Okay, at least I did one thing this afternoon--I repotted the second large Norfolk Pine. I made more mess, of course, which I will clean up tomorrow. I look forward to seeing these two plants grow.

Time for dinner, and that will be it for today. I did do a few things, I talked to my decluttering client again, started cleaning up the mess in the plant room, and filled out most of the paperwork for the bank, I just have to find one more piece of information, make a copy, and pack it up to mail.
Good night everyone, see you tomorrow morning!

Hi All !!
I did do all the dailies, but no real big things today. Changed the hummer feeders, and I haven't been seeing them lately, so it is possible that they have flown south already. The nectar was already made and in the fridge though, so no biggie, just my time. I watered the indoor plants and the ones on the porch. Brushed the cats. Had a couple of phone calls. I should have weeded again, but just didn't.
My best to all.

Good morning! Last night was the first night in a long time that the dog did not have to go out in the middle of the night. She had hardly any anxiety when we came in from outside at 8, and she fell asleep right away. I slept for 7 hours with 2 very brief wakeups. Nothing different happened yesterday, so I have no idea why there is one good night in the middle of the bad ones, but I'll take it!
And, the high today will be 74, which will feel better. Tomorrow we start 4 days of highs near 60--which should at least make the mosquitoes sluggish so I can finally work in the yard.
Here's hoping for a productive day for all of us!

Good Thursday! Hi Diane Just got home from the vet for puppy's check up - all is well! cha ching too. Over 300$ w her vacs etc. This has been a big year for vet costs as all three were in for sick visits for one reason or another. so far today, I did the dishes, cleaned the litter, took the trash and recycling out to curb, went to vet. Now to work work. feeling kind of gloomy. found out some nasty family stuff and when I asked the perpetrator she called me names and invalidated my feelings. I am used to those old tricks so I just stuck to my point and did not get sucked in or apologize for being a decent human being. ugh. but it has cast a shadow. it is an unfortunate situation that wont change cuz the perp does not care one bit! and she will do it again and again cuz she just does not give a (blank). on a different note reve I notice you have talked about petrol and tyres? are you in the UK? I just read a book set in England and a person was putting on a "waxed jacket" - I picture a jacket with candle wax on it but I am guessing it is what I might call a windbreaker? A light jacket that is worn in spring and fall and is waterproof? they were also calling someone a "scully" which I gather is not a compliment? now to do work work. I am home today so I hope to do a few household chores in between my dining room table is a paper mess. I lost control! I need to make four piles: bills to be paid; stuff to be filed; stuff to look at in a bit; coupons. I shred every day so that stuff is gone but the rest is strewn all over my table. have a good day

BTW it was good to read that we really don't need those expensive filters for our furnaces. I was buying them. I need to get a new one so I'll go back to basics. Also in case you ever need this information, and I hope you don't, don't put a new filter in if you have a skunked animal in your house wait until the skunk issue is dealt with or otherwise it will go in your filter and spread throughout your house! how do I know this??? Boycat is all recovered from his skunk ordeal, and his eye problem is gone too!

danny15 We too have non-stop door and door handle issues. Another option might be a decorative matching "plate" behind the door knob on both sides. The hardware is installed through the plates and covers up any extra or too large holes left behind with the handle switch.

Good Morning everyone. It is trash day and I'm extra excited! I have my regular garbage can to the curb, My extra garbage can with yard clutter, curbed, 1 can full of yard clippings, 1 recycle bin full, My vegetable trimmings, egg shells and coffee grounds are in the compost. My kitty is hilariously happy with her cleaned out litter box...she just sat in there for a while to admire it. I just got the old stuff out of the refrigerator with no wiping down. What a convenience to have all these things picked up one time per week. Grateful!

Hello Diane! No, our county and even in the city of Pensacola, doesn't have compost or kitchen scraps pick up available. Until we do, to keep this stuff from just rotting in a trash bag..in the dump. I let it all rot In a large landscaping container and I add twigs and leaves to the top to keep down the smell or insects. We do have a wonderful community group that will accept it if you take it there yourself. www.fromthegroundupgardenpensacola.com
