good morning I am off work today yahoo! TwinkleToes - you hung 20 pieces of artwork this morning AND dealt with a pile of stuff taller than you? WOWZA so far fed animals took puppy to daycare put clean dishes away washed stragglers started a load of laundry did a bunch of texting related to DD housing app for next year at college I have to go to the MVD today, ugh. I need to bring a bunch of documentation so I will do that next yesterday I had a Chaos meeting and she is still annoyed at me. I mentioned that I was looking forward to new boss arriving and hoping for good leadership (kind of a motherhood and apple pie statement) at a meeting, and Chaos told me the new boss would do nothing, make no difference, it was up to us. I personally hope a new high paid leader does make a difference. Diane -- I think the new leader will be overwhelmed at first, they have such a huge job and many depts report into them. So I think for awhile Chaos will be unseen. but eventually I think new big shot will take a look. I am not sure what to wish for, as I think Chaos would throw me under the bus to save herself. On a diff note, Diane did you hear about the sick cat, any updates? Yesterday I took puppy for a walk in the park in the late afternoon. the flex of being home. I was able to go one hour before sunset and then I just worked an hour when we got back home. I decided I am a real dog person now. When I arrived at the park, there was only one car there and I'm lilke where is everyone - it is warm (36 degree F), it is only a drizzle (not pouring rain) -- perfect dog walking weather! I also reclaimed my dining room table yesterday! so happy.

Diane great work on the books from someone who doesn't own one single book.
I am drinking Green Matcha tea. It seems to make me feel full so i eat less. Great for someone who may want to drop a few pounds. I just like it hot with half and half and a good dollop of sugar.
Today i have to go out again this afternoon. Not much done here but i did delete about 30 emails

from someone who doesn't own one single book
Oust, oust, oust...you hurt my heart every time you say that! Do you use the library?
it is warm (36 degree F), it is only a drizzle (not pouring rain) -- perfect dog walking weather!
Yes, you do get used to being out in every kind of weather, because you have no choice!
Bree, I got one phone message from my senior client about the cat, and it just floored me, so that I did not call her back and decided to take a couple of days until I can talk to her again.
I don't know if anyone remembers this, but shortly after I met her she told me that a guy who briefly worked for her years before must have kept a key because someone was coming into her house when she wasn't there--this guy's name was Paul. Over the years I knew her it developed into quite the story, that despite changing her locks twice, getting a security system, and then actually putting padlocks on the inside of her doors he was still managing to get in "because he used to be in prison, and you know, they learn all the tricks there." At first I thought she was in the early stages of dementia and that it would get worse as time went on, but other than that one thing, it never did. To this day she is still smart, witty, has a good memory, is totally coherent, and has never said anything not related to this guy that made me think her mental faculties were declining.
After a while I would ask her not to talk to me about it, because I was totally up front about the fact that I didn't think the guy was coming in to her house. At least, after the lock changes and security system. So I told her this was just something we would have to disagree about. She still mentions it occasionally but I just change the subject and it has all been good.
Well, the day I talked to her and tried to convince her to confine the cat so she could make sure he was eating and using the pan, after several back and forths about it she said--"I don't see any point in trying to keep the door closed because--Diane--you know I'm not the only person who lives in this house, he comes and goes as he pleases now!" I just told her she should try her best to keep the door closed. Which, it turns out, she did, even though she had to fight with me about it first.
Anyway--yesterday I got this message from her. "Hi, I wanted to let you know I finally got a hold of the cat, I'm in the vet's exam room now waiting for them to come back in. They don't see any sign that he's blocked again, and they can't find anything wrong with him even though I haven't seen him eat a thing. So, the only thing I can think of is that Paul is feeding him."
Well--I was totally stunned, and sad, and mad at the same time. What does this mean, that she thinks Paul is feeding him? She will ignore the fact that the cat isn't eating her food because he's eating Paul's? She'll leave the door open now because the cat is okay and doesn't need watching?
I just couldn't call her back, I was so amazed at that statement. That means I don't know what the vet ended up saying--I hope at least that they noted a weight loss since the weight recorded at the emergency clinic, which would confirm that he wasn't eating. And, now that she grabbed the cat again to put him in the carrier, there will be another period where she won't be able to get hold of him, which means no medication and she can't even put anything into his food since he's not eating. I'm hoping maybe the vet suggested hospitalizing the cat for a day or two to observe, I imagine they have to realize she's not capable of giving him care, especially if she tells them a guy is breaking into the house to feed the cat.
So...I've actually been putting it out of my mind, if she calls again, I will not pick up and will let her leave a message so I can digest whatever she says before actually talking to her. I don't want to full out lose my temper and hang up on her, which I'm likely to do if this continues along the same path. This also makes me sad because if her mind is progressing this far into this story, what does this mean for her, and for her other cats? She really has no one checking on her now that the dog has died and she no longer has dog walkers coming to her house twice a day. The neighbor I know across the street gets so aggravated by her that she told me she only talks to her maybe once a week now. Clearly she needs someone to help her and I just can't do that from so far away.

Hi cando!
I forgot to post my next list, I get so worked up about my senior client. I thought maybe I should call her my ex-client, but somehow although she's not technically a client anymore, she is definitely not "ex"!
Next:
Take dog out and feed her 10 minutes on first floor Check for mail and packages Bring smaller bookshelf box in from front porch

Twinkletoes I am cheering you on so hard. You have done an incredible amount <3 Done: Load of laundry on Plants watered Pan cleaned for dinner Washed feather dusters from last night's dusting Boyfriend has cleaned the toilet and sink in the master bathroom. I'll see how he has done and put money on sending him back to do it again Aiming to tackle some more decluttering upstairs tonight, and to get some more laundry on. I want to wash the towels and bathmats from the master bathroom as the rest of that room is shaping up well.
