Ok time to call it a day, I'm sat quietly enjoying the pleasure of sitting on a newly cleared rug, the third bookshelf is beside me, with some newly dusted and recaterergorized books.. I noticed many were collected or gifted about 20ish years ago when I settled down... When I was renting rooms and regularly moved it was easy (easier) to trim down belongings, especially when removal companies charged per box😁. The stack of self-help books will have to wait till daytime, they will only make me morose if I look at them tonight.. Meanwhile there is a humorous book I've been meaning to pick up again, and tonight seems an auspicious time to kick the late night YouTube habit and get back into actually reading my collection

(somehow got an extra half of a frame) swept put it together and turned mattress around discovered the elastic in my favorite older sheets has died. they are organic cotton and very soft. put new sheets in the wash took meds
I am going to go buy a sheet cover, some blank cards, a magazine and pizza!

notanotherdecade Not sure if this info is helpful to your "future life" but if you are applying for updated visas - they usually want historical information (such as what would be on your old passports). I just experienced this on a trip that I made last month - they needed to know the dates of previous travel and old visa ID numbers. This will actually expedite a new visa as they can easily reference if you have a history of lawful entry and exit on previous occasions. And, as we also recently discovered at my employer- certain government contracts require a complete history of your international travel. If your digital files are more organized than mine you could maybe put this info online for any future needs. PC

Last night I was very sore and took 2 Advil along with CBD and herbals for sleep. I didn't move all night and well into the morning. Knew it would make me start the day like a slug but sometimes it's worth it to get uninterrupted rest.
We got a lot of donations out today to different places. The Tabby Sisters had been getting very fussy about what they will eat. We had 4 large bags of dry food that were unopened and would not have been used by the expiration date. Normally we save food like that to feed the fox in the winter. Instead, we took it to a small shelter and got a tour of their facilities. Broke my heart. One of the dogs, a 7-month-old beagle/hound mix absolutely howled when we walked away from her run. Most of the animals were very, very young; no one was older than 4. The shelter is having a very hard time finding homes for any of them and they cannot take older animals as surrenders because people are not interested in adopting them. This economy is brutal on people having a hard time feeding their families let alone their pets.
I did a deep clean on 24 litter boxes and let them dry in the sun. Did another deep clean on 10 2-gallon water jugs. The day was warm and perfect for outdoor work with water. DD1 got all the trash and recycling together and dragged everything up to the road. We are mixing stuff together from the fridge for meals. Surprisingly, it's been healthy. Good proteins, veggies, whole grain breads and olive oil with herbs.
notanotherdecade sometimes it's a bit of a chore trying to figure out how to organize books but it's also fun isn't it? Continue to enjoy the fruits of your labor! Time for some book reading here and then bed.

Good morning everyone!
I would describe last night as fair, not good and not bad. The dog did have to go out at 12:30 and it was drizzling, but she went anyway and did what she needed to do. It took a while to fall back to sleep but then I slept okay for a few hours straight.
It's drizzling again this morning and apparently will do so on and off for the next several days. It's good for the yard, but will make it tricky to take the dog out if the rain is harder when she finally wants to go out. On the other hand, hopefully the rain means the people next door won't leave their dogs out for hours at a time.
I'm already getting nervous about tomorrow's vet visit, I need to stress to the guy picking her up that her legs are very bad and she needs to be lifted in and out of his car. And I'm afraid they'll tell me there's not anything else they can do for her.
Today I think I'll work on my 2 challenge projects that involve organizing the dresser drawers and cleaning up the stack of stuff next to a bookshelf. They are concrete things that I can concentrate on.

I'm finally ready to do a few lists, I spent the morning talking to my decluttering client and writing out a whole page of information to send to the vet along with the dog. I'm eating lunch now and will try to get something done over the next few hours.

I've been chipping away at stuff in the foyer. Little by little
DD1 and I just made the mouse house for transitioning from indoor to outdoor. We are very pleased with how it turned out and how easy it was.
Now this doesn't help with encouraging dejunking........ if I had gotten rid of broken things and extra junk in the garage I wouldn't have been able to piece the house together so well. I had an old, long, dark green planter; pieces of broken decorative garden stones to prop it up; some of the stones went on top to plug the drainage holes and to keep it from blowing over in the wind. I ordered small mammal bedding and timothy hay from Chewy. We made a nice layer of bedding and it was so light and fluffy there was no need to cut paper towels rolls for hidey places. I didn't want to add any seeds or nuts because I don't want to attract any other critters right now. We haven't caught any more mice. I did go ahead and put down a layer of timothy hay which might attract something but not much. As it gets colder and we start trapping and releasing I will put out a bit of food to get them thru the cold nights.
Took advantage of the warm day (may be the last) to hose out some vases and buckets from the garage for donation. They are drying in the sun. Sorted items on a long table we keep in the garage for a staging area ~ good books to library, not so good books to be sold to Wonder Books, some good saleable items for animal thrift to sell, nice children's clothes and shoes for church donation, some good animal stuff for the senior dog and cat sanctuary of a friend. As the piles get big enough they will be bagged/boxed and out of here!
I am slowing down because my back is saying, enough.

Danny, your mouse sanctuary sounds wonderful--I was going to say that the bunnies will be interested in the hay, but maybe not while the green things are still growing. I bought some timothy hay for the bunnies in the yard during the summer and put some out, but there was no interest. I'm quite sure though, that when all the plants have died and there is snow on the ground, they will be happy to see the hay!
