomorrow morning is not gonna happen. I'm going to try to be out of the house before the Engineer gets here. DH will be meeting the Engineer.
I'm glad that I have my meals planned for tomorrow... that makes life a little easier.
BTW, because I was better with food today... I'm not feeling as uncomfortable.
I, too, have had Gastro-intestinal issues. Late night eating, etc.
So, my successes today were few ... but I am very happy with having met my goal with water & also dieting pretty well.
Tomorrrow iis a fresh new day, and I am hoping that I sleep well, tonight & will be able to get some paperwork done and something done in the kitchen would be nice, too.
Hope your day is great, again, tomorrow!
Love and hugs,

, for 6 whole glasses of water and for keeping up with your dieting schedule!
I am starting a soup diet tomorrow, for detox, only for a few days though, it is not meant
to be for more, just to jumpstart into something more healthy.
