bree Good news that she is eating dry food and other treats. Probably not anything that I was mentioning - she just likes gravy Diane - my undiagnosed thyroid cats would beg and beg - yet barely touch it when offered. Of course they dropped weight too until we figured out what was going on.

Wow, that's interesting, mine ate everything they could find, I had to close them in a different room so they didn't eat the other cats' food because their plate would be finished in about 5 seconds.
I looked up delectables, and I see a "broth" which looks like it has noodles in it but it's probably slivers of meat, and something called lickable puree--but I don't see the kind that used to be actual gravy--it looked exactly like the kind people have in their gravy boats at Thanksgiving.
I'm eating dinner now and I guess I'm done for the day. I have to make sure I'm sleeping early to be up and ready for my appointment in the morning.

Hi Everyone! catcats I hope you get to feeling better ! I am sneaking in for the end of the week and weekend. I have so much to do it seems unreal. I need to just get the timer going 10 on 10 off. I also need to start filling out my day books again. I just left them in the guest room when i moved back into my bedroom. I feel lost without them helping me keep track of life. I will have to have read back amnesty tonight as I am barely going. I think for the night I will just get a couple of items done before getting ready for bed. I think it will be a trash run and a kitty care time. The kitty care is the most important. I need to do their fresh water, top up the food bowls, and lots of petting. And check the garage door is closed and turn on the alarms.

((( TML))) sorry you have so much on your plate.
I slept hard. DVD called at 6:30 and offered to bring dinner.
DONE: texted food order found a movie put dishes away
NEXT UP: take supplements pm routine

Just wanted to check in. Made an important call re: Mom’s LTC policy Been going to work.
DH fired the painters who did almost everything wrong including using the wrong paint & ruining a few things. He hired new painters. So much better, he says. I think they’ll be finished today. Contractor for Master Bathroom remodel started back working this week. His wife passed about a week ago. He wants to keep working as he needs it to keep himself going right now. Very sad. He said evenings are the worst cause he can’t call her anymore when he gets home. So very sad. I haven’t been in the house since he’s been back & since the new painters started. DH got upset with me on Monday when he did something opposite what we had spoken about earlier that morning. I asked a question that pissed him off. He is a controlling type person who doesn’t like to be questioned. You’d think I’d know these things about him after 38 years of marriage. He is sweet & wonderful in so many ways but can be controlling. Anyway, I told him never mind & you just surprise me & do everything. I trust your decisions as you know a few things I’m particular about & we’ve been to enough places together & mostly like the same things. Honestly, I am tired of him making a couple major costly mistakes & keep adding things on to the project which was originally just getting most all our floors replaced. It has grown out of control & more & more got added to the project. Anyway, it will be nice when done& I will have to like whatever he does, now. I’m so done with it all & am not a happy camper… A woman likes to decorate her home. But I am way past done. Besides, it will be very nice. DH usually does have good tastes.
Over a month of my plans have gone awry due to the house stuff. I am further behind on very, very important stuff & I had time deadlines. I am way more stressed than I’ve ever been in my life & yesterday was 31 years since I gave birth to my estranged DD. 31 years ago was one of my happiest days of my life! Now, it is filled with sadness. I miss her so much! Yet, she is putting us through so much & turned our lives upside down. Enough said!
Hugs to all. Cd

Last night I loaded my car with things to take to a local HS group that is having a garage sale this weekend. They will be dropped off today after work. Can I have a WOOHOO!! It is like bailing a sinking ship with a teaspoon -- but it is a load that is GONE!!
Once the weather breaks and the driveway isnt a skating rink (and it is warmer outside) I will be much more motivated!

Good morning all!
My spoons for this week are depleted! I am not even going to PT. I'm not sure why I am so tired and sore.
Little by little I see an improvement in everything but my neuropathy and some um leakage issues - ick!
I will soldier on.
Good luck today everyone.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! peaceseeker hope you get a spoon or two back today! ohblondie congrats! Every bit out counts cando I am so sorry you are going through so much right now. It must be a bittersweet day as you remember DD being born. Hugs!! And anyone going through so much upheaval at the home with all the renovations and painting woud be stressed I think. How exciting when it ends, it will be like a new house! So my adventure is that I let puppy escape today! We were going to daycare and I said let's go and walked out without putting her on a leash! my brain was just off I guess. well puppy (in the pouring rain) ran wildly and gleefully around the yards; I was so worried because we live off a road that is busiest in morning traffic and I just can't believe how risky her wild run could be. thankfully she ran to a house two doors down and they don't have fenced yard but are bordered on three sides by fences, so it kind of contained puppy's wild run. then the neighbor came to the door and gave me a piece of turkey. puppy came up - more to meet the neighbor than the turkey, Thank You God, and I captured her and took one soggy pup to daycare! yesterday my BIL came over and fixed my fence!! He put the slats back on and also reinforced a few places that were sagging. so puppy is now safe and sound -- this morning when she ran out (before the Great Escape) she ran right to her escape route and was pawing at it! Puppy is like a joyful, loving two year old human. She is so vulnerable when she escapes, she'd go with anyone, and she'd run right into traffic. oh puppy !!!
redheaderin I was thinking a cable or something if I could not get the fence repaired but there are so many things she could get tangled around in my yard that it would not work long term.
now getting my fence replaced is on the back burner, I just don't have the funds and these repairs seem like they will work
I took puppy for a long walk yesterday. it was 50 and sunny! crazy weather. Park was more active but not too bad, and people not dogs, which makes for easier walks. after the walk, it was abouot 7:40 when I got home and all I did was the dishes and I went to bed early.
today I have so much to do. work and housework. I am planning to do a work task, followed by quick housekeeping task, and use my lunch to do chores.
I made pancakes for breakfast as I am eating down my food! but I'll be doing a shop for the week that DD is home which is tomorrow!
I think this is the first St. Patrick's day in my life that I won't be celebrating in some fashion and it is on a Friday! Makes me kind of sad. I just did not think about it, did not try to make any plans, and realized today uh oh. oh well.

Good morning everyone! I'm back from my xray appointment, checking me in took a long time and then the xray tech told me it would be 13 different pictures and I thought I'd be there forever. But she was very quick and efficient and they all worked the first time so it wasn't too bad. Everyone at that hospital is so nice and easy to work with, but I still get stressed out over appointments like this.
Ohblondie, you know I love when people get donations out of the house!
Cando, I hope the last renovations go quickly and that you like them--it will be so good when this period of time is over so you can go back to your regular life.
PS, did you ever get the wheelchair you were thinking about? I'm hoping you get some energy back so you can go back to your regular life too!
walked out without putting her on a leash!
Bree, that was always my fear when dog walking, that I would be distracted and not put a leash on the right way or something and lose someone's dog--especially in the houses that didn't have a double door but opened right to the outside. I'm sure I showed OCD tendencies because I would always check and double check the leash and collar before I went outside.
I still need to eat breakfast and hope I can be productive today, I always feel exhausted after stress events.
Diane

I forgot to own up to going to the thrift store near work. Everything is a dollar and my friend was working and I think she sometimes gives me things 2/$1. I bought a nice winter "ski" coat. and a pair of jeans that actually almost fit. they are a little big but I cant quite go down to a smaller size. I found a pile of jeans and have been wearing them but they really are too big to wear safely - as in one pair keeps falling down...... So distracted today
