Catcats, your doctor sounds wonderful--perfect solution, don't take the antibiotics unless you need them but have them on hand in case you do. I can tell you my doctor wouldn't have done that, and my vet wouldn't have either! You deserve a rest today, put your feet up and read a good book!
It's lunch time already but I'll do a list first, I have to call my decluttering client. I usually try to call her during the morning so she can talk over her goals for the day.
TO DO:
Call decluttering client 10 minutes on plants Restock water in fridge Delete 10 hard emails

Diane, I started an answer to you but it was way too much for this thread so I moved it over to my blog. I'm also doing some venting over there, trying to keep too much of my detailed problems out of the work part of this thread.

catcats one of our kitties now gives what I call *love bites*. One of the reasons I adopted her was because she was a very assertive (aggressive) kitten with her siblings. I took her sister also. We are just careful not to get her too worked up and when she starts giving little signals we stop petting. The next-door neighbor's cat is a nipper too. She was feral so that is not unusual. Over the years we have had many biters, generally not a problem but yeah, if the bite breaks the skin we would keep the wound very clean. I hope you don't need the stronger antibiotics.

wow danny15 your plumbing and heating issues are a lot!!! this is probably too late but is it feasible to convert one day from an oil supplied furnace to a gas one? Mine is just hooked up right in the basement and there are no worries about lines and stuff and digging. of course that is probably 1000s and 1000s. I had a workshop for the morning today for my job. it was ok. we had free food! so I had fruit and bagels and juice for breakfast, and a nice lunch with treats and even a snack for later. free food is good food! Otherwise today I had puppy out to daycare early to get to workshop on time after workshop I am now working at home for the rest of the day need to get a few things done on this one big project so it can move along over the next week I am maybe a grumpy old lady but one of my newer colleagues is starting to bug me. they are an idea person, which is good, but they wait until late in the game to suggest all these new ideas and some are not that great, and it just (to me) adds more time and confusion and little added value. they like to talk a lot. yesterday I had my driveway sealed. glad it is over. I don't like dealing with that kind of stuff. puppy did not even bark once! not really a guard dog. took her for a walk last night and it was weird air conditions. we had a real heat wave for us, close to 90s, but it was starting to cool down. So I could feel different pockets of air as I walked pupster, for example I'd feel heat on my legs and colder on my shoulders. never had that before that I can recall. I am going to set my timer and do one hour of housework before I pick up puppy. She used to basically just watch me vac but now she follows me around and starts barking! So I have to get back to vac during her daycare time. I plan to use the hour to vac, mop floor, and work on dining room table which is still a mess. I do so much better with DD here! She is a great distraction from my sad thoughts due to family (blank) and I realize my desire to give her a clean house kept me so much more disciplined.

Bree, your walk in the changing air pockets sounds cool--was there any fog? I think fog happens when different temps meet and there's enough humidity.
Well, the dog seemed to want to go out, but she got down from the bed and her back legs gave out. She has been having more trouble with her back legs but this time they just slid out from under her. I helped her up and she was able to go outside but then she didn't do anything--had no interest. She hasn't been out since 1am, that's over 12 hours. So I brought her back inside--I've been helping her down the back stairs with the harness but she's able to go back up herself, this time I just kept the harness on and helped her up. So I ended up calling the vet to see if they could see her next week, and it turns out the guy who picks her up is out next week until Friday! First of all I hope her legs are okay til then, plus it means I'll probably have to walk there to get more medication to hold me until they see her and decide if there's something else they can try. I can't believe how much worse she got in various ways in the last year, this makes me so sad.
I ate a snack instead of lunch so now I have to eat a real lunch. I also have to call the insurance agent, I don't want to put that off until Monday, so I'll do that after I eat.

Ok so parts of the house are a wee bit chaotic because of doing several unfinished things through the day...but anyhow want to acknowledge the good things of today. ∆ Self care to start the day with swimming & pilates. ∆ Decided to make the best of a string of warm dry days by washing the wool rugs ▶▶which as I had to move a couple of bookshelves to one side I dusted off the first small bookshelf, rearranged the books (one book and an old childhood toy booted out) ∆ Vacuumed area under the mats ∆ Baked flapjack, as i was getting the yearnings for something naughty ∆ Getting closer to completing the shed (the final roof sheets are on, and part of the final side sheeting put on today, think it will take a couple more sessions before being ready ) ∆ Nipped to DIY store to buy plastic for shed window, and picked up some yummy sausages on the way home.

I did reach the insurance agent, he asked if we could discuss the new policy on Monday. I was thinking my policy ended in October but it's a week into November, so there's plenty of time.
Decade, I had to look up flapjack because here flapjacks means pancakes that you would eat for breakfast--not something naughty...seems it's compared to a granola bar but baked in a pan--sounds delicious! And not as naughty as some other baked goods you could make!

I don't know how that works. I would imagine that whoever buys this pace may want to do that. In the meantime, yeah, I sunk way too much money into the new oil tank, furnaces and AC's. The furnace company had told me there was a leak in the oil tank and replacing it was a necessity. I had a real oil tank company do the replacement not the furnace company. Turns out there was no leak (another screw-up by the furnace people) so a LOT of money wasted and tremendous stress for me. Oh well, that is in the past.
Very cool that you experienced those temperature differences at the same time.

Sorry folks, claiming readback amnesty again, but I am on vacation so I will have plenty time to catch up from tomorrow Done: Changed towels bathroom Changed towels kitchen Handled mail Load of laundry Vacuumed downstairs Achieved coffee table zero In other news - two car loads from work taken to the recycling centre, made use of two small cupboards I cleared out specifically for my stuff, hoping that my bathroom will be finished next week.
